Pierce's expression changed instantly. His face, once rosy, became deathly pale—even whiter than Aaron's own malnourished complexion.
He's exposed...
Pierce's face twisted into an ugly grimace as he saw what was drawn on the white paper: HYDRA. The paper had fallen directly into the hands of Barton and Natasha Romanoff, two of the few S.H.I.E.L.D. agents loyal to Fury. If they learned his identity, Fury would surely investigate thoroughly based on this clue.
Just then, Aaron began walking down from the sky, one step at a time.
"Pierce, a high-level official of HYDRA is hidden in S.H.I.E.L.D. Tell me, am I right?" Aaron's figure landed between Pierce and the others.
"What do you want to do?" Pierce demanded.
"Nothing... I just want you to go to hell."
Damn it! The bastard! The plan failed! There's no other way! I must kill this person now! I can't believe there are so many innocent people present. Even a devil wouldn't dare kill innocent people in front of so many witnesses!
"Attention everyone! This man is a murderer S.H.I.E.L.D. has been secretly investigating. Follow my orders! Take him down!!" Pierce's voice boomed.
"Understood!"
With his command, a torrent of bullets filled the air, firing directly at Aaron. But to Pierce's surprise, the bullets from so many firearms were completely useless against him.
Da da da da!! da da da!!
S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were all equipped with heavy firepower. If firearms failed, they would resort to larger weapons. This man now knew his identity! If he was exposed, not only would Pierce be found out, but so would all of HYDRA's members hidden within S.H.I.E.L.D. Fury's temperament was well known. This kid must not be allowed to live!
The bullets poured relentlessly toward Aaron, but these hot weapons couldn't even get close.
"Is that all you've got?" Aaron's lips curled into a smile. The hail of bullets stopped in front of him and fell to the ground. He hadn't even lifted a hand.
"What!" Pierce was stunned. How can such a person exist? Isn't he just a super-powered individual? How could he deflect so much firepower?
As the gunshots continued, Aaron slowly walked forward. The bullets clinked as they hit the ground, and all the agents and soldiers who were firing couldn't help but swallow nervously. This man in front of them completely exceeded their imagination.
"Hmph! He's just one person with a superpower!" Pierce scoffed, immediately ordering his subordinates to bring in heavy firepower.
"Natasha Romanoff, is this the 'normal' human you were talking about?" Barton swallowed, wishing he had such an ability.
"We can't offend this person. I've already contacted the director. If what he says is true, then Minister Pierce's identity is worth investigating," Natasha replied, but looking at the scene below, she couldn't help but feel a moment of hesitation. "But, looking at the situation, will he keep Minister Pierce alive?"
Natasha shook her head and said no more.
"Pierce?" Aaron stepped onto the floor and slowly walked toward him. He wasn't emitting any terrifying energy, yet in Pierce's eyes, this man was as terrifying as a devil.
"You! Don't come any closer!" Pierce yelled.
"What's the matter?" Aaron ignored him, continuing his slow walk. "You were looking for me and trespassed on my property, weren't you? Isn't that why you wanted me to meet you in person?"
Kaka!
Pierce pulled a pistol from his waist and fired at Aaron.
Boom!!
The bullet flew toward Aaron. But so much heavy firepower hadn't done anything to Aaron, so a simple pistol bullet was no threat.
"Quick! Fire! Fire!" Pierce screamed. "He's not human! He's a devil! A devil who reaps lives!"
At this point, Pierce was still their minister, so the agents continued to shoot without hesitation. But just like before, it was all for nothing. Although Aaron wasn't emitting any frightening aura, Pierce knew that Death himself had come for him. There was no escape now. A crushing pressure made it impossible for him to breathe.
At that very moment, Pierce was horrified to see a faint blue glow in the man's eyes, like shining stars—mysterious, deep, and terrifying. This color, which should never appear before human eyes, was there now.
"You! You're not human!!!" Pierce cried out in despair. But his voice could no longer be heard.
"Yes..." Aaron walked closer. With every step, Pierce's despair grew.
"Who are you!!!" Pierce stumbled backward, staring at him in horror. Death had arrived, like a nightmare without any warning.
"Me? I am Aaron..." Aaron smiled, then replied, "But the world calls me by another name... Hades!"
