Driving for about an hour at this point from the village, I soon arrived to the outskirts of a forest.
If my math is correct, from here back to the village is about 30 kilometers and if I wanted to head back to the outpost it should be about 50 or so kilometers.
"Quite the distance huh? At least I wouldn"t have to worry about getting pulled over."
Looking at the forest I hesitated to directly enter.
The forest itself was pretty dense with tree growing taller than the other trees I had seen in this world.
There was barely any sunlight shining through the canopy and the dark wood itself makes it look like it's the dark forest from a fairytale that was often warned to never enter.
Not seeing anyway to go through and most likely being lost if I do forced my way in, let alone damage the car or be ambushed by the inhabitants of the forest.
Opening the drone case and preparing the drone that had been recharged over the past few days.
I mounted the FPV goggles on and launched the drone. Ascending into the sky I could see the forest extending into the distance for several more kilometers.
Flying around looking for a way through, I spotted a structure that look out of place from a sea of green.
Approaching closer but still maintaining my distance, I could see it was a massive mansion within the forest.
The mansion here didn't look like the one from vanilla Minecraft but rather more completed in design and a lot prettier and bigger than the cube like mansion in vanilla.
Walking around inside was several pillagers doing various things. Realizing that this was a pillager mansion and was most likely where the pillagers army camed from, I was tempted to raid it.
"This is probably the Illager's Manor from a structures mod. If it's the same to the game, I probably have the entire schematic of it which is really convenient if I wanted to take over it."
Tempted as I was, I held myself back remembering that I had expended most if not all of my ammunition during the last raid and all that's left is 2 magazines for my sidearm intended for self defense.
I could go in with my swords but that would be too exhausting and there was too many pillagers inside.
Flying around a bit more, I soon spotted another structure nearby.
Like the previous Illager's Manor, this one had illagers occupying it too. This time the manor itself was smaller and was simple in shape.
A small cube on top of a big cube, the manor was most definitely the Illager's Mansion reminiscent to the one in game.
It was a lot more detailed than the simplistic design in game but it couldn't compare to the Illager's Manor on the other side.
Making notes of there locations and marked the structures on the map, I recalled the drone.
On the flight back I found, a cleared road heading deep into the forest.
Following it I found that it was leading toward the 2 structures and another cutting through all the way to the other side of the forest.
Finding this relieving, not having to drive through an uncleared path in the future. I packed up the drone and turn the car around heading toward the direction of my outpost.
