Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5: LORD LUTHER

As night fell upon the kingdom, Lord Luther - the Dark King of Dumas - was engaged in a sinister task. With a wicked smile, he used his powerful dark magic to drain the souls from innocent victims, feeding his own dark power.

He was known far and wide as the king of the dark, a ruthless ruler who would stop at nothing to ensure his own strength and power. He was feared by all who knew his name, and his presence in a territory brought nothing but terror and despair.

Dark Luther was an ancient and evil force, having survived thousands of long years to become a powerful and ruthless being. He had walked the earth for more than 2,000 years, spreading a reign of terror and darkness wherever he went. The mere mention of his name sent chills down the spines of even the bravest warriors, and his presence was whispered in hushed, fearful tones. Despite his age, his strength and power seemed to only continue to grow over time.

{ THE DARK DUMAS TERRITORY}

Lord Luther, the ominous king of the dark, gathered his evil commanders around him, his expression grim.

"Any updates on the child that is foretold to be our downfall?" he demanded, his voice echoing with authority.

His commanders exchanged uneasy glances, each knowing the importance of the prophecy and the threat the child posed to their power. One of them cautiously spoke up.

"We've received word that the child is still in hiding, my lord," he reported, Lord Luther's anger flared as he listened to his commanders' report. He slammed his fist down on the table, causing the ground to tremble.

"Incompetent fools!" he roared, his cold eyes narrowing in fury. "How long will it take you all to find a child? It's been decades, and you've still come up empty-handed. Are you all so incompetent that a mere child is difficult to find? I've had enough of this nonsense!"

His commanders shrank back, intimidated by his wrath,

" My lord, grant me the request to find the child", Zura requested, as she bowed,

Lord Luther, still seething with frustration, turned his attention to a female Dark Force named Zura, who had bravely stepped forward.

"Zura," he said, his voice still filled with anger but slightly softened. "You dare ask to go on an errand to find the child?" Zura remained steadfast, her eyes meeting him with unwavering determination.

"Yes, my lord," she replied, her voice steady and defiant. "I believe I have the best chance of locating the child. Let me prove myself to you, and I will not fail",

Lord Luther regarded Zura with a mix of skepticism and intrigue.

"Request granted," he said bluntly, although the hint of doubt was evident in his tone. "But don't expect me to have any hopes on you. After all, you are among the low-level evil forces."

Zura, unfazed by his words, merely bowed her head in acknowledgment, a steely determination sparking in her eyes,

Lord Luther's gaze hardened as he looked at Zura.

"If you succeed in bringing me the child, I will reward you with a high rank within my forces," he promised, his voice cold and calculated. "But if you fail...you must destroy yourself. I have no use for incompetence." Zura, undeterred by the threat, met his gaze with a defiant glint in her eyes.

"I will not fail, my lord," she said firmly. "I will bring you the child",

Lord Luther extended his hand and, using his dark magic, cast a teleportation ring that enveloped Zura in swirling energy. In an instant, she was transported out of his territory.

Lord Luther watched her disappear, a small smirk playing on his lips.

"Let's see if she can truly live up to her words," he muttered to himself, his mind already scheming and planning,

Lord Luther's expression darkened as he clenched his fists in anger.

"Ever since I received the news of being defeated by a mere sorcerer, I have known no peace," he growled, his voice filled with fury. "I will do everything in my power to find that child and consume his essence. No one will be able to stop me from ensuring my own survival. That prophecy will not come to pass, no matter what."

He clenched his jaw, determination blazing in his eyes

.

"I will not be defeated by some prophesied child. I am the king of the dark."

Lord Luther's eyes blazed with fury as he addressed his Dark Forces. "If I do not receive news about that child soon, I will personally annihilate every single one of you," he thundered, his voice echoing with authority. "I will not tolerate incompetence, nor will I tolerate failure. Do you understand?"

The Dark Forces, now trembling with fear, nodded vigorously.

"Yes, my lord," they chorused, their voices shaking. "We will find that child and bring the information to you immediately."

Lord Luther, feeling the need to replenish his power, beckoned for his apprentice Elia to approach.

"Elia," he called, his cold voice slicing through the air. "Go and gather more souls for me to consume. I have a hunger that needs to be satiated."

Elia, ever the loyal apprentice, bowed respectfully.

"Of course, my lord," He replied, his voice steady despite the grim task".

As Halloween approached, the city was swathed in decorations, and the festive atmosphere was palpable. Homes were adorned with colorful lights, spooky decorations, and jack-o'-lanterns. Emrys's parents were busy decorating their home, and Emrys was happily assisting them.

Emrys, in particular, was enjoying himself, laughing and joking with his parents as they hung up spider lights and pumpkin-shaped lights. He held up a carved pumpkin and admired it's handiwork, his face filled with joy.

"Hey, look how great this looks!" he exclaimed, his eyes sparkling,

Shina's confused expression deepened as she tried to understand her son's sudden desire to switch schools.

"Emrys," she said gently, her voice tinged with curiosity. "Why do you want to change schools all of a sudden?

Emrys's voice filled with sadness and frustration as he confessed.

"I'm always bullied and mocked in school," he admitted. "It's like 99 percent of the students hate me. They call me names, push me around, and make my life a living hell."

" What's the reason for that?", Rizo asked,

Emrys sighed heavily, his shoulders slumping as he answered his father's question.

"According to what Sola, my classmate, said...it's because I'm a Bronze grade student," he murmured. "They believe low grades like me are easy targets to pick on and make fun of."

Rizo's expression hardened as he listened to Emrys's explanation.

"So, they're bullying you because you're a Bronze grade student?" he clarified, his voice filled with anger. "That's ridiculous. No one should be treated that way just because of their grade." Shina nodded in agreement, her expression filled with determination.

"I think getting Emrys out of that academy is for the best," she said firmly. "He shouldn't have to endure such bullying and cruelty. We need to find a better, supportive environment for him where he can be treated with respect and kindness."

Rizo turned to Emrys and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, son," he reassured him. "I'll make sure to raise the funds necessary to transfer you to another academy within two weeks. Just give me some time, and we'll get you out of that horrible place."

Emrys looked up at his father with a mixture of hope and gratitude. "Really, Dad?" he asked, his voice tinged with cautious optimism,

" Yes, son…", he answered. Emrys, filled with happiness, bounded towards his parents and enveloped them in a tight embrace.

Rizo and Shina chuckled softly as they hugged back, their hearts warmed by their son's display of affection.

"Easy there, buddy," Rizo teased, ruffling Emrys's hair playfully. "You might squeeze the life out of us."

Shina gently patted Emrys's back, her voice filled with affectionate amusement. "Looks like someone's feeling better."
