Ivy's POV
After an exhausting training session, I made my way back to the pack house and headed straight for my father's office. As I approached, voices drifted through the door. I stopped outside, leaning against the wall to wait for his meeting to finish. My ears perked up when I caught my name in their conversation.
"Are you really allowing Ivy to run our pack?" a sickeningly sweet voice asked, the nasally tone instantly recognizable.
"Our pack?" My father's voice sounded uncharacteristically confused, almost dazed.
"Yes, darling. Our pack. You promised to make me luna at the next full moon, don't you remember?"
"I did?" My father sounded lost, which set alarm bells ringing in my head.
"Kathrine, what are you doing?" My father's question came out angry but strangely weak, as if he was fighting against something.
"Bonding with you," she replied softly.
