Prologue — Super Prisoner: The Devil Box
The Devil Box was never meant to fail.
Each of its layers was a world, shaped with precision. Criminals awoke as farmers, miners, healers, soldiers—roles designed to wear away their past and teach them balance. When their term was done, the Box released them, reformed and free.
But when Kagiruchi Daichi was cast inside, the system faltered.
Sentences stretched into infinity.
Release gates froze shut.
Worlds buckled into hazards.
And at the heart of it all stood Kagiruchi—marked as a prisoner, yet convicted of no crime.
Something stirred in him, something not even he understood: a relentless will to leave, to climb higher no matter the cost.
Then it appeared.
A presence.
A voice woven into the Box itself.
[Architect's Hand Activated]
"Prisoner recognized. Protocol unlocked."
It called itself a guide. It whispered rules, missions, marked paths, and bent the broken world around him. Whether it was salvation or another prison, Kagiruchi could not know.
All he knew was this: to escape, he must ascend. From one twisted layer to the next, up through endless worlds of punishment and false lives, until he reached the summit where truth itself waited.
Not chosen. Not forgiven. Not bound.
Only a prisoner who refused to remain caged.
And with the Architect's Hand as his weapon, Kagiruchi would climb the Devil Box no matter what.
