I sighed as I thought to myself 'Not again… When can I rest? How many times does this make now? The third time?' I sighed as I looked around me, it looked like I was in a forest of some sort. There were trees all around me. They looked to be palm trees and there were a lot of bug noises around me. "Great… I'm in some type of humid tropical environment" It was very hot and humid out and I looked up at the sky to figure out what time it was. "About midday…" I then looked at myself to see what I was wearing and saw I was wearing a white tunic shirt with blue jeans and was wearing a pair of sandals. I sighed again and looked for a good spot to sit down, and found a good spot under a tree with some shade. After a moment's rest I thought about all that's happened to me and how I got here.

"Sasuke! No!"

I looked down and saw there was a hand covered in lightning chakra through my stomach, and I started to hear a hysterical laugh. "HAHAHAHA! That's one bond severed, time for my last bond." I heard my buddy Naruto cry and yell at Sasuke as I faded out of consciousness.

"I can't believe Sasuke would do that, after all we've been through…" A few drops of tears left my eyes as I thought about all that happened now in my past life. "Naruto… Sakura… Kakashi… Ino… I let you all down… I couldn't stop Sasuke and stop the infinite tsukuyomi!" My blood started to boil and I got up and punched the tree I was sitting under and the tree got launched into the air, uprooted by my strength. I was going to sit down again but I saw a fruit land right where the tree was and thought to myself 'Maybe, I am a little hungry…' I grabbed the fruit and it looked to be a pineapple with some weird designs on it, but I didn't think much of it and sat down to think again.
'Ino… My love… I'm sorry…' A few more tears started to fall and I continued to think 'I hope Naruto was able to beat Sasuke… I guess even though I trained so much I still wasn't on their level…' I started to get mad again but I tried to reign in my anger and slapped myself 'Alright! This isn't your first rodeo, I need to find out where I'm at. At least this time I didn't start out as a toddler.' I moved my hand that had the fruit close to my mouth and right before I was about to eat it I thought 'I don't know anything about this place I shouldn't eat weird fruit, especially since it has these weird markings on it.' With that thought I put the fruit on the ground and got up. "Well, I guess any direction is good, might as well go this way." With that thought I started my hike through the forest.

"Hah!" I yelled as I crossed my fingers and only a poof of smoke came out. "Damn! Looks like I don't have enough chakra for a shadow clone anymore." I kicked a rock that was on the ground and then looked at my body 'Well I am a couple years younger than when I was alive. If I had to say I was probably like sixteen or seventeen years old.' I sighed "Man, this is starting to get really frustrating." I then held out my hand and tried to concentrate on my arm. "Nothing! My sacred gear is gone…" I scowled and let out a yell in frustration and punched another tree into the horizon "RAHH!" I started to breath heavily and I was about to lash out again but all of a sudden I fainted.

'Damn, this kid has a fiery temper.' I thought as I walked up to the kid who passed out in frustration. The kid has red short hair that was off to the side but now was disheveled. He was around 5'11'' and looked to be around seventeen. "He's probably Luffy's age but what is he doing on this deserted island? I probably wouldn't have come here if a tree almost didn't hit our ship as we were passing by. By the looks of it he probably threw that tree in anger." I smirked and fixed my own red hair then grabbed the kid and headed back to my ship. 'Maybe Luffy and him can be friends.'

I woke up with a start and looked around me, I was in a room of some sort laying on a bed, and from the subtle swaying I could tell I was on a ship. "What've I gotten myself into now…" I got up from the bed and headed to the window in the room and looked out of it. Outside the window was a big expanse of ocean with clear blue sunny sky. 'How'd I get here?' I thought and started to make my way to the door in the room that led out, but the door opened and a man walked through it. He has red slick back hair, has one arm and is a little taller than me. He looked at me and said "Oh, you finally woke up."
I looked at him and said "Where am I?" He smiled and said " Relax kiddo, I just brought you to my ship. You were on a relatively small island that was inhabited so when I found you there I brought you here and am just gonna drop you off at the next island we stop at." I nodded my head in understanding and asked "How'd you find me?" The man who I thought I recognized from somewhere chuckled and said "Well, we were just passing the island when we saw a tree almost landed on our ship so we decided to check it out, and you know the rest." I rubbed the back of my head nervously and said "Sorry about that, when I get frustrated I tend to lash out." He nodded his head and said "No harm no foul, my name is Shanks I'm the captain on this ship. What's your name?"
'...Shanks?' I frowned a little and said "My name is Sasaki. Thanks for picking me up." meanwhile inside my head 'Shanks! From one piece?!?' Shanks smiled and said "No problem kiddo, by the way I saw this on you and thought you might want it." He tossed me the fruit that I thought I left behind and he continued "It's a devil fruit, I'm not sure what kind but could be powerful. I'd say you're pretty lucky to find it in the middle of nowhere." I looked at the fruit in shock and mumbled "I almost ate it…"
Shanks nodded his head and said "It's a tough decision to make, it could be anything and you sacrifice your ability to swim." Before he could continue however I made up my mind and bit down on the pineapple shaped fruit, and instantly regretted it. It was the fowlest tasting thing I've ever tasted and I've been through two lives worth of food tasting. However I toughed it out and swallowed down the horrendous bite of fruit. Meanwhile I saw Shanks was slack jawed and was staring at me with disbelief. "J-Just like that!" I nodded my head and said "Yes. My goal is to become stronger and I've heard devil fruits can be powerful so I decided to eat it."
Shanks composed himself and said "I see… What is your goal?" I smirked and said "I want to be strong enough to be able to protect my friends!" I clutched my right hand in front of me and out of it came a yellow and blue dragon clawed hand. Shanks raised an eyebrow and said "That's an admirable goal. Is that your devil fruit power? What is it?" I continued to smirk and said "It's the…"
