Konoha, Year 51. The setting sun painted the village of Konoha in a warm, orange hue. The footsteps of ninjas grew more frequent on the stone paths. Having completed their missions, shinobi headed in small groups toward izakayas. The aroma of grilled meat drifted from the shops, mingling with shouts and laughter, making the entire village feel lively and peaceful.
The Hokage Rock was particularly striking in the twilight, with the faces of the four Hokage looking down upon the village. The Fourth Hokage's face was cast in a soft light by the sunset. Although his era had long passed after the Nine-Tails Rampage, with the Third Hokage retaking command, the legend of the "Yellow Flash" was now frozen in time on that rock face.
However, the protagonist of our story was not in the midst of this bustling scene.
The view shifts to a forest on the outskirts of the village.
Sweat dripped from the tips of his golden hair. A three-year-old Naruto, panting for breath, threw a kunai—swoosh!
The cold glint of metal cut through the air, precisely hitting the bullseye on a tree trunk, not off by a single millimeter.
At three years old, an age when most children could barely hold a kunai steady, he could already perform such a precise throw. He wiped the sweat from his forehead, a faint smile playing on his lips.
"Such incredible talent, as expected of the Child of Prophecy... Looks like the original story wasted a lot of time, dei ba you."
His voice was childish, carrying that signature strange verbal tic, yet his tone held an unnatural maturity, as if the body housed not a naive toddler, but someone else entirely.
That's right. Within Naruto's memory existed another life.
In a world called "Blue Star," he was just an ordinary office worker, living a repetitive life until, on his way home from work one day, a runaway truck sent him out of that world in an exceedingly cliché manner.
...What an unoriginal way to get isekai'd.
His memories as an infant were chaotic, like being shrouded in a thick fog. He wasn't even sure if he had "transmigrated" into this world or if the original Naruto had simply "awakened" memories of a past life.
The only thing he could be sure of was that once he gained clear consciousness, the entire plot and all the characters of Naruto were etched into his mind.
What was even stranger was the verbal tic—"dei ba you."
No one had ever taught it to him, yet it came out naturally, as if it were an instinct of this body.
It took Naruto several days to finally accept the reality that he had not only come to the world of Naruto but had also become Naruto Uzumaki, the "Child of Prophecy" from the original story.
The Konoha of today was in a brief period of peace.
Madara Uchiha's body had begun to decay, while his pawn, Obito Uchiha, had already donned his mask and begun plotting the Eye of the Moon Plan from the shadows.
The ninja world's number one "filial son," Black Zetsu, still lurked in the darkness, patiently waiting for the best moment to backstab everyone and revive Kaguya.
In the Hidden Rain Village, Yahiko was already dead, and Nagato had completely fallen into the extremist ideology of "making the world know pain."
Jiraiya was still traveling the world, searching for the so-called "Child of Prophecy" and gathering material for his less-than-reputable novels, unaware that the person he was looking for was currently practicing with shuriken in a Konoha forest.
Tsunade had long since left the village, wandering between gambling dens with Shizune, becoming a legendary sucker, numbing herself with alcohol and dice.
The only recent major event was the exposure of Orochimaru's human experiments. The Third Hokage had personally ordered his pursuit, and one of the former "Legendary Sannin" was now an S-rank rogue ninja of Konoha.
There were still several years before the plot officially began, and even a long time before Naruto would enter the Ninja Academy.
Hmm... I remember the major events clearly, but the details are fuzzy... After finishing the original Naruto, what had drawn his attention back to it was the mobile game adaptation.
Although he knew that his parents in this life, the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, were no longer alive, a sense of melancholy still washed over him whenever he passed the Hokage Rock and saw Minato's statue.
However, having grown up in an orphanage in his previous life, he could handle this level of loneliness. After all, he was already used to living alone. In this life, he at least had a small, free apartment and a living stipend delivered on time every month by the old man Hokage.
Though Naruto still really wanted to ask the old man where his cheap dad's inheritance had gone...
He wasn't oblivious to the cold stares from the adults and the distance from the other children in the village, but he had long since come to terms with it. I'm not money; I can't make everyone like me.
Besides, the Konoha 12 he would get to know later were mostly children from major clans. People like Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata, and that emo kid—their elders knew the truth about the jinchuriki and wouldn't point fingers at him like the ordinary villagers.
Truthfully, Naruto didn't need to work this hard. If he followed the original plot, he could marry the Hyuga heiress, become Hokage, and reach the pinnacle of life... but unfortunately, there was also Boruto.
Naruto had never watched Boruto, but he had seen spoilers while browsing forums—Otsutsuki aliens, Naruto and Sasuke getting nerfed, Scientific Ninja Tools... in short, a whole mess of trouble.
...If I had known I was going to be reincarnated, I would have binged Boruto too!
But it was useless to think about that now. There were still years before the story began. Being idle was boring, so training was better than staring into space. Besides, if he really encountered aliens in the future, he couldn't rely on "Talk-no-Jutsu" to win, could he?
"Alright, let's try this next!"
Naruto took a deep breath, preparing to increase the difficulty. He held several kunai between his fingers, his eyes locked on different targets on the tree trunk ahead. The next second, with a sharp flick of his wrist, the kunai shot through the air, carving several arcs.
Clang! Clang!
The crisp sound of metal striking metal rang out as several kunai collided precisely in mid-air, changing their trajectories at sharp angles. The seemingly random throws were bizarrely redirected after the collisions. Finally—
Thud! Thud! Thud!
All the kunai embedded themselves firmly into the different bullseyes, none missing their mark.
"...Tsk, isn't that a bit too ridiculous?"
Even Naruto himself was a little shocked. He knew this body had good talent, being a descendant of the Fourth Hokage and the Uzumaki clan, but he didn't expect to pull off such a fancy trick with just throwing skills. The original Naruto never had such precise technique. Could it be that being a transmigrator had affected his body's potential?
Could this be the legendary "transmigrator's cheat"?
He scratched his head, and just as he was about to walk over and retrieve his kunai, suddenly—
"That was amazing!"
A soft, clear voice came from the woods, startling Naruto. He turned his head and saw the bushes rustle slightly. A small figure then walked out, looking a bit flustered. It seemed she had let out the exclamation of surprise by accident and was now standing there with a red face, not knowing what to do.
So cute...
That was Naruto's first thought.
It was a little loli. The girl looked to be around his age, with long, smooth black hair that fell to her shoulders, making her skin appear as fair as snow. Her eyes were large, dark, and bright, currently looking at him with a mix of timidity and curiosity. Her delicate features seemed as if they were meticulously carved, and her pink lips were pressed together lightly, giving her an endearing and lovable aura.
Who is this? Was there such a cute side character in the original story?
