Chapter 36 - Chapter 36 Departure to New Mexico

"So, Director Fury, is there something you need from me today?" Noah asked, setting down his coffee cup after taking a sip, looking at the other party.

"Noah, this is our first time meeting, isn't it? Although you already know my identity, I still need to introduce myself. Nick Fury, the current Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Nick Fury said to Noah, taking a sip of coffee.

"I came to see you today mainly to meet you, and then to ask you some things," Nick Fury said to Noah, setting down his coffee cup, leaning forward, and lacing his fingers on his thighs.

"Oh, what do you want to ask? If I know, I can tell you."

"You were at the industrial expo hosted by Stark Industries yesterday, weren't you?" Nick Fury asked.

"Yes."

"Besides Iron Man and his friend wearing Iron Man Suits at the scene, there was another high-tech armor wearer of unknown identity. Do you know who that was?"

Nick Fury stared at Noah. From the beginning, he suspected the relationship between Noah and that unknown person, and now that he saw Blitzcrank and Lissandra next to Noah, he was even more certain of his guess.

Noah looked at Nick Fury, knowing he was suspicious, but Noah had no intention of hiding anything. He directly extended his hand, then looked at Lissandra. Lissandra also understood Noah's thoughts. Nanomachines surged from the belt at Noah's waist, flowed along Noah's body to his arm, and then formed the arm part of the armor.

"That person was me," Noah said to Nick Fury, shaking the hand wearing the armor, directly revealing his identity so Nick Fury wouldn't have to probe further.

"You… were these things given to you by the organization behind you?" Nick Fury didn't expect the other party to be so honest, without making anything up. Then he wanted to understand where Noah's high-tech products came from. He thought they might have been given to Noah by the mysterious organization behind him.

"I developed them myself, or you could say they were given to me by the force behind me. Do you have anything else to ask?" Noah answered Nick Fury's question, then had Lissandra retract the armor. The arm part of the armor once again transformed into nanomaterials and flowed back to the belt.

Seeing Nick Fury fall into thought again, Noah also began to ask his questions.

"Director Fury, have you been following this matter?" Noah waved his hand, and a projection rose from the table, displaying several news articles about a meteorite falling in New Mexico. Nick Fury was initially surprised by this projection technology, then looked at the projected content.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. is indeed paying attention to this matter. I even dispatched Agent Coulson to handle it. Why, have you seen related events in future visions?" Nick Fury asked Noah. Seeing Noah personally ask about this, he guessed that the other party might have seen related scenes of this event in some future memories, which is why he wanted to understand it.

"More or less, but the specific details need to be seen on-site first. Tell me the location of your S.H.I.E.L.D. outpost first. Once I understand the situation on-site, I'll tell you the information."

When Noah saw the news of the meteorite falling, he thought of Thor's storyline. This meteorite should be Mjolnir, which Odin threw onto Earth, and Thor was also banished to Earth by Odin due to his arrogance. So, the plot of Thor 1 was about to begin.

Because the timelines of Iron Man 2 and Thor 1 were a bit tight, Noah was busy with the Iron Man 2 mission and didn't have time to go there. Now that the plot here had temporarily concluded, Noah wanted to quickly go to Thor's side to avoid missing out on a mission.

"How will you get there? Do you need S.H.I.E.L.D. to send you?" Nick Fury asked after informing Noah of Coulson and the others' location.

"No, I'll go myself in a bit."

Then, Nick Fury began to chat with Noah, interspersed with Nick Fury's inquiries about certain future information. This was mainly what he came for. Noah only vaguely brushed him off with a few words, casually mentioning some fragments of the later plot, but this was enough for Nick Fury.

A moment later, Nick Fury left. This time he left through the main gate, no longer climbing the wall. As soon as Nick Fury returned to the commercial vehicle, the Agent waiting for him greeted him. Nick Fury nodded in acknowledgment, and just as he was about to get into the car, a figure flew into the sky above the manor he had just exited.

Nick Fury immediately noticed that the figure was Noah. Noah had already put on the Source Project Armor, preparing to head to the town where Mjolnir had landed.

Nick Fury watched Noah in the sky. The figure also saw him, waved at him, then shot straight up into the sky. A few seconds later, a sonic boom sounded, and a sonic boom cloud appeared in the sky, rising high into the atmosphere.

Nick Fury quietly watched the clouds in the sky being pushed away by the sonic boom, and his judgment of the strength of the force behind Noah changed again. Then he coughed, reminding the Agent who was craning his neck to look at the sky. The Agent gave an awkward smile, then prepared to drive back to S.H.I.E.L.D..

Nick Fury took out his phone and began to contact Coulson.

"Coulson, our little prophet will be coming your way soon. Keep an eye out," Nick Fury told Coulson directly.

"What? Is Noah coming? Do you need me to pick him up here?" Coulson asked. He didn't know why Noah was coming here, but since Nick Fury knew about it, he didn't need to ask further. He would understand when Noah arrived.

"No, no need. Just keep an eye on the sky later. He'll probably arrive... in an hour or two."

After Nick Fury finished speaking, he ended the conversation. Coulson on the other end was a bit confused, pondering the meaning of Nick Fury's words. Then he went to the temporarily built high platform and began to look at the sky. Hawkeye Barton, who was already on the high platform, looked at Coulson, who immediately looked up at the sky, somewhat puzzled.

"Coulson, what are you doing?"

"The Director just contacted me and said a guest would be arriving soon," Coulson replied.

"Then why are you staring at the sky? Is Iron Man coming here later?" Hawkeye asked in confusion. If someone is coming, why aren't you going downstairs? What are you doing up here?

"No, you'll know soon."

Subsequently, they began to casually chat about the mysterious hammer below. They were still very interested in this hammer, which was suspected to be an alien object.

About twenty minutes later, Coulson looked out the window of the temporarily built tent laboratory at the sky. He had just calculated the time Nick Fury mentioned and felt that it would be a long time until Noah arrived, so Coulson came down first to complete his work.

"Unidentified flying object approaching in the sky. Is it Iron Man?"

Hawkeye's voice suddenly came through the communication channel. Hawkeye had discovered an unidentified flying object approaching in the distance from the observation deck. Hawkeye had already issued a warning to the defending personnel present, and all the Agents on guard raised their guns towards the direction Hawkeye indicated.

As the flying object in the sky approached, Coulson and the others also clearly saw its appearance: an unidentified person wearing high-tech armor. From its appearance, it didn't look like Iron Man's Iron Man Suit.

Hawkeye pulled out a special arrow from his quiver, intending to shoot it into the sky. Coulson's expression changed next to him, and he quickly stopped Hawkeye, then hurried up to the observation deck.

"Barton, wait! Everyone, put down your weapons. This is one of us."

Just now, Noah's voice suddenly came through Coulson's earphone. Coulson immediately realized that the person inside the strange armor in the sky was Noah, so he quickly stopped Hawkeye's attack.

Noah in the sky, seeing that the people below were no longer aiming guns at him, accelerated towards Coulson. A few seconds later, Noah slowly landed on the observation deck where Coulson was. He had just had Lissandra hack into Coulson's communication channel so he could warn Coulson in advance. As for why Noah could arrive here so quickly, that goes back to when he took off from the manor.
