Chapter 34 - Crazy Love

Ronan was settled in his office, his eyebrows furrowed, his eyes fixed on the pen holder.

"Ronan, don't you remember me?" Shael's voice was cutting his chest like knives.

He heard a soft knock and looked up. It was Sorrell.

"President, you have to depart to Cortage for the next collaborative project the next morning. It might take a month or two to complete, as I informed you before," Sorrell placed the opened file in front of Ronan.

Ronan closed it without looking. Yeah, it's becoming too much, I should step away, or I might go crazy. Ronan let out a deep breath.

"Make the arrangements, I will leave tomorrow," Ronan instructed.

Sorrell walked out and saw Raven standing outside. Raven noticed new bruises on Sorrell's hand as he held the file near his chest. Raven followed Sorrell to his office.

"Do you have any..." Sorrell was yet to complete his sentence.

"Did he beat you again because you talked to him about what I said?" Raven clutched his fists.

"Mr. Raven, if you keep this up, I will report you." Sorrell's face was expressionless.

Raven bit his lips, closing distance between them, to which Sorrell stepped back. "I am warning you, I don't like you getting hurt. If Aramin keeps hurting you, I will... I will kill him. So you better leave him, or he should stop hurting you," Raven inhaled deeply. "I am trying my best to cope with the fact that you live with him. Don't challenge my patience."

Raven sensed the soothing scent of tuberose and his eyelids dilated. "Has he entered heat?" Raven thought and remembered Sorrell taking some tablets in the morning.

He turned around to go through his things at the table.

"What do you think you are doing?" Sorrell yelled, but he didn't stop and opened the drawer.

He picked up an inhibitor tablet box. He turned to Sorrell. "Why are you taking inhibitors?"

"What has this to do with you?"

Raven walked closer to him, looking straight into his eyes. "Would you talk if I hurt your damn Alpha?"

Sorrell flinched before replying, "Cause I am in heat."

"I know that," Raven snapped. "Why would you take tablets when you are practically living with your Alpha?"

Sorrell didn't want to reply, but he was intimidated by Raven's aura, the aura he never even sensed from top tier Alpha Ronan. "Cause he doesn't... want to... help me with heat," Sorrell paused several times before completing his sentence and looked down in embarrassment.

"Well, that's not bad to me," Raven's eye color changed. "At least he wouldn't touch you." Raven walked out as Sorrell's tuberose scent was making him excited.

Sorrell settled at his seat, placing his elbow on the table. "How does he know everything?" Then he remembered his eyes changing color. "Wait, did I see it wrong? His eye color clearly changed from black to violet blue."

Sorrell's eyes dilated. "He lied for job requirements? He is a prime Alpha !"

At night, when they got off work, they followed Ronan to his car. Ronan turned around before settling in. "Sorrell, accompany Raven to Mishal Hotel. Talk things out with Waller."

Waller was an actor in Sparkle Entertainment. Earlier, Raven reported to him that he was not taking the lead role that he agreed to do and wanted to change the conditions of the contract.

Sorrell remembered that he hadn't taken medicine cause he thought he was heading home now. "Sure, President."

Raven was driving the car while Sorrell was settled in the passenger seat. They stayed silent throughout the way to the hotel. They finally entered the hotel, Sorrell following Raven closely. Raven took the keys from the front desk and walked to the room.

"Why is he taking the keys?" Sorrell thought and sprinted to get closer to Raven, "Why did you take the keys? Are you staying here tonight?"

They reached the room, and before replying to him, he grabbed Sorrell's hand and dragged him inside the room that he opened with the key.

Sorrell snapped out of his grip. "You lied about the meeting?"

"Let me help you," Raven said.

Before Sorrell could say something, he sensed the strong scent of pheromones thickening the atmosphere. Sorrell's body reacted to the pheromones abruptly as he felt dizzy.

"You are not a __ Beta. You lied to get the job?" Sorrell couldn't speak, stumbling back, and Raven quickly held him in his arms. "Don't touch me __ I hate __ liars the most."

Sorrell tried to get himself out of Raven's grip, but he couldn't budge as his body got too frail. He was getting high on Raven's pheromones.

Raven slipped his hand around Sorrell's waist, pulling him closer. As he closed the distance between their faces, his lips approached Sorrell's.

"Stop," Sorrell placed his hand on Raven's lips. "Don't you dare touch me." But his body was responding otherwise as he pulled himself closer to Raven's chest, his breath fastening.
