The sun shone brightly in Monaco, the track was packed with spectators, cheers rose and fell, the whole scene was incredibly lively. Tony Stark, Dominic, and Blonsky's race cars were lined up side by side at the starting line, ready for the upcoming race.
Tony's race car was as cool as ever, the shiny red and gold color scheme was particularly dazzling under the sun, and there were some prominent Stark Industries logos on the body. Blonsky, on the other hand, chose a classic black sports car, which looked low-key and steady, with a hint of coldness. And Dominic—he was driving a race car modified to be impossible to ignore, with a black streamlined body plus some strange design details, as if mixing sci-fi and wild styles, making it clear at first glance that this was an unconventional choice.
Standing before the race, Tony wore his signature arrogant smile and looked at his two competitors beside him, "Oh, looks like someone's going to get a taste of having their life questioned by Stark Industries products today. Honestly, Dominic, is that weird car of yours here for laughs? Should I remind you this is a race track, not a tech exhibition?"
Dominic leaned lazily against his car door, his eyes full of cynical amusement, a dismissive smile playing on his lips, "Oh, Tony, don't be so full of yourself. No matter how shiny your broken-down car is, it can't hide that brain of yours that needs to be coaxed to work. Seriously, if your car was half as fast as my brain, you wouldn't be constantly trying to sell yourself." He finished by deliberately stretching, as if completely unstressed about the upcoming race.
Blonsky heard the two bickering through his headset and couldn't help but chuckle softly. He adjusted his headset and cut in, "You two can keep arguing, anyway, I'll be the one who wins in the end. While you're having your war of words, I'm already ready to crush you on the track." His tone was steady, yet carried an undeniable coldness, as if he had already foreseen his advantage in the race.
Tony pursed his lips and turned to Blonsky, saying, "Oh, really? Are you planning to race for speed on the straightaway this time, or are you going to use those dirty military tricks to get around the turns?" After speaking, Tony turned his gaze back to Dominic, a challenging glint in his eyes, "Seriously, buddy, your car looks like it's modified from an alien spaceship. If you plan to beat me with that piece of junk, you might as well give up early. When you lose, I'll buy you a drink to help you forget this nightmare."
Dominic smiled slightly, his eyes filled with mockery, his voice lazy but meaningful, "Hmm, Tony, I guess you should be grateful Pepper isn't here yet, otherwise she'd definitely be embarrassed by your current off-the-charts confidence. By the way, she's here, aren't you going to stand up and put on a good show, lest she suspects you rely on your mouth to win even on the race track?"
Tony froze for a moment, then shrugged disdainfully, "Ha, Dominic, you're really too naive. So what if Pepper's here? She knows every screw on this car of mine is more reliable than your mouth. Just wait and see, I'll make sure you see my taillights on the very first lap."
The race was about to begin. The three men got into their cockpits, gripping the steering wheels tightly. The engines began to roar, the red lights in front of the cars went out one by one, and the air was filled with tension. The spectators held their breath, waiting for the sound of the gun.
"Race start!" With the sound of a whistle, the three race cars shot out like arrows from a bow.
Tony's car rapidly accelerated on the straightaway, its engine roaring loud and powerful, quickly taking the lead. Dominic's car followed closely, and although its appearance was strange, it showed astonishing speed and flexibility on the track. Blonsky, on the other hand, remained exceptionally calm, maintaining a sense of composure even under the pressure from the two competitors.
Tony continued to provoke through his headset: "The speed's not bad, but you guys will only get to see the back of my car."
Dominic's voice immediately followed, still carrying that understated teasing tone: "Oh, don't get too happy too soon, Tony. I haven't really stepped on the gas yet. When I catch up to you, let's see if you'll keep talking tough." He rounded the turns effortlessly, his control flawless, as if he were just enjoying a leisurely activity.
Blonsky continued to maintain a steady pace, saying lightly, "You two keep arguing, I'll slowly enjoy the moment I overtake you both."
The competition on the track intensified, the three race cars constantly weaved through the winding Monaco circuit, their speed increasing, the roar of the engines mixed with the cheers of the spectators, forming a symphony of speed and passion.
