Just as everyone was immersed in sorrow, a new entry appeared in the video diary.
[As everyone knows, in Marvel, Ancient One died because the special effects were too expensive, Tony Stark died because his salary was too high, and Quicksilver… died because the copyright negotiations fell through. (dog head emoji)
But Quicksilver's death was a bit too hasty. Seriously, which other speedster is as ridiculous as you?
Don't even mention the Flash next door. He can run back twenty years to see his mother—can you do that?
He can even reset the entire universe—can you?
Here's a hellish joke: When the Flash's mom was killed by Reverse-Flash, the whole house outside was filled with Barry Allens wanting to save her. So here's an elementary math question: How many Flashes were outside when Reverse-Flash killed his mom?
(Pure hellish joke)
But even if you can't compare to the Flash saving 530,000 people in a city under a nuclear explosion, compared to Quicksilver next door from the X-Men, you're still far behind. No wonder when Wanda and Vision returned, it was that Quicksilver next door, not you. Don't you want to reflect on yourself?
Have you improved at all over the years? Stop blaming copyright issues; it's hard for everyone, okay?]
A paragraph full of Lin Feng-style sarcasm appeared in the diary. Everyone watching felt a bit numb—the amount of information was overwhelming.
"Tony, your ridiculous death duo just got one more member," Natasha teased.
Tony Stark was speechless. Lin Feng had repeatedly joked that he died because his salary was too high. It annoyed him. He tried his best, alright?
It's always easy to blame him for being too expensive. Have you thought about whether you've improved profitability over the years? Sometimes you have to look at yourself—if your movie company can't afford him, that's your fault.
The Ancient One was similarly mocked by Lin Feng, and now Quicksilver had joined the list, dying in an absurd way—due to failed copyright negotiations, according to Lin Feng.
Could anything be more ridiculous?
Still, Tony was used to Lin Feng's teasing.
What really caught his attention was the Flash.
The speedster from the neighboring universe, compared to Quicksilver.
Tony thought he understood speedsters: just run faster than normal, with a slight visible trace, like blue light. The fastest speedsters left some visual trails.
Or so he thought—even comparing to Lin Feng, it was like running 100 meters in one second. That was the speedster threshold—more or less.
But now, reality told him otherwise. What he thought was "more or less" was vastly different. According to Lin Feng's description… is this a normal human?
Saving a city under a nuclear explosion—this is normal? No, normal beings can't do that.
Even Thor, as a god, couldn't possibly achieve it.
"J.A.R.V.I.S., calculate: to rescue everyone in a city at the moment of a nuclear explosion and bring them to safety, what minimum speed is required?" Tony asked.
Even with his genius-level brain, this massive calculation was headache-inducing.
Thankfully, he had J.A.R.V.I.S., and this purely mathematical problem was solvable.
"The speed would definitely far exceed the speed of light," J.A.R.V.I.S. replied.
"Considering he can carry two people at a time, traverse tens of miles away from the blast zone, and rescue them almost instantaneously, rough estimates put his speed at 2×10²⁰ meters per second, or 9.99 trillion times the speed of light…"
Everyone was stunned. To be precise, the room fell completely silent.
The numbers were so massive their brains nearly overloaded. Even their CPUs would spark from the strain. Just thinking about it felt like their minds were burning up.
"Can someone explain what this actually means?" Steve Rogers asked the stunned crowd.
Looking at these numbers was absurd, but what kind of speed are we talking about? They had no concept.
Tony took a deep breath:
"Let me put it in cosmic scale. The diameter of the Milky Way is about 100,000–120,000 light-years. Light would take 100,000–120,000 years to cross it. With the Flash's speed, he could cross the galaxy in 0.4 seconds—less than a blink."
Now everyone could roughly grasp the concept… more or less.
"Places that light takes 100,000 years to reach, he crosses in less than half a second? Less than one second?"
"Hitting this level between speedsters is insane. Lin Feng said he ran 100 meters in one second, which qualifies as a speedster, but this Flash can cross the entire Milky Way in under a second…" Hawkeye said, shocked.
Honestly, even now, he felt his brain was insufficient. His mind was scrambled by these massive calculations.
"But compared to Quicksilver, the gap is huge. Calling him the 'shame of speedsters' seems justified," Hill added.
Everyone nodded. Previously, they thought Lin Feng was being too harsh, but now it seemed reasonable.
Of course, if Quicksilver is the shame of speedsters, Lin Feng himself is too. His powers surpass mere super-speed; it's only one aspect of his abilities.
"But could a human body even withstand that speed?" Bruce Banner asked. "Forget ordinary humans—if Hulk ran that fast, friction alone would destroy every cell in his body instantly."
"No known material could travel at such speed, not even metal," Tony said. "So likely it's not physical endurance. It's probably magic, divine power, or some other supernatural ability. If unsure, call it magic—it prevents my brain from exploding."
Tony realized continuing to read Lin Feng's diary would eventually blow his mind.
Previously, Quicksilver and Lin Feng's speed had some self-consistent logic.
But now… what the hell!
Running at 9.99 trillion times the speed of light? This was bullying tech-based minds!
He wanted to flip the table… but no, better not, silently put it back.
Without a doubt, the Flash's existence created a massive cognitive bug, almost blowing his mind.
If Lin Feng hadn't written it, he wouldn't have believed it.
But since it was Lin Feng, he had no choice but to accept it.
He found a mental "patch": when in doubt, call it magic.
Anything inexplicable? Magic. This saved his brain from exploding.
After all, magical side has plenty of absurdities: reversing time, or Thanos, the Dark Dimension lord. Science can't explain them.
"Makes sense. That's more reasonable," Nick Fury nodded, pretending to understand.
But inside, he was fuming. What terrifying monster is this? If such a being exists, one collision could destroy the Earth instantly.
Forget Earth—if the Sun, holding 99% of the Solar System's mass, collided at that speed, it would instantly shatter.
At extreme speeds, if your body doesn't collapse, you're effectively invincible.
"Is this even possible, Father?" Thor asked Odin in Asgard's palace.
"Of course not…" Odin replied, a little exasperated. "I've seen many strong beings in the universe. Speedsters exist, but none can do this."
Odin had extensive experience—he could see through the universe's extremes.
He knew speedsters, and while rare, they exist in the universe. Many can reach speedster thresholds with extreme physical ability—like Lin Feng.
But running at such terrifying speed? He'd never seen it.
Instinctively, he refused to believe such absurd speed existed.
Yet the information came from Lin Feng. If Lin Feng says it, you must believe it.
No matter how absurd the diary, it should be trusted.
"This… doesn't mean there is someone like this, right?" Thor asked timidly.
