Ivy's POV
"Pup?" Thorne's voice sliced through the air like a blade of ice as his eyes fixed on my face. "What happened to your face? Who did that to you?"
"You did," I replied, feeling the throbbing pain as my face swelled. Blood trickled from both my eye and nose, warm and sticky against my skin.
"What?" Confusion flashed across his features, and he shook his head vigorously. "What's happening?"
"I'd also like to know what the hell is happening. Why was your dad attacking you because of Kathrine?" Grant collapsed into a chair as I released my grip on my father.
I touched my tender face, wiping away blood. "I came to see my dad about something—I can't even remember what now—but I heard him talking to someone. Then I heard him asking what she was doing, and she said 'bonding.' Something inside me just screamed in warning. I kicked in the door and saw her pouring some liquid into his mouth. I tackled her and attacked."
