There was no emotion in the Ancient One's eyes; Mordo seemed to be just a passerby in her life. The recent scene had no lasting consequences on Kamar-Taj. After all, Mordo had brought this upon himself. The poor man probably didn't realize that in countless futures, the Ancient One had seen herself needing a successor. But in the most accurate of her deductions, Mordo was the one who would try to kill her successor. His death was ultimately meaningless. For an old sorcerer who had lived for so many years, life itself was insignificant.
"I killed your disciple, and you have no reaction?" Aaron asked, slowly descending from the sky with a hint of mockery in his voice.
The Ancient One shook her head lightly. "It was his own choice. He only followed his own thoughts."
"Haha! Interesting! Magician, you are a funny person!"
She is ruthless and patient, worthy of being the planet's guardian.
"Come on, let's go to the back mountain of Kamar-Taj. There's a forbidden area there, which contains part of the Earth's seal. With it, Dormammu shouldn't be able to get through."
Without even looking in the direction where Mordo's body had vanished, the Ancient One turned and walked toward a specific location. Aaron smiled. Mordo's death was a bit of a pity, but at this moment, he wasn't yet an evil person, though his body still reeked of rot. The moment Mordo attacked him, Aaron knew the man must have stolen a spell from the Book of Cagliostro while the Ancient One was away, all while pretending to be an obedient disciple.
Finally, they arrived at the forbidden area, located in the center of Kamar-Taj and some distance from the main library. The so-called back mountain was actually inside this restricted zone. Not only was the main seal of Kamar-Taj housed here, but so were the Book of Vishanti, which symbolized white magic, and the Book of Cagliostro, which symbolized dark magic.
"No wonder Kamar-Taj is a holy place for magicians all over the world, with so many books."
Aaron looked around, observing the surrounding environment. As expected of the Sorcerer Supreme's residence, countless magical circles were depicted everywhere. If he had just woken up, he probably wouldn't have been able to break in.
"Everything is ready."
The Ancient One led Aaron into a closed space, where a strange magical circle had been carved on the ground with blood. The circle itself radiated a raw, bloody aura that normal people couldn't bear. But the Ancient One and Aaron were not normal.
"Mr. Aaron, I'm going to start summoning Dormammu." The Ancient One glanced back at him. Aaron nodded slightly, his expression indifferent.
"Let's begin..."
As she spoke, wisps of dark energy flowed from the Ancient One's body into the magical circle. On the Book of Cagliostro, which radiated dark energy, was the name of a Mephisto who existed beyond time: Dormammu, the master of endless dark energy and the true king of his own world.
The Ancient One began to chant the spell to summon him. The ancient incantation was surprisingly pleasant to Aaron's ears, making him wonder why he hadn't created something so compelling himself. But as the chant continued, an extremely evil aura instantly appeared in his perception.
"Ancient One!!!"
The gap between dimensions was torn open! A massive, corrupt, and wicked dark energy seeped out from the crack. A terrifying roar came from within.
"You stupid human who steals dark energy to maintain your broken body! How dare you summon a great being like me!"
But the Ancient One showed no fear of the demon. In her wise eyes was a desire for dark energy, but also a fierce resistance to the eternal life and power it offered. As the crack grew wider, a skinny claw began to force its way through the dimensional barrier, trying to enter the world.
"Dormammu, I'm not here to negotiate with you this time..."
The Ancient One's voice was icy. Aaron slowly stepped forward, his eyes full of "goodwill" as he stared at the dark energy trying to break through and invade Earth.
"Oh?" Dormammu clearly hadn't registered what was happening. At that moment, under Aaron's gesture, a red mark, similar to a coordinate, became faintly visible on the Ancient One's forehead.
"You actually! Opened the dimensional gate! Hahahaha, Ancient One! You're finally willing to open the gate! Don't worry, once I devour this plane, you will become my most loyal servant!"
But just then, the bald woman radiated an energy fluctuation that was incomprehensible to others. The magical robe behind her billowed from the powerful breath.
"No, Dormammu. It's not me who wants to see you this time, and I will not allow you to devour this planet..."
The Ancient One smiled faintly, staring at the dark energy in front of her. Countless tendrils of dark energy were trying to pass through the dimensional space, but at that exact moment, an older, colder aura emerged from within Dormammu's perception.
"Oh? You are the master of the Dark Dimension, Dormammu??"
A terrifying pressure suddenly descended over all of Kamar-Taj, infiltrating the Ancient One's barrier, piercing through the sanctum's defenses, and soaring into the sky.
Dormammu was shocked.
"Who is it!! Come out!!!"
