There's a heaviness I've been carrying lately not always visible, but always there. Like a storm cloud hovering low, refusing to let light break through. I don't remember the exact moment things started to spiral, but lately, life has felt like a series of betrayals some from others, and painfully, some from myself.
I've been broke. Not just financially, but emotionally too. The kind of broke where your soul feels like it's limping. It's not about money alone it's the emptiness that lingers when you're giving all of yourself and getting nothing in return. It's watching people you cared for walk away, or worse, stay and drain you. It's the weight of expectations, failed plans, and days that blur into one long sigh.
Relationships have felt like war zones where I go in with open arms and leave with wounds I didn't see coming. I've trusted people who saw my heart and still chose to break it. I offered love and got lessons instead. Lessons I never asked for. Lessons I never deserved. And yet here I am, learning to accept them, even when they burn.
