Chapter 23 - The Big-Hearted Gwen, the Big Horn!

Tony just smiled and shook his head before changing direction and flying away. From the sky, he could see that the guy in the red and silver suit could easily handle those thugs. He couldn't be bothered with that kind of trouble.

"Tell me. Where is that bastard Wilson Fisk?" Cassius grabbed a thug with a tear tattoo on his face by the collar and slammed him against a car window. The man's face was pressed against the glass, and he wailed in pain from the brute force.

"I don't know what you're talking about! Let go! It hurts, it hurts!" The thug gritted his teeth and groaned at Cassius. Even though he knew where Wilson Fisk was, he would be a dead man if he told him. Wilson Fisk was the king of the underworld, and just thinking about him was enough to know the stakes.

"Sigh, wouldn't it be easier to just tell me?" Cassius sighed helplessly. His eyes suddenly turned menacing, and he lifted the man and slammed him onto the hood of the car.

Hiss! The thug curled up like a shrimp, his body trembling uncontrollably. With just that one hit, he felt like his insides were shattered.

"H... ho..." He breathed raggedly, his face already covered in the blood vessels that burst from the pain.

"Still being stubborn? That's fine, I have time." Cassius looked at the man with a calm expression, completely unfazed. He had no sympathy for a thug like this, especially since he had done a lot of harm to others. He could tell by the tattoos on his face that this man had killed at least three people. Before the thug could speak, Cassius grabbed his hand and squeezed.

CRUNCH!

"AAAHHHH!!! I'll talk! I'll talk!" The thug was losing his mind. He couldn't understand how such a terrifying person had appeared here! And his methods were far more brutal than he could have ever imagined. He truly felt that if he didn't talk, he would die.

"See? Wasn't that easier?" Cassius asked, his voice full of impatience. This thug was completely wasting his time.

"Wilson Fisk is at an abandoned FBI warehouse in the suburbs. He... he has an important deal there today," the thug wailed, spilling all the information he had.

"Good, you've been very cooperative!" Cassius smirked, then raised his hand and slammed it into the thug's chin. The thug's eyes rolled back, and he passed out instantly.

He could have gotten the information from the thug much more easily. With the Phoenix Force, he could have just mind-controlled the man to tell him everything he knew. But he wanted to test out Kabuto's abilities, so he had just resorted to a more physical approach.

"So, how long are you going to stay up there?" Cassius stretched his shoulders and casually turned around to face the five-story building in front of him.

BOOM!

The white figure leaped and did a backflip in the air before landing gracefully on the ground.

"How did you find me?" Gwen asked, surprised. She hadn't been there for long, and her movements were light; she shouldn't have been discovered. Besides, her stealth abilities were strong, yet this person hadn't even looked at her and still knew exactly where she was.

"Maybe I'm just sensitive to sound, Ms. Spider," Cassius chuckled softly, taking a good look at Gwen. "By the way, Ms. Spider, what were you spying on?"

"I wasn't spying! I was gathering intelligence!" Gwen said, awkwardly kicking a stone with her right foot. "Hey, Unicorn, if you're going to find Wilson Fisk, can I join you?"

"Why are you calling me Unicorn?" Cassius asked, confused.

"Don't you have a big horn on your head?" Gwen said, pointing at the large horn.

"It's a rhinoceros beetle," Cassius leaned against the car and asked lazily, "Aren't you afraid I'm a bad guy?" This girl was so naive. After just one meeting, she wanted to team up with him.

"Anyone who's an enemy of Wilson Fisk is a friend." Gwen's voice was firm and resolute.

"You have a grudge against Wilson Fisk?" Cassius was surprised. He didn't expect the Spider-person of this universe to have a grudge against Wilson Fisk.

"He..."

"So, are you going or not?" Gwen looked like she wanted to say more but ultimately didn't.

"Sure." Cassius didn't ask any more questions. He could tell from the sadness in her voice. He also guessed that even if he didn't go, Gwen would still go on her own.

In a head-on fight, Gwen probably wouldn't be able to defeat Wilson Fisk. If he remembered correctly, Wilson Fisk's strength could overpower Spider-people in a direct confrontation.

He went over to his motorcycle and sat on it with a smooth backward motion.

"Ms. Spider, get on!" Cassius waved to Gwen.

"No, I..." Gwen shook her head, about to refuse, when Cassius said, "There aren't many tall buildings here, are you sure you can keep up with me?"

Hearing that, Gwen looked around Hell's Kitchen... He was right. It was a fool's errand to try and swing around using webs here. After a moment of hesitation, she got on Cassius's motorcycle.

.....

In the suburbs, outside a forested, abandoned factory.

The large factory was faintly lit by a yellow light. From the outside, it looked like a lumberyard. Even in the dim light, they could vaguely see many people patrolling the area, all of them armed.

"Shh..." Cassius stopped the motorcycle far away and put a finger to his lips, gesturing to Gwen to be quiet. With a swipe of his right hand over the motorcycle, a cyan snake-like symbol appeared on the back of his hand, and the motorcycle disappeared from the spot.

"Where's the motorcycle?! It was just here!" Gwen's eyes were about to pop out of her head. The motorcycle was just in front of her! And most importantly, she hadn't felt any fluctuation of power. Who is this guy?!

"What, are you curious?" Cassius asked, turning his head to look at Gwen.

"Of course," Gwen nodded seriously. If she had this ability, her combat strength would increase by more than one level.

"I can teach you later if you want to learn." Cassius wanted to ruffle her cute head but resisted the urge.

"Teach me later?" Even though Cassius was wearing a helmet and his voice was different from his normal voice, sounding a little muffled, Gwen felt like she had heard that phrase before.

"I think I've heard that somewhere before?"
