Chapter 11 - Delay In Marking Omega

The car slowed down and then stopped in front of the apartment complex. It seemed like Ronan didn't want to let Shael go, but he had to.

He came out of the car following Shael.

"You don't have to come out," Shael said.

"It's okay, I just wanted to see you going home," Ronan traced Shael's features.

"Good night then," Shael was about to turn around, but Ronan's question held him back.

"Are you still taking inhibitors?"

"Yeah, I am. But I am doing better, don't worry."

"You know they are not good for you, right," Ronan looked down, "I just... What I meant is...?"

"You don't have to explain, I understand," Shael came closer to look into his eyes. "I just need more time, until I am ready to give up on my idealism." He took a step back. "So please wait until then."

"Don't worry, I can wait for you until you are ready," Ronan said, and Shael smiled before walking away.

[Wait until he is ready? You are delaying the task! You need to complete your task as quickly as possible.]

"As you can see, he is opening up slowly to me. All I need to do is just wait a little more before he gives in," Ronan replied in his head while looking at Shael walking into the elevator. The elevator door closed, and Ronan took a deep sigh before turning around.

[You already seem to be emotionally immersed. Are you in love with the Protagonist Shael!]

"I told you I am going to love him for real, and I think it's already getting out of hand. You tell me, if a person is this good, then who wouldn't fall in love? Not to mention he is so gorgeous," Ronan started the car and drove away.

[Please keep in mind, emotionally getting involved might be a cause of troubles later on.]

"But he deserves better. I don't want to be a jerk who destroys someone just because I'm supposed to."

System 8586 [.....?]

Ronan sprawled onto his bed after taking a shower. He picked up his phone and texted Shael.

"Where is the picture you were supposed to send me?"

"Don't tell me you're already sleeping."

Shael was looking at Caelen's profile, trying to analyse what happened today. Ronan's message appeared on the screen above.

He clicked open the chat, "But we just met!"

"I still want to see you, moreover you promised to send me one."

Shael stood up and took a picture of himself in a white nightgown.

"You look seductive," Ronan said, hiding his overwhelming emotions. I want to crawl onto you and hold you tight so that you won't be able to get away from me.

"What am I thinking?" Ronan threw his phone away. He took a deep breath, gulped, and picked up his phone again.

Shael had already unsent the picture. His message read, "Don't get horny, you might end up sleeping with strangers."

"Are you sure about that? Because I'm pretty sure I will show up at your place in the middle of the night."

Shael's heart skipped a beat. Just then, he received a voice message.

"Good night," Ronan said in a hushed voice, playing around trying to sound sexy.

But that spurred Shael's Pheromones. He closed his cell phone and took some oral inhibitors.

Ronan was adjusting his tie before heading out when his phone buzzed in his suit's pocket. He took it out.

"I'm going to Cinnabar Peak for a shoot. It's an overnight stay, and it's near my parents place, so don't worry. Just thought I should let you know."

A message from Shael read.

"Good luck," Ronan texted back.

Shael had to take a two hour trip to reach the shooting site. Everything was set as if they were waiting for him. He was taken to the scene setting as soon as he arrived.

"Fix his makeup quickly and let's start filming," the director instructed.

Shael settled down on a chair, and the makeup artist started to fix his makeup according to the scene requirements.

"The setting is weird. Am I the first one to film the scenes?" Shael asked her.

"Don't worry, the director would have thought it through," she said, her voice nonchalant.

"There aren't many cameras either!"

She glanced around before turning back to him. "Might not be needed."

"Okay, let's get into position." Everyone moved along at the director's instructions. "Shael, you brought the knife, right?"

"Yes, director," Shael replied, taking out a knife from his bag and walking back to his position.

In front of him, Samuel his co-actor who was an Alpha, was standing.

The director walked towards them, "So you stab him at his vital point." The director pressed near the kidney of Samuel. He grabbed Shael's hand and placed it on Samuel's belly. "Right here, okay? Don't forget, let's wrap this scene in one go."

The director walked back. "Okay everyone, get ready, stand by." Shael tightened his grip on the knife. "Action!"

"I would rather kill you than let someone else steal you from me," Shael said in an evil yet emotional tone and brought out the knife that he was holding behind his back.

"What are you doing?" Samuel stumbled back.

Without waiting further, Shael stabbed Lingxin with all his might near the kidney.

"Ugh!" Samuel's pupils dilated, he grunted involuntarily. Everyone seemed impressed by his acting until someone screamed, "He is bleeding."

Props for bleeding effects were to be used in the next scene, then how come he was bleeding already?

Samuel's lips trembled as he placed his hand on the injury, taking shallow breaths, and plopped down.

Everyone panicked and ran towards him.

Shael quickly glanced at the knife that was covered in blood. He threw away the bloody knife. His hands trembled and he gasped for air. Everyone looked at him with questioning eyes while others took Samuel away.
