Chapter 8 - Chapter 5: Murder for Gain

[Gordo~~~ Sean is ours!!! You only fit to roll awayヾノ≧∀≦)o get lost!]

[Sean Sean, noble by birth. The Jilted writes only good reviews for people, at worst, he withholds comments. Only Gordo is mysteriously narcissistic and devilishly sharp-tongued.]

[Quick, switch the camera, let us see wuli Sean, this tiny phone screen can't handle your massive three hundred pounds.]

Gordon Sterling's live streaming routine is being disliked by fans.

On normal days, Gordon would definitely discuss with fans for five minutes and banter for two hours.

But today is special; if he misses out on any spectacular content, he won't forgive himself as the top comedy talk-show guy, let alone his fans.

Gordon moved the camera away from his face and aimed it at the stage.

Artie Vaughn returned to where she had fallen earlier and took out a clear glass bottle from a bag she hadn't picked up since the fall.

A slick square glass bottle with the most primitive cork, not even a label on it.

The bottle contained a caramel-colored transparent liquid.

Leo Vaughn offered his right arm as a "handrail" for Artie, to prevent her from falling again.

As Artie walked, Leo followed closely.

A rare scene of the Nation's Gentleman giving the treatment of an emperor.

"The Devilish Lolita" held the bottle and arrived outside the soundproof glass room where Sean was, using a corkscrew to open the sealed cork.

Artie skillfully poured two glasses of wine, clearly a pro at it, worthy of the title Winters Ambassador.

Of the wine Artie poured, one glass was sent into the soundproof room by a robotic arm to Sean; the other glass was handed to the on-site staff: "Please send this one to the testing machine, but remember to let the wine taster finish the report before starting the machine."

Artie's charisma was so strong that the staff almost spilled the wine in shock.

Prompted another round of laughter mixed with jeering at the scene.

The Devilish Lolita's declaration, from this moment on, entered the execution stage.

Sean, isolated from the world, couldn't hear or see what was happening outside.

This young man exuding artisan vibes did not show a bit of impatience though the video playback system's "malfunction" required a few more minutes of waiting.

He waited silently until the mechanism delivered the third glass of wine to his side.

"For the two wines previously tasted, everyone's able to view the video introduction as the head wine taster writes. As a Winters Ambassador for Winters Spirits, I certainly can't break the rules here, right? Could I trouble the broadcast director to play the video I just sent you through the site director?"

While interacting with the audience, Artie also informed the director that she was ready.

Her voice was already intoxicating, but when she asked for a favor, that tone was simply...

Artie moved to stand under the big screen, ready to begin the introduction.

Sean gracefully picked up the tasting glass handed to him by the robotic arm.

Next, just like the previous two times, he should lightly sniff and then take a small sip.

The big screen began to display the epic scenery of Scotland's Islay.

Dark green pastures chasing the deep blue sea, racing towards a purple sky sprinkled with pink clouds.

It wasn't traditional scenery, but rather an ancient oil painting.

A small segment of people on-site was enchanted by Islay's mesmerizing landscapes, but the majority remained curious about Sean's tasting outcome of this unexpected bottle of wine in the glass room.

Though winery representatives had contemplated disrupting Sean's show, they never had such an opportunity.

Just after one second of expectations, confusion appeared on the faces of many representatives present.

The glass was only lifted halfway, not even reaching the usual sniff height for Sean, and all the wine was poured into the spittoon beside.

Artie's back was to the screen showing Sean's wine tasting.

All the audience were in a God's-eye view except for Artie, boldly claiming to disrupt the event, was unaware of Sean's actions.

Hearing the video soundtrack begin, Artie confidently started her introduction: "Today, the wine I bring you is from the Brunschwig family of Scotland…"

Halfway through a sentence, the seasoned "emergency host" sensed something was off from the astonished and vibrant expressions of the audience on-site.
