Suddenly
He started hearing voices.
"Brother! Wake up!" A feminine young voice rang in his ears.
Followed by another one.
"Don't worry about him, he'll wake up soon." A hint of worry accompanied his mumbling.
"I hope so, brother..."
Only footsteps followed their dialogue.
"Just forget about me. I won't be of any help to you."
His attention switched back to his dying sibling.
"You're right, but I'll never forget you. I'll always remember you." Aiden mumbled.
His sibling glanced at him one last time before his eyes drifted into the clouds.
"I guess, this is where your journey ends. I hope you'll live happily in your next life.
Aiden smiled through the pain of watching his brother die once again.
Unable to do anything to stop it.
He was hopeless; he was just another pawn to the system.
"I'll become the master of this world, I'll squash down every single person that dares to come in my way, remember this, brother."
He muttered under his breath, tears rolling down his cheeks.
The memory began to break, like pieces of glass.
Every single memory he has experienced till now is in front of him.
He searches for the moment when he started living this cursed life.
"Where is that damn memory again?" He grumbled.

"Oh… I guess I won't be able to experience it once again.
[26 Second(s) Remaining]
But then, something shimmered in the corner of his eye.
It was another memory, a recent one..
When he woke up in this world.
He floats towards it, curiosity filling him.
"Why is this one glowing?"
He touched it.
As reality shifted around him, each memory he touched felt like his insides were being crushed.
"Fuck… I hate this. My insides feel like they're being crushed."
Everything played out just as usual, nothing amiss.
Until he saw that person.
The one that disappeared right when Aiden noticed him.
He floated around the room, looking for a way out, until he realized. "I am just a ghost here, so I can do everything I want!"
He tried touching the wall, but his hand went straight past it.
"I knew it!"
His other hand clipped past the wall, followed by his entire body.
He looks at his surroundings.
It was a beautiful sight from such a high vantage point.
"No time for this, I must find out his identity! Wait, where was he again?"
Then, a person below caught his attention.
He was jumping on buildings.
As if he were some kind of ninja.
Floating closer, curiosity filled him.
His hair was black.
A hint of crimson aura was leaking out from his body.
[12 Second(s) Remaining]
"Fuck… I completely forgot about that!" He thought to himself, sweat dripping down his forehead.
Suddenly.
That same man pulled out a black mask.
He put on a black mask that left only his eyes visible.
[9 Seconds Remaining]
"Wait, is that the same guy?" Aiden said, bewildered by the scene unfolding in front of him.
Then he realised that the guy was staring straight at where Aiden was.
"So my theory was right, I knew that he hadn't died." He let out that single sentence before disappearing into thin air.
[2 Second(s) Remaining]
"Wait… What did he mean by that?" His curiosity filled the air around him.
[1 Second(s) Remaining]
"I need answers!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.
But no one answered him.
After all, he was just a ghost here.

Then it happened.
A swirling light enveloped him as the air flew around him, forming a tornado.
Reality is shifting to take him somewhere else.

-The Preparations Have Been Finished-
He started getting pulled somewhere, flying at the speed of light.
His skin was getting burned off with the sheer pressure of flying at that.
He felt as if he was getting burned alive.
"Wha- This hurts!" He screamed in pain.
Then suddenly.
Light appeared in front of him.
He flew straight into it.
Merging with it.
"Hello?… Your highness? Are you awake?" A male voice brought him back to reality.
Aiden opened his eyes.
He was back in his fancy room.
A hand touching his forehead.
"Ah, you're awake! Congratulations!" There was a hint of excitement and happiness in his voice.
He held needles between his fingers.
Aiden pushed himself upright.
Naive to the fact that sharp needles covered his entire body.
They started falling off him one by one.
"Huh, what is this sharp pain. Wait?! Am I covered in needles?!" He mumbled to himself.
"Ah, no, don't do that, you'll hurt yourself, you are still recovering."
"What is the meaning of this? I never asked for something like this!" Aiden grumbled while glaring at the man in front of him.
"Well, I had no choice, your father, his majesty, ordered me to do this." He muttered, his voice filled with confidence.
"Father? I have no father, he died long ago when I was just a kid!" Aiden shouted while holding the man's collar. Anger was shown all over his face.
"Pardon? Your memory isn't serving you well, it seems." The man mumbled, smacking Aiden's hand off his collar.
He then stood up.
"I've finished my job here, please excuse me."
Aiden was flabbergasted by the man's actions.
The man walked up to the door and turned back one more time.
"Oh, one last thing. Don't forget to take your medicine beside you."
"Medicine, what medicine?" Aiden questioned the man, but by then, he was long gone.
