The shadows infiltrated the gallery and began to spread out. However, the place seemed to have a strange atmosphere.
"Anderson, why is it so cold in here?" whispered Colonel Needham, the leader of the five-person infiltration team. He couldn't find any paintings on the walls. According to our intel, the gallery owner hasn't left the city, and the furnishings are exactly the same as when we scouted the place. What's going on?
Slap! A crisp sound echoed through the room, and Colonel Needham was startled. He drew his pistol and aimed it forward.
"Who's there!"
A figure slowly approached him, but there was no response. Needham fired immediately.
Boom!!!
The gunshot was loud, but the figure didn't fall. It only got closer.
"If you don't stop, I'll get serious!" Colonel Needham was shocked. He was no ordinary person, a veteran of military operations who had been recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. This mission came directly from a high-ranking official.
"Colonel Needham?" A familiar voice called out, belonging to one of his team members.
"Charles? Is that you?" Needham's expression relaxed slightly. But just as he was about to stand up, a cold sweat broke out on his forehead.
Something's wrong!
He had just fired his gun. He heard the bullet, but how could Charles be standing right in front of him?
"Colonel, what's wrong with you?" The closer the voice came, the more frightened he became. Needham wasn't an idiot; he was a devout Christian. He knew this wasn't normal.
"It's the devil! The devil!" The greatest enemy of God was upon him! Needham quickly pulled out a cross from his pocket, a gift from his mother who had it blessed with holy water. It was supposed to ward off evil.
"It's me, Colonel, I'm Charles!"
"Yes, Colonel, and me!" another voice chimed in.
"No! No! Charles! Anderson! It's not you! It's not you!"
Something in the darkness finally revealed itself to Needham. A figure in pitch-black armor with a pair of demonic wings. In front of him, Charles and Anderson knelt motionless.
"NO! NO! NO! Who are you!!!"
How can there be a devil in this gallery? Needham stared at the figure in horror, his left hand trembling. He pulled the trigger again.
Click! Click! Click!!
His gun was jammed!
"Charles..."
"A Texan, born in 1982, who slaughtered 32 people two years ago. An unforgivable crime. You will go to hell!"
"Anderson, from San Francisco. A former street gang member. Sent to hell for killing his brother and covering it up."
The figure solidified and stood before Needham.
"Your aura smells so bad!"
Boom!!!
Finally, his gun fired, but the bullet had no effect on the devil.
"And you dare to trespass into Lord Hades' domain? This is the greatest of evils! You will go to hell!"
A pitch-black light emanated from the figure. This otherworldly power instantly made the intruders feel true majesty. Endless darkness enveloped the entire gallery, and the satellite feed was lost in an instant.
"Stone Bamboo Prison!!"
With that shout, Needham's figure completely vanished.
"Anyone who dares to invade the realm of Hades will go to hell!" As the figure said this, a more powerful aura slowly descended from the sky.
"Lunie, I didn't expect you to have awakened, too..." Aaron walked in slowly from outside, just in time to see Needham trapped in the Stone Bamboo Prison. His eyebrows furrowed for a moment, then relaxed.
"These little bugs are a nuisance..."
"Master Hades, allow me to handle this for you."
Aaron shook his head. "As my true body was damaged, the 108 demon stars also lost their purpose," he said softly. "Lunie, I have a task for you."
Hearing this, Heavenly Eagle Star Lunie immediately knelt on one knee. "Master Hades, please give your command!"
Aaron's figure flickered and reappeared on the rooftop. "After the Holy War, my true body was damaged, and I had to manifest in this world as a human. The 108 demon stars will awaken with my arrival."
With that, Aaron looked down at Lunie, a dark energy covering his body.
"Go, do what you must. Guide the remaining demon stars back to me!"
