No one was there, as if he was talking to the air itself.
Tightening his knuckles. He said. "I didn't expect him to disappear that fast."
He walked out of his room. Everyone was dead.
Knights lying on the ground. Some of them are missing half of their bodies.
The instructor's sacrifice led him to turn into ash.
Aiden twitched, but he was still resolute. "No one asked him to sacrifice himself. Although it did kill that creature over there."
A charred skeleton was all that was left of him. But, surprisingly enough, his robes are still intact, and not a single scratch is on them. "This might go well with that armor I've gotten."
Without hesitation, he picks it up from the floor. A strange purple aura came out of them.
The previous owner's lifeforce is within them.
Aiden smirked, his lips forming a wide smile. "Even better. I won't refuse a gift, especially from someone as strong as him.
He wears it, equipping it over his already existing armor.
And without wasting any more time, he walks toward the throne room.
He opened the two huge doors shielding it.
Inside, there was something he didn't expect.
Those two brats were hugging their injured father.
Green aura surged within the king.
In front of him were 2 of those same creatures.

Aiden reached for his sword, unsheathing it. "I won't stand back and watch innocent people die once again."
His eyes glowed golden, followed by his red aura enveloping his sword "Sulbrand"
In a flash, he appears in front of the creature, swinging at it.
The Sulbrand was inches away from reaching the figure's neck.
But it managed to dodge safely.
Countering with its grotesque tentacles.
"What do you have here? A brave insect-"
The creature's tentacles twitched as they were cut one by one.
Aiden's red aura managed to overpower the tendrils. "This insect here will kill you in a mere second! Maybe not a second." His lips twitched into a satisfied smirk.
The creature's brows furrowed, black aura surging out of its tentacles.
Without missing a beat, the tendrils lunged at Aiden.
But he managed to cut them all one by one.
The king behind him was in shock. "What… When did he get that strong-"
He coughs up blood. Mainly due to the injuries he sustained while defending his shaking children.
"Brother! I knew you wouldn't leave us." The girl shouted; her pupils dilated as she watched Aiden fight.
Aiden turned back to meet the annoying sibling's eye.
But that was a grave mistake.
A second figure's tentacle slammed him into the wall, followed by piercing his leg.
"Grave mistake, you fool!" The creature muttered, his black aura growing by the second.
It moves in to deal the final blow.
"You're dead!"
The tentacle was mere centimeters from connecting with Aiden's body.
Suddenly.
A golden aura surged within him.
It erupted out of his body. Forming a shiny ring that stretched over all his body.
His red aura filled out the injury in his leg.
Standing up, he muttered. "You thought you'd kill me with that weak attack?"
He lunged at the creature. Cutting every tentacle that dared to come close to him.
"If I had known that your kind was this weak, I would've stepped in and helped that uncle! Although that specific creature he fought was unique compared to all of you!"
Finally, his sword pierced the enemy.
"Checkmate…" Aiden smiled, his face screaming victory.
Red aura came out of his sword, flowing straight into the figure's body.
Swelling it up.
Red aura came out of its eyes, as well as its nose and ears.
Instantly.
The creature exploded, leaving nothing but his bones.
The other figures trembled at the sight before them.
"How… You were struggling against us just moments ago!" The creature's body shook with fear.
"Behind you."
The second enemy's head fell off its shoulders.
Behind it was the king holding his sword.
"This bastard, he almost eliminated the whole royal family." He shouted, stabbing its body repeatedly.
"Relax, you already killed it. Aside from that, you're scaring the young ones." Aiden mumbled, a hint of sarcasm coming out of him.
"Young ones?! I'm not a child anymore." A rebellious young voice rang through the chamber.
"He's right, we aren't supposed to see something like that." The young girl muttered under her breath, trembling slightly.
"Hey, hey, calm down, the fight is over, there's nothing to worry about," Aiden mumbled, flashing a big smile.
"You think so?" The king, his father, replied to his comment.
"Of course not, I'm just comforting the kids," Aiden whispered in the king's ears.
"I knew it! You're lying to us!" The rebellious voice repeated, unshaken.
"Huh? How did you even hear me from back there?" Aiden questioned his little brother, his smile shifting into a confused look.
"Joke's on you, I was lying just to test you! And you failed!" The brother shouted, a victorious smile shaping his lips.
"Wha- God damn it. Anyways, we should check on the servants and their well-being. After all, they are still one of us.
"You're right, I'll check on them right away." The king muttered.
