Chapter 1 - the hatred of God

In a place where nothing existed, where not even light could reach,

a being sat upon a throne and said:

— Hah, I'm bored… how hateful.

The being looked around, trying to find something that could catch his attention. Nothing.

Until he turned his gaze to the human world.

— Well, let's see what these insects have done.

He stretched out his hand and, as if opening a book, he split open the Earth.

He began to "read" humanity's events.

Each page he turned filled him with disgust.

Until something caught his attention: the creation of a manga called Dandadan.

For the first time in ages, the being felt fascination.

Even affection — for its creator, Yukinobu Tatsu.

But as time passed, along with the popularity of Dandadan, came criticism.

Many praised the masterpiece… yet one human in particular, whom the being titled the idiot, always mocked Dandadan.

Until the final straw.

The being killed the human in an idiotic way, while he was with his unfaithful girlfriend.

— Where am I? What happened? — the soul asked, lost in the void.

The being rose from his throne and roared:

— What are you doing here, you idiot?!

The entire void trembled at his voice.

— Hhhhha! Stop! I can't take this anymore! — screamed the soul.

The being smiled, starting to enjoy himself:

— Idiot soul, do you know why you are here?

The soul, desperate, flew toward him:

— No! I don't know! But please, don't kill me!

The being laughed:

— Kill? I don't kill what I've already killed.

The soul fell silent. Didn't cry. Didn't scream. Just silence, which intrigued the being.

— Hm… I thought you would cry or scream. Interesting.

Half an hour passed before the soul finally spoke:

— May I at least know the reason why you killed me?

— Well… — replied the being, bored — I was tired of my vast existence. So I peered into the human world, as you call Earth, and I discovered Dandadan. An amazing anime, an incredible manga.

The soul sighed and muttered:

— I think I get it now… that garbage really did ruin my life. Literally.

The being grew furious.

— Damn you! And here I was thinking of giving you a chance to live again, yet you dare say such filth? Mocking my favorite anime and manga?!

His power surged, surrounding the soul in a field of violet energy.

— Idiot! Do you really not like Dandadan?

— Honestly? No. It makes no sense at all. I prefer Jujutsu Kaisen, it's much better.

— Very well… — the being growled — Now I know exactly where I'll send you. I'll revive you, but you'll never know peace again. I'll throw you into the very anime you despise most. You'll be a useless extra, with no advantages, no destiny… someone who will die within moments. And I'll love it. I'll delight in watching you bleed. I LOVE DANDADAN! AND I HATE YOU!

The void shook as if those words were absolute law.

— Dude… but it's just an anime! Why do you want to do this to me?!

— I already said it twice. Are you deaf?

Meanwhile, in another place…

A radiant realm, filled with fruit-bearing trees and golden light.

A graceful figure observed the scene, curious about why the dark being was so consumed by hatred.

Back to the throne of shadows, the being continued:

— I hate you so much that I turned your life into a living hell on purpose. It was I who made your girlfriend cheat on you. I who made your dog bite you. I who made your parents disown you. I who made your mother tell you she hated you. I even made your girlfriend pregnant with another man's child. Why? I don't know. You just disgust me.

A hand of darkness grabbed the soul:

— I'll send you to this world with no powers, no family, no happiness.

But the graceful one, moved by compassion, decided to act.

He granted the soul a power. The power of Sukuna, the very character the soul admired most.

— You adore such a cruel, evil character… but I hope you use this power for good — said the luminous voice.

The soul, however, heard nothing. Yet the blessing of kindness remained embedded in the power.

Silence followed.

The voice of the dark being vanished.

The soul felt calm, momentarily happy… until sorrow returned, knowing he would live again only as a nothing, a useless existence.

A light shone.

And suddenly, he heard a cry. His own.

A doctor held him in his arms, patting his back lightly until he breathed.

— He's going to be a strong boy. He only cried after the tap — said the doctor, smiling, as he handed him to a woman in tears.

— I know… — she whispered. — He will be the strongest boy. He will protect mommy and daddy.

The father burst into the room, crying.

— He's alive! He's alive! I thought we lost him!

The doctor motioned for silence.

— Calm down, Mr. Takashi. It was risky, but your baby is safe. He will grow strong and healthy.

Then he asked:

— And for the record, what will be his name?

The man and woman looked at each other.

After a brief pause, the father, still in tears, answered:

— We were thinking… Hiroki.