On the track, the three race cars were speeding at astonishing speed. Suddenly, a blinding flash of electrical light erupted at the other end of the track, the iron fence was instantly shattered into pieces, and metal fragments scattered everywhere. A figure wearing strange armor and holding electric whips slowly emerged from the electrical light. His whip cords constantly flickered with electricity, dancing in his hands like two venomous snakes, full of menace.
Tony Stark was originally speeding on the track when he suddenly saw the iron fence ahead of the track being torn apart, and a masked man standing directly in front, the electric whips in his hands flashing with blue light. Tony's eyes widened, he wrenched the steering wheel, and the race car spun out of control, rolling and crashing into the trackside barrier, sending up thick black smoke.
Seeing this scene, Dominic's expression instantly turned serious, a hint of coldness flashing in his eyes. He ordered through his headset: "Blonsky, go check on Tony, make sure he's alright."
Blonsky didn't hesitate for a moment, letting out a roar. He directly tore off his seatbelt, and the entire car door was instantly ripped off. His body rapidly expanded, transforming into Abomination, his size suddenly increasing, and the race car's driver's seat exploded. He ran towards Tony's race car like a fierce Beast, his giant footsteps making heavy thuds on the track. Abomination forcefully tore open the smoking car door and lifted Tony out of the seat.
Meanwhile, Dominic had flown in front of the man holding the electric whips, looking down at him with disdain and mockery in his eyes. The cape on his back flapped in the wind, like an emperor descending from the sky. He narrowed his eyes slightly, wearing his usual contemptuous smile, looking down at Ivan Vanko before him.
"Wow, look who it is?" Dominic scoffed with a laugh, "Suddenly there's someone doing fancy electric whip tricks on the track, are you here to perform in a circus? But I don't really like it, it's too old-fashioned." He deliberately adopted a lazy posture, his tone full of mockery.
Ivan Vanko raised his head, his gaze coldly fixed on Dominic, a cruel sneer on his face. The whip cords in his hands flickered with dazzling blue light, emitting a piercing buzzing sound as they swayed gently. His voice was low and cold, with a heavy Russian accent: "Ah... Dominic, I know you. I've seen everything about you, and I've heard your name. But today, you'd better not get in my way. This is a feud between me and Tony Stark, if you interfere, you'll die together."
Hearing this, Dominic laughed even harder, his eyes full of contemptuous mockery. He looked down at Ivan from above, as if looking at an overestimating insect, his tone carrying a cold sneer: "Oh, really? Your personal feud with Tony? How touching, I'm almost moved to tears by your deep-seated desire for revenge." He paused deliberately here, smiling provocatively, "But you got one thing wrong, there's no personal feud here, only what I say goes. If you want to die, you can keep playing with that broken whip, but don't expect to be arrogant in front of me for much longer."
Ivan wasn't intimidated; instead, he grinned, his smile full of intense mockery and hatred, a crazy glint in his eyes: "You think you're very powerful, invincible, right? I knew you'd think that, which is why I'm waiting for you here. Once I deal with Tony Stark, you're next!"
Dominic scoffed and slowly raised a finger, wiggling it gently in the air, "Uh, uh, uh, don't be in such a hurry, little electrician. You really should figure out who you are. Even if you want to be some big villain's savior, you have to think about the consequences first." His voice was low and mocking, his tone carrying a sense of cold control, "You think those two lightning sticks of yours can threaten me? Please, I thought Russians were better at making practical things."
Ivan's eyes grew colder, and the whip cords in his hands trembled continuously with his agitated emotions, emitting a piercing electrical sound. He fiercely swung the whips, the electrical light cutting an arc through the air and striking towards Dominic. At the same time, he roared, "You will pay for your arrogance, Dominic! I will show you what true pain is!"
The moment Ivan attacked, Dominic slightly shifted his body, and the electric whips grazed past him. He barely moved, his actions as casual as watching a child throw toys. He lowered his head and looked at Ivan, a cold smile on his lips: "Oh, it seems you really don't understand. Then I'll personally teach you a lesson, to make you understand—provoking me is a huge mistake."
Before he finished speaking, Dominic's eyes suddenly glowed blood-red, shooting out a blinding laser beam directly towards Ivan. Ivan quickly swung his whip cords to block it, but the powerful energy made him stumble back a few steps instantly, sparks flying from his feet.
"Very good, young man," Dominic said unhurriedly, his voice as cold as a whisper from hell, "Now you've successfully piqued my interest. Let's see how long you can last."
