Ivy's POV
"You can absolutely do both," I insisted, shaking my head at Nancy's concern. "My father's pack might not have many female warriors now, but that's going to change. You'll be setting a precedent, not becoming an anomaly. And being a warrior doesn't mean sacrificing a personal life or children."
"I understand that in theory," Nancy replied, her eyes downcast as she stared at her half-eaten meal. "But I don't want to be forced into choosing one day."
"A worthy mate—a truly good match—would never make you choose," I said gently, giving her hand a reassuring pat before finishing the last bite of my steak. "The Goddess designs our mates as our perfect complements. Your mate will understand your warrior spirit and support your ambitions rather than stifle them."
"You really believe that?" Hope flickered in her eyes as she looked up at me.
"With all my heart," I confirmed, rising from my seat to grab another steak. My hunger felt bottomless today.
