"Hey, wake up or we're going to leave you here." A voice came from the door, followed by knocks.
Aiden woke up dazed, still half asleep. "Huh, what is happening?"
Suddenly.
His door blew apart, splinters flying everywhere, and it fell just next to his bed. Inches away from his
"This is your last warning," Ryker said, anger visible from his expression.
Aiden was still flabbergasted by his favorite door, which had been scattered into pieces. "Huh, huh? Why did you break my precious door?"
Thaddeus walked up to him, he flung the blanket off, and put Aiden on his shoulder. "You don't know how much time we sacrificed because of you."
"Wait, what, put me down!" Aiden tried to rebel against his grip, but he couldn't due to Thaddeus's overwhelming strength.
Elara, worried about Aiden's well-being, said. "Is it really okay for you to be holding him like that?"
"Don't worry, I've carried many hundreds of people like this, I know what I'm doing," he said confidently.
Elara replied. "If you say so."
The scene switches to them exiting the underground base.
Thaddeus puts Aiden down. "Now I'm putting you down."
"About time, I was starting to think about how I'll get rid of you," Aiden grumbled, a sinister grin visible on his face.
"What?" Thaddeus said worriedly
"Anyways, today's mission is to investigate a small village, where suspicious activity was reported. A sighting of strange creatures, able to manifest multiple tentacles on their back, was sighted there."
"Tentacles on their back? That sounds creepy." Selwyn said nervously.
"Don't worry, we will protect you!" Elara said with confidence in her voice.
Ryker, annoyed by his companion's behavior, said. "Enough talking, let's move, we've got a long way ahead of us."
"Yes, sir!" Aiden replied with a smile on his face.
1 hour of walking later.
"This is nothing for my great legs!" Thaddeus said.
2 hours later.
"This is too long.", Aiden grumbled.
3 hours later.
"I'm starting to tire out," Selwyn mumbled.
5 hours later.
"How much more time do we have to spend walking! I seriously think I'm about fain–"
Ryker shushes her down with his finger. "Shhh, don't you see that light in the distance?"
Elara, with a surprised look on her face, said. "Oh wow, we arrived faster than I thought."
Aiden hesitated; something didn't feel right.
"Every time I got this feeling, I died." He mumbled under his breath.
"What did you say?" Thaddeus said, with an expectant look on his face.
"Oh, nothing, I was just talking to myself," Aiden said, with a hint of hesitation in his voice.
They arrived at the gates, 2 heavily armored knights guarding them.
"We do not accept wanderers. Please turn back." The knights grumbled, clutching the hilt of their swords.
"Calm down, a friend of mine lives here." But that was a complete lie spouted by Ryker, just to fool the guards.
"A friend? Don't joke with me. No one here has ever left this village. We are born here, and we die here. Either protecting our village from foolish invaders like you, or from natural causes. So this is your last chance, turn back or face death itself." Guard #1 said, with confidence in his tone.
"I apologize, but if you don't let us pass, then I'm afraid that I have to kill you once and for all," Ryker said, unsheathing his brilliant sword.
Seeing the enemy pointing his sword at them, they did the same. "How impudent, you think you can defeat us, you've made a grave mistake!"
They both charged at Ryker with a thrust, but Ryker just stood there.
Suddenly.
Cling!
Elara and Thaddeus intercepted their weapons with their swords.
Selwyn flew into the air. White particles were floating behind her.
Preparing to launch a spell at them, she clamped her hands together, but she didn't get to finish it.
The knight has teleported behind her, striking her with his leg, leaving a fatal wound on her.
"You thought we'd let you finish your spell?"
"Annoying."
Ryker charged at the knight who dared to put his hand on his comrade.
A crimson aura manifests around his body.
It slowly moved towards the sword.
He thrusted at him.
But the knight managed to dodge by an inch.
Not letting him catch his breath.
Aiden charged at him.

He delivered a powerful roundhouse kick to the chest.
It landed.
But the opponent didn't even flinch.
With a small step to the front.
He turned around.
Landing an elbow straight to Aiden's face.
"Ugh!" He grunted, fighting through the pain.
Grabbing his sword, he unsheathed it.
He tried to remember the instructor's teachings.
His words echoed in his head. "Thrust, slash, stab, impale."
He thrusted towards him.
But he missed. Giving the enemy a chance to strike, but he was intercepted by Thaddeus's hand.
He threw a punch straight at the knight's face.
"You've got some big hands there, too bad you won't be able to use them anymore."
Black aura manifested in the knight's blade.
He pointed it at Aiden.
Ignoring the towering Thaddeus blocking his way.
He took a swordsmanship stance.
Aura flows following his hands.
In an instant, he is already inches away from Aiden. Not even Thaddeus could've reacted in time.
