Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Very First Entry

51ST DAY OF 45TH MONTH, YEAR 657800

AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION

I'm too lazy to write about my current whereabouts as the information of that location's name is too long to write in my journal. I'm Rogen Durend, a mercenary and member of Rusty Sword Mercenary Guilds. I undertook a job about retrieving a certain item that is located to, (deep breath) Anendorkanamantoptergerndestonporghulionomonfagtarin Cave (panting) or just simply called Long Name Cave. Ugh, I prefer that moniker than its real name. The item in question is a relic that was rumored to allow the user to open a gate that lead to a realm of uncertainty and endless darkness. Something that the client must have the hands to at all cost. The client that posted it, is the Kingdom of Thrandalg to be precise, the king himself. Amongst all members that are qualified to undertake the job, the Guild Master choose to assign it to, me. Great. This is big deal but for what, this is dangerous. The Guild Master issued the journal to me along with the details of my job. And so I packed my things up, and began to undertake it upon arriving to the location.

The Guild required us members to keep track of the events as we undertake jobs and also by the deities' sake, it should at least include anything personal. The Guild Master sometimes is way too nosy to peek at the private lives of its members.

Though that is quiet annoying to some members, it still have a reason with a purpose. That is, to provide information and to shed light on what was transpired before a member mercenary perished on job.
