Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7: ZURA VS THE GOLD GRADE

Zura lifted Emrys into the air with her powerful dark magic, holding him firmly in her grasp. As she examined him closely, recognition flickered across her face. "So you're the child, my master Luther spoke of," she said, a note of satisfaction in her voice. "My senses never deceived me. You're the one I've been searching for".

Emrys, his eyes filled with tears, mustered the courage to speak amidst his fear and despair. His voice shook with anger and anguish as he confronted Zura. "You killed my parents," he cried, his voice trembling. "You destroyed my happiness. You will pay for this!"

Zura's laughter echoed in the air, a chilling sound that sent chills down Emrys' spine. "The only pay I'm going to receive," she declared, her voice filled with sinister delight, "will be the reward my master will grant me. You're just a tool for my promotion to a higher rank, boy."

Zura, maintaining her grip on Emrys with her powerful dark powers, effortlessly pulled him out of the house. Then, with a flick of her wrist, she ignited the house, setting it ablaze.

Emrys, his heart breaking with grief and terror, could only watch as the fire consumed everything he had held dear, including the lifeless bodies of his parents. The home he once knew was reduced to ashen ruins, its warmth and memories engulfed in the sinister flames.

Zura, her grip still tight on Emrys, glided through the street with supernatural speed, the air around them enveloped in a shroud of dark fog. She moved with purpose, her destination clear in her mind.

Emrys, propelled along by Zura's dark magic, was powerless to resist. He struggled weakly against her hold, fear and grief coursing through him with every step that drew him further away from his home and the horrors he'd just witnessed.

"It's time for my reward," she declared, her words echoing into the night. "My master will be pleased with my successful capture."

As Zura was making her way to her destination, her path was suddenly obstructed by the unexpected appearance of the Gold Grade wizards, who had been patrolling the area.

The wizards, known for their immense power and high standing, faced off against Zura, their expressions tense and alert. They eyed her warily, recognizing the dark aura that surrounded her and the captured boy,

" Release the victim", Dylan ordered, Zura, her gaze locked with Dylan's, responded with a defiant demeanor. "And who do you think you are to order me to release the boy?"

Dylan, unfazed by Zura's defiant stance, responded with a firm and unyielding expression. "I am Dylan, one of the Gold Grade wizards. I have a duty to protect innocent lives and maintain order. Release the boy immediately."

" Do you want it the hard way or the easy way?", Loku asked, from behind with a smirk,

Zura, her impatience evident, sneered at Dylan's insistence. "I have no time to waste with both of you," she retorted, her voice tinged with annoyance. "I have a mission to accomplish. The boy belongs to me now. It is not your place to interfere."

Dylan turned to his companion, Loku, with a determined look. "Loku," he said, his voice filled with purpose. "Let's get this trash out of the way and save the boy. We can't let her continue with her nefarious plans."

Loku, nodding in agreement, stood ready, his own magic gathering at his fingertips. "Agreed. We'll take Zura down and rescue the boy. Nobody messes with innocent lives under our watch."

As Zura attempted to escape with Emrys in tow, her path was abruptly halted as Loku's magic veil enveloped them in a powerful force. Zura struggled against the magical bind, her efforts proving futile against the powerful enchantment's grip.

Meanwhile, Dylan, seeing an opportunity, seized the moment. "Loku, hold her tight!" he commanded, taking advantage of Zura's momentary vulnerability.

As Dylan swiftly manifested a dagger, he swiftly sliced through the dark tow that held Emrys captive, severing the dark magic that bound him. The dark tow dissolved, and Emrys was suddenly freed from Zura's grasp, his heart pounding and fear etched across his face.

Zura watched in frustration and anger as Emrys was cut loose, her plans momentarily thwarted. "You meddling fools!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with rage.

Emrys, tearful and trembling, held securely within Dylan's protective shield, spoke out through his tears. "She...she killed my parents and burned down our house," he managed to say between sobs. "She's an evil doer, a monster."

Dylan, holding Emrys close, his expression hardening. "I'm sorry for what you've gone through, Emrys," he said, his voice filled with empathy. "But we'll make sure that Zura pays for her crimes."

Dylan, seeing the fear and vulnerability in Emrys's eyes, reassured him with a firm yet gentle tone. "Emrys, remain within this shield," he commanded. "It will provide you with safety from any dark forces. My colleague and I will see to it that Zura is apprehended."

Emrys, still shaking with fear but finding solace in Dylan's reassurance, nodded weakly, settling into the protective shield that enveloped him.

