Chapter 15 - Minecraft Mechanics

After observing the despawn mechanics, wasting almost an hours of daylight.

Having decided to see more of this world and how the mechanics work. I walked to the car and drove to the nearby forest I used to snipe the pillagers from when I first arrived.

Grabbing the axe from the trunk, I approached a nearby tree and cut a wedge into the trunk of the tree.

After a few seconds, the tree fell over and broken up into 8 equal segment each being about a meter block.

"At least I wouldnt have to worry about hitting wood in mid air."

Seeing if I could lift up a block and seeing if I could put it in my inventory. A sudden realization dawn upon me.

"I don't have an inventory."

It's not just the inventory I dont have but also the small 2x2 crafting space that a player would usually get in their inventory menu.

Realizing this could be troublesome to some extent in this world. I soon came up with 2 theories explaining why this could've happened.

My first theory was that this world didn't have any inventory system.

The issue with this theory was, when the villager left this morning. They ask to take some food supplies with them.

On their way out, I didn't spot them carrying any backpack or pull a carriage with supplies on it. They just left on foots, meaning that villager also has an inventory of their own.

The second theory is more technical and that is the world doesn't recognized my existence and view me as an outsider.

Initially all I did was open a spatial rift to this world and didn't write any code to make myself be recognized to it and have all the functions and features a local or a player would have in game.

Making note that when I get back home, I would need to write a program that allows me to be recognized in Minecraft and possibly be adaptable to other worlds.

Remembering that there was a craft table in the outpost. I wanted to see how crafting would work.

Grabbing a few stick on the ground and moving some wood logs into the back, I droved back to get the crafting table.

Just like in the game, the table has a cloth with a 3x3 grid at the center of its' table top.

The crafting table was also a lot more detailed compared to the game with tools hanging on the side and all.

Placing a log on the table, it rumble before it flashed apart into 4 pile of wood plank blocks.

Seeing that the crafting mechanics still work, I placed a bone from one of the skeleton that died this morning.

Like before, it rumbles the bone and flashlight. A small pile white broken shards and chunks appears most likely being bone meal from the game.

Curious, I went outside and tossed the pile onto a patch of grass in the outpost and visually saw the grasses growing from 1 to 2 meters tall.

Breaking those grass, I found some seeds dropped to the ground.

Heading back to make myself a wooden hoe or scythe. I camed back out and tiled the land, with just 3 slashes the spot I was tiling turned into neatly spaced farming tile roughly 1 meter in surface area.

Tossing some seeds own then the bone meal, the seed quickly turn from little green pellet to a half a golden yellow stalks of wheat.

Having fun with crafting, I spent the rest of the day playing around with known crafting recipes from the vanilla game and even ask the system to help with some modded recipe from its' database.

Night soon approached, and this time instead of staying up for a few extra hours, I carry a bed up to the tower and slept on it.

A/N: New auxiliary chapter detailing the guns has been released for anyone interested in what the weapon used look like. A little fun read.
