Waking up the next day with the sunlight shining through the railing, I got up and gazed out at the morning sun.
Something of interest is the many flaming pillar all around the outpost.
Rather, those flaming pillars or the undead mobs burning under the sunlight just like in the game.
The only mob still standing are the enormous spider and grotesque creeper.
Making my way down the tower to get something to eat and feed the pets. When I came down, the group of rescued villagers approaches me.
"We would like to request to take some food supplies for our journey back to the village."
Agreeing to their request, they headed back to the kitchen to stock up and prepare for the journey. After 30 minutes or so, they left through the main gate and headed northwest.
Heading to the corpses of the mobs last night, I found that the body of the zombie had disappeared and at the area of the creepers was a grayish pile of powder.
"At least, the zombie disappeared, would've been a real hassle if I had to clean the world of mobs corpses everywhere."
As for the spiders, there was a long strain of string or possibly silk roughly a meter in length.
"This could be really useful in making clothing or something."
Remembered having heard about spider's silk being extremely durable almost comparable to steel.
I placed the silk in a containment bag I brought, along with the grayish powder whish is probably gunpowder if the general theme of Minecraft is consistent to the game.
After looking around for about 2 to 3 hours, I saw how the corpses disappeared. Just like how the mobs crawled out of the ground when they spawned, this time the ground opened up again and swallows the killed mobs instead, leaving the "dropped" item.
Only mob that wasn't swallowed by the world was the skeleton with the remains still at the original spot of its death.
Unsure if it take longer to "despawn" or it's permanent.
Curious with the whole despawning thing, I went to the mass grave pit and digged a little trying to see if the pillagers had also despawn.
Lo and behold, they had vanished and the area was only filled with dirts.
After a while, I also saw the skeleton bones and bow being swallowed into the earth. I guess items can also despawn.
'Note to self: don't leave item out of possession for too long for they'll despawn.'