Emrys, safely shielded within the magical barrier, could only watch in awe as the intense exchange of power between the wizards and Zura unfolded before his eyes. The speed, the clashes, and the intensity of their confrontation left him utterly stunned. This was his first experience witnessing such a spectacle, and his young mind struggled to comprehend the sheer scale of power being unleashed.

Desperate to seize an advantage, Zura attempted to summon minor dark forces as a distraction, hoping to create an opening to reach Emrys. However, the wizards reacted swiftly and efficiently, effortlessly overpowering the dark forces with their magical force. The distraction proved futile as the wizards swiftly dispatched the minor dark forces, their combined power proving more than a match for Zura's ploy. The wizards' focus remained undeterred, their protective energy barrier surrounding Emrys, shielding him from any potential harm. They were determined to ensure his safety, even in the face of Zura's desperate tactics.

Not missing a beat, Zura seized the opportunity to move towards Emrys, hoping to use the distraction to her advantage. But she found her path obstructed by the wizards, their eyes fixed upon her with unwavering resolve.

Loku, his expression filled with anger and determination, spoke firmly to Zura. "You won't get to him," he stated, his voice resolute. "We won't allow you to take him. Our duty is to protect the innocent, and he'll remain safe under our guard."

Zura, her gaze fixed on Emrys, smiled coldly in response. "You foolish wizards, always getting in the way of my plans," she retorted, her voice dripping with contempt.

Zura, knowing she had reached the brink of desperation, decided to use her last move. She gathered all of her dark energy, unleashing an intense wave of dark powers towards the wizards.

However, the wizards, undeterred and well-equipped, swiftly countered her attack with their own combined power. They effortlessly shielded themselves from the onslaught, their unwavering determination evident.

At that moment, Zura's hope of succeeding in her mission seemed to slip further away. The wizards stood as an immovable barrier between her and Emrys.

Dylan, his expression unyielding, addressed Zura firmly. "We had hoped to capture you, but you seem to be quite stubborn," he said, his voice cool and resolute. "Since you leave us no choice, we will eliminate you."

Zura, her expression hardening in response, scoffed at Dylan's words. "You fools think you can eliminate me so easily?" she growled, her defiance unyielding. "I've faced countless adversaries, and I'll not be defeated by mere wizards."

Dylan turned to Loku, his comrade-in-arms. "Are you ready?" he demanded, his voice steady and determined.

Loku, standing steadfast, met Dylan's gaze. "Ready, partner," he affirmed, his confidence unshakable.

Dylan and Loku, joined together in unity, raised their hands in a focused gesture. Their eyes glowed with a brilliant golden light as they summoned a powerful elimination hole. The swirling energy surged forward, directed towards Zura, who was determined to resist its onslaught.

Zura, her eyes narrowed with determination, fought to overpower the elimination hole. But the combined might of Dylan and Loku's power proved too much for her to counteract. The elimination hole drew closer, its intensity growing stronger with every passing moment.

Zura, her expression desperate and filled with exertion, fought against the overwhelming power of the elimination hole. She strained with all her might, pouring every ounce of her dark energy into trying to overpower it. But despite her efforts, the elimination hole remained steadfast and unyielding.

As the elimination hole steadily drew closer, Zura felt a pang of pain and a sense of defeat. She groaned, her strength wavering as she was slowly engulfed by the hole. In an instant, the hole vanished, taking Zura along with it.

Emrys, having witnessed the intense confrontation between the wizards and Zura, stood stunned, both amazed and overwhelmed at the display of power. The sight of the dark force's elimination left him speechless, his young mind struggling to process the events that had unfolded before him.

He couldn't fathom the sheer magnitude of the power wielded by the wizards and how they had effortlessly vanquished the formidable Zura. The mixture of admiration, awe, and fear washed over him, leaving him in a state of disbelief.

Dylan and Loku, their exhaustion dissipating, shifted back to their normal forms. Exhausted but exhilarated, they exchanged a weary yet victorious grin. With a satisfied sigh, they extended their hands and high-fived each other, their fatigue momentarily forgotten.

"We did it," Loku remarked, fatigue lacing his words. "Another mission accomplished."

Dylan, catching his breath, nodded wearily. "We make a good team," he replied, a hint of pride in his voice,

" I bet Skylar and Joe will be jealous when they find out we successfully created an elimination hole after so much practice", Loku said, panting heavily.

Dylan and Loku, having successfully completed their mission, turned their attention back to Emrys, who remained shielded within the magical barrier. Dylan, recognizing that the immediate threat was now gone, decided to dismantle the shield, which gently disintegrated into thin air, releasing Emrys from its embrace.

Emrys, feeling the shield dissolve around him, took a hesitant step forward, his gaze filled with both trepidation and relief. The ordeal he had just witnessed had left him visibly shaken but some what calmer than before.
