After cleaning her mouth of the dirt, Lilith cursed.
"The fuck is this supposed to be?!"
Why did she fail?
"How did this happen?" Noah sat on a large rock on the side, wearing his white robe.
"Like hell I know! It wasn't just a failure, it was a full-on rejection!" She replied with frustration.
She tried to enter the Soul Realm again, but she failed miserably. She repeated it over and over, but the result was always the same: failure.
How the fuck could this happen?! I'm the Soul Calamity! The Soul Realm should be my dominion!
Lilith almost punched herself in frustration. She didn't have a Calamity Core, she was on the run, and the Soul Realm that accepted everyone had rejected her. How unlucky was she?
"That's troublesome..." Noah frowned, it wasn't pleasant news at all.
In her anger, she tried harder to connect to the Soul Realm, spreading her consciousness to the deepest parts of her soul. She failed again and again. Her attempts proved to be futile.
Wait? The hell is that?
In her repeated attempts to enter the Soul Realm, Lilith found something weird and foreign in her soul. It lay far deeper than she thought her being was.
Determined to see what it is, she spread her consciousness deeper, reaching further in her soul than she ever did.
And further still.
Until...
Whoosh.
Lilith's mind shook, and she opened her eyes, startled.
Before her, the world changed.
No, changed wasn't the right word... unveiled was.
Everything was formed from infinite navy blue lines that stretched endlessly. They covered the cave, the stone, the eagle's corpse, the atmosphere, space, time... And even Lilith and Noah. They connected and interacted with each other, almost inseparable.
The very fabric of reality was laid bare before her.
She took a deep breath from the shock, and as she did, the myriad lines did as well. Some moved easily, others were relectant and some weren't affected at all—at least by their appearance.
She had seen this before, when she was reborn as the Soul Calamity.
"Noah, do you know what this is?"
Lilith asked, confused. Even as she spoke, the lines moved in sync.
"I... I'm not sure myself. This doesn't look like anything I've seen or read about before. It must be something unique to the Soul Calamity."
She thought about his words, then asked:
"Do you think... That it is a realm?"
That was the first thought that came to her mind.
After thinking about it, Noah nodded.
"I believe that it is the most likely explanation. It may be the reason why you were rejected from the Soul Realm."
Things started to make sense now.
Lilith moved her hand and grasped a small rock, the lines following her movement.
She dropped it, and it hit the ground. The lines moved with everything, the gravity, the kinetic energy, the sound, the mass of the rock...
Everything was tied to everything.
Feeling curious, lifted the rock again and stared at it. Then, she tried to encompass it with her consciousness.
It didn't work.
However, Lilith felt that it wasn't because it wasn't possible, but because she needed something.
With that thought, she used her consciousness again, this time, she added her heavenly essence to it.
Her will enveloped the rock.
An influx of information entered her mind.
She was startled at first, but quickly regained her bearing.
The knowledge that she had gained was simple. The weight, the texture, the material, the quality... And much more.
She didn't need to decipher it, everything flowed into her mind flawlessly.
Then, she tried to go deeper and used much more of her heavenly essence.
More information came in, how old was the rock, what type of energy was it made of...
A trickle of sweat appeared on her forehead, and she pushed fir more.
"Shit!"
However, she dropped the rock and clutched her head, wincing in pain.
A huge amount of information tried to flow in, but she cut it off immediately.
If she went further, she guessed that she would've stumbled on something that her weak mind couldn't handle.
Her soul was somewhat exhausted, but it will recover quickly. She was the Soul Calamity after all.
"So, what do you think about this?"
Noah asked, although he didn't show it, he was affected by the knowledge as well.
Lilith answered after a short pause:
"It is indeed a realm... I thought that the Soul Realm was where all realms joined, but I don't think so anymore... This realm is where that happens."
Just then, she felt that she was just a little bit off from reaching the Earth Realm with her consciousness, so she saved herself and stopped.
This realm was where reality was formed.
"That's interesting... Lilith, what should we call it?"
It was better than just calling it 'that realm'.
She tilted her head and answered after a moment:
"The Primordial Realm."
It wasn't a hard name to think about, she just thought of what the realm signified.
Noah shrugged.
"Meh, that's decent as well. I thought of naming it the Realm of Origin."
Lilith shrugged as well, she didn't really care about the naming choice.
She thought back to how she gained information by using her consciousness and her heavenly essence, so she lifted the Dragonblight's Legacy.
She used her heavenly essence and consciousness, and tried to peer into the diagram of the spell [Eye of The Storm].
The diagram appeared again, however, instead of having to understand it herself, the knowledge was forcefully pushed into her mind.
She grit her teeth as she felt pain and fatigue in her soul, but continued nevertheless. She felt her soul weaken, and her energy output was beginning to decrease.
After a while, she sighed and put the book down.
She massaged the bridge of her nose and felt her exhausted soul begin to restore itself at a good speed.
The whole diagram was etched into her mind.
Theoretically, she could just create the heavenly essence of the Storm Pathway and cast the spell, but that wasn't what she wanted.
True, the spell would be strong. But she wanted it to be stronger, fit for a Calamity.
So, she began modifying it.
