Chapter 1 - Lioran

Lioran is 15-year-old boy with supernatural powers, whose hobby is hunting monsters . Today, like always, Lioran used his Transformation technique and entered a forest alone—a forest where many adventurers would usually gather and form teams to hunt monsters and make money.

Lioran was standing on a tree when he saw several orcs who had fought with a pack of wolves and killed them. When Lioran saw the two-headed orc, the leader of the orcs whom he had been after for a long time, a devilish smile appeared on his lips.

He leapt high into the air toward the orcs and, in the blink of an eye, swiftly decapitated two of the orcs standing to the left of the two-headed one. Then he lifted his head and, staring at the two-headed orc with eyes full of malice and a wicked grin, said:

"I found you."

The two-headed orc froze for a moment in shock at the sight. When he looked at the severed heads of his men, he roared:

"You bastard! Kill him!"

The remaining four orcs charged at Lioran. With a cold look, Lioran raised his hand and said:

"Fireball!"

From his hand, a massive blaze burst out toward the orcs. When the flames subsided, the two-headed orc, seeing the charred corpses of his men, gripped four swords with his four hands, and both of his heads shouted:

"Damn it! Weren't you a swordsman? How are you using magic?! That's impossible!"

Lioran replied:

"Someone who's about to die doesn't need to know the answer."

The two-headed orc asked in disbelief:

"You understand me? How do you know the language of monsters? Aren't you human?"

Again, Lioran said:

"I told you, someone who's about to die doesn't need to understand anything."

The orc, enraged, bellowed:

"When I cut off your arms and legs, I'll ask again. Only your tongue needs to stay intact!"

With that, he leapt and swung all four swords at Lioran. Lioran raised his sword, and the four blades clashed against his. The two-headed orc glared at him and said:

"No matter how strong you are, you still have one weakness—you're human!"

He pushed with all four swords, trying to force Lioran back, but realized Lioran showed no struggle in withstanding his power. In fact, the one struggling was himself. In panic, he muttered:

"Damn it! What trick are you using again?!"

Lioran smirked and said:

"Don't think that just because you've got four arms, you're stronger than my Iron Body skill."

The orc's temper snapped, and he raised his swords again to strike. But Lioran said:

"Idiots who lose their temper fast always die fast too!"

He activated his sword skill, "Dancing Blade," and in the blink of an eye, severed all four of the orc's arms and appeared behind him. The orc let out a scream so loud that the birds in the trees scattered into the sky.

A moment later, while his arms were beginning to regenerate, he turned to Lioran and groaned:

"I think… you don't know… anything about me. No matter how many times you cut off my limbs, they'll just grow back!"

He then activated his "Madness" skill. His eyes turned crimson, and a red aura flared around him. He said:

"With this skill, all of my powers double for five minutes! Get ready—I'll show you pain and despair—"

But before he could finish, Lioran burst into laughter. A wicked laugh, like a wolf that had trapped its prey. He said:

"You think I couldn't have cut off your heads from the start instead of your arms? You've slain countless humans and monsters, and that's why you radiate such a dreadful aura… But now, I'll show you the true meaning of dying in despair and torment!"

The two-headed orc thought to himself:

"What is this feeling? I've never felt this before… why won't my arms and legs move?"

He looked down and saw his legs trembling. Then he glanced at his severed arms and thought:

"I have to hurry. Before these five minutes end, I need to grab my swords and kill this lunatic."

The orc threw himself toward his swords and burst out laughing:

"Idiot! You wasted your chance! Now I've got my swords again!"

Lioran calmly slid his sword back into its sheath and said:

"I told you, I want to show you despair. Come at me with everything you've got."

The orc, enraged, leapt at Lioran with all his might. But lioran didn't move. The orc poured all his strength into his blades and aimed for Lioran's head, screaming:

"Die! Die! The price of arrogance is death! Die!"

But suddenly he realized his swords wouldn't move. Looking closely, he saw that Lioran was holding all four swords with just one hand. The orc screamed:

"Impossible! Damn you! What the hell are you?!"

Lioran looked at him with a devilish grin and said:

"I told you I'd show you pain and despair. Did you forget so soon? And I'll make your skills also mine."

The orc thought:

"This unpleasant feeling… so it's fear. All those people I killed—they must have felt the same. To fight this madman is like striking a towering mountain with your sword.

I should have run from the start. I shouldn't have let pride blind me."

He dropped his swords and thought:

"I have to escape. I can't beat this monster! I must get away, now!"

He bolted away from Lioran.

But Lioran drew his blade again, activated " Dancing Foot Technique," and dashed after him.

"Look behind you! I've already caught up!"

The orc looked over his shoulder and saw Lioran right behind him. He shrieked and swung his fist, but in a blink, Lioran severed his arms and legs once more.

"Where are you going? I'm not done with you yet."

The orc wailed in agony. His limbs started to regrow, but Lioran cut them off again. The orc screamed:

"Please, stop! Kill me! Cut off my heads! I don't want to feel this pain anymore!"

Lioran placed his blade against the orc's ear and said:

"I don't think you're listening. I told you—you must die in despair, in pain, and in suffering. This is only the beginning."

He sliced off the ear.

An hour passed. The two-headed orc had fainted from sheer agony, but Lioran kept cutting off his arms, legs, ears, mouth, and eyes. At last, the orc's regenerative ability reached its limit and ceased. Lioran said:

"Seems like two-headed orcs can only use their regeneration to this extent. Not bad."

He then severed both heads of the orc and, using his Copy Ability, acquired the Regeneration skill and the Madness skill . Lioran said to himself:

"Well… at least I got regeneration."

After copying the skills of the two-headed orc, Lioran asked the mysterious ability he had named Anahita:

"Check my new skills and see which ones are compatible. Combine them and create a new ability."

Anahita replied:

"You can combine the Madness skill, with the Dancing Sword skill, to obtain a new ability called Demonic Mad Swordsmanship. This swordsmanship once belonged to a man known as the Mad Demon, who single-handedly killed more than a thousand men in one battle. This ability increases your power by 20% and grants you a crimson, bloodlike aura. Anyone weaker than you will be overcome with fear upon seeing this aura. Moreover, if someone dares to look directly into your eyes, They will imagine themselves drowning in an ocean of blood, overwhelmed by fear and despair, without being able to move a single step.Do you wish to merge the skills?"

Lioran answered with satisfaction:

"Yes."

Anahita then fused the skills together and created the ability Demonic Mad Swordsmanship.

When Lioran was six years old, he first realized that Anahita resided within his body. At that time, he also discovered several other skills hidden inside him: Copy, Absorption, and Identification.

When he asked Anahita:

"What are you?"

She replied:

"I am a spirit that has been added to your body. I understand everything about magic and can do anything."

That was why Lioran named her Anahita, meaning the Goddess of Wisdom.

With the Copy skill, Lioran could replicate the abilities of others — one of the rarest powers. By killing people, drinking their blood, or making physical contact for five minutes, he could copy their skills.

With the Absorption skill, he could absorb attacks or magical energy equal to or lower than his own circle.

With the Identification skill, he could see what powers others possessed.

Lioran knew very well that it was impossible for him to gain such abilities by chance. That was why he often asked Anahita:

"Who gave me these skills?"

But Anahita always answered:

"Answer inaccessible."

Eventually, Lioran gave up and said:

"Forget it. What matters is that I make the best use of these abilities."

From then on, Lioran began copying the skills of others, and slaying monsters . He kept adding his magical circles and improving his swordsmanship. Now, he possesses six magical circles, is at the fifth star of swordsmanship, and has gathered more than ten different skills within himself.
