Chapter 35 - Enchantments (Day 6)

Heading back to the outpost, there was nothing to do other than to wait until I can open a spatial rift back home again.

I had experienced fishing, played with some of the small mechanics of this world, fought off a massive pillagers raid, tried a little cooking.

Not the usual basic minecraft cooking food on the crafting table but rather a more interactive cooking process from a mod.

Although the food is great, I can't see myself as a full on professional chef in the future. From times to times maybe but not constantly maybe.

Actually now that I think about it, maybe I could travel to Shokugeki no Soma / Food Wars to learn cooking.

Maybe that would motivate me to do more cooking but definitely not as a profession. But it would be a great skill to have to impressing the girls.

Still, unsure of what to do I grabbed a book nearby and began reading it. It was an enchantment book, so the entire texts was written in glyphs.

Initially, I couldn't read it so I had the system translated real-time. Reading the enchantment book, I slowly got my self engrossed into reading the hadn't noticed how much time had pass.

Eventually I came to understand how this enchantment work, it was a protection enchantment book although a low level 1 book.

The enchantment work like writing or programming a code. Start describing how the enchantment would work from the bottom up to the desired effects.

Curious of what a higher level book would look like, I search for higher level protection books from level 2-5.

Spreading the books next to one another, I began reading and had the system assist in recording down the detail for summary and comparison later.

Having finished the entire protection enchantment series. I lost track of time and night had already set in. The pets had already gone to bed themselves and had raided the leftover food when they were hungry.

Deciding that I would spend the entire day reading enchantment books, I know need a good rest for the busy day tomorrow.

(Day 6)

Waking up to the sunrise, I hit the book again. I eventually came to an understanding of how enchantments level work.

Enchantment levels work similar to a quality system. If the code is basic or a bad, its a low level enchantment. Higher level build on that low level code refining and improving upon it.

The next level then repeat the same process upon the previous level and the cycles continues.

Having read the level 5 book, I felt like I could write it in my sleep. The code itself was okay but there was plenty of rooms for improvement to it.

To compare it to an education level, I would say it's comparable to what an junior high student could write.

The enchantment code is pretty much a coding language that leaned more on the loteracy side rather than the mathematical side.

After reading several more enchantments, I became used to what the runes and glyphs represented. It's pretty a change to a letter but the grammar is still the same.

All I needed to remember was matching what glyphs correspond to what alphabet.

I feel with my skill level as a programmer, I could make a level 10 enchantment or potentially a level 255 enchantment which is the max level in the game only available in creative admin control.

I wonder if I could create a level 255 enchantment in minecraft creative and then bring it to the real world. Would that be broken? Yes, let's do it.

The only problem is bringing it from a digital code to reality.

"Looks like I still have a long way to go to be untouchable."
