Luna's POV
The black potion burned Luna's tongue like liquid fire.
She dropped the goblet, gasping and clutching her throat as the terrible taste spread through her mouth. But instead of the relief she expected to feel, panic shot through her heart.
"Luna!" Sage's voice cut through the throne room as her best friend crashed into the nobles surrounding the throne. "Don't swallow it! You've been cursed!"
"Cursed?" Luna spat out as much of the potion as she could, her mind suddenly spinning with confusion.
"The nobles put shadow magic on you and Sunny!" Sage shouted, dodging Lord Starweaver's attempt to grab her. "Your feelings are real! The curse made you doubt each other!"
Luna felt something shift inside her chest, like ice cracking under warm sunlight. The angry thoughts about Sunny that had been filling her head for days suddenly felt foreign and wrong.
"That's impossible," Queen Celeste said, but her voice shook with uncertainty.
