Artie Vaughn's first thing after stepping off the stage was to call Summer Fairmont: "Summer, you watched the live stream, right? I'm so sorry, I didn't keep my promise to you. Artie is wrong, Artie is guilty, you really have to forgive Artie, just a little, please." Artie's whining continued.
"Alright." Summer Fairmont wouldn't say a word more before finishing two bottles of Whiskey.
Artie's best whiny target was definitely Summer Fairmont.
The one person in the world who could best endure Artie's "world-ending" whining was none other than Summer Fairmont.
Summer Fairmont's life motto was to drink the strongest liquor and live the coolest life.
As a whining insulator, Summer Fairmont and Artie are complete opposites.
She has a cold personality, and from birth until now, the true friends who have entered Summer Fairmont's heart can be counted on one hand - she's really a girl colder than the moon.
Smiling is something completely unnecessary for the the unapproachable and straightforward Summer Fairmont.
Even when The Devilish Lolita whines, her brother Leo Vaughn can only immediately surrender.
But with Summer Fairmont, it's just a regular way of communication.
You can keep whining, and I'll just keep being cool.
The Pouting Siren could only fully unleash her coquettish side when with Summer Fairmont.
"Summer, how can you forgive Artie so easily?"
The tone clearly protested against Summer Fairmont forgiving without asking for a reason.
"I take it back." Summer Fairmont, despite speaking coolly, habitually went along with Artie.
"If you don't forgive me, Artie will be so sad she could die!" Artie said while suddenly starting to bring a crying tone.
"Half forgiven, half taken back." Summer Fairmont offered a brand new solution.
"Yesterday I was still bragging to you about being the leading Wine Winters Ambassador of a top domestic spirits group, and how I'd make waves as soon as I returned to Winters Spirits. Is it still time to confess to you now?" Artie's eyes were starting to redden.
"It's still time." Brief and to the point. That's very Summer Fairmont.
"Summer, my role as Wine Winters Ambassador was just a fake position arranged by my brother to make me happy. I actually can't help you at all. I'm so sorry, it seems like Artie has deceived you..." As Artie's voice trembled, she just cried.
Those four words "murderous deception" were beyond The Devilish Lolita's endurance.
Just now at the celebration site, she was too angry to care about the grievance, but with Summer Fairmont on the phone, her emotions completely came out.
Not considering Artie's devilish figure, her lolita face held two lines of angelic tears, making one feel sympathetic.
Since it wasn't a video call, Summer Fairmont couldn't see Artie's tears.
"Crying?" Not seeing didn't mean not feeling.
"Yes, Artie feels really sorry."
"Put it away."
"I...I'll try, can I? Can you give Artie a minute?"
"Lie, all you want. Cry, don't." In Summer Fairmont's world, being deceived by Artie wasn't a big deal at all. Lying was allowed, but crying was not.
Artie's mind is as simple as her face.
If she could learn to deceive, that would mean she's grown up.
"Can Artie really deceive Summer?" The Devilish Lolita whining was like a vision of a three-year-old child's language.
"Sure." In Summer Fairmont's world - whether you deceive me or not is your freedom, just like I have the freedom to choose to be deceived or not.
"Just a little deception, deceive Summer, deceiving you is like deceiving myself." Artie sang as she finished the sentence and then resumed her primary job of whining: "Artie's super easy to soothe, right? As soon as you coax her, she stops crying."
The Devilish Lolita kept her word, and as the minute passed, she stopped crying.
The thing Summer Fairmont couldn't stand the most was Artie crying in front of her.
Why cry for things that can be solved by whining?
Aren't tears salty?
Isn't buying salt expensive?
Does getting deceived mean losing a chunk of flesh?
"Deceive for wealth? Deceive for beauty?" Summer Fairmont returned to the main topic.
"Can I want both?"
"As long as you want, I'll give you." Summer Fairmont almost never jokes, except for when a girl with a lolita face and devilish figure needs her soothing.
"Oh, you're so flirty, Summer. How will I ever find a boyfriend if you're like this?" Artie glared with her powerful, big eyes, both fierce and adorable.
"I'll take care of you." Summer Fairmont, always brief and to the point.
