Chapter 10: The One with the Christmas Party
Rachel Green was confused. She was doing well. She had a job, she had her own money, she was living with her friends. But she was also… confused. Especially about Ross. He was so sweet to her. He was so… romantic. He was so… good. And she was so… in love with him. She just didn't know it yet.
She was at Central Perk, trying to muster up the courage to go to the party. Adam came up to her, a confident, amused smile on his face. "Hey, Rach! You look like you're about to go into battle. Don't worry. It's just a Christmas party. No one's going to die. Unless Monica gets her hands on a bad batch of eggnog."
He then looked into the distance, a small, knowing smirk on his face. "Alright, Mr. Omniscient Dating System. The holidays are upon us. And I need a gift for Monica Bellucci. As a joke, and only as a joke, because I know you're the ultimate gift-giving machine, what Christmas gift should I get for her?"

Adam's eyes widened slightly. "A vintage scarf. Perfect. It's a great gift, and it's a great way to make Monica jealous. She's going to be so mad that I'm not just a prankster. I'm a… gentleman. A gentleman with a prank streak." He then discreetly hid Monica's party decorations.
Later, the group was all gathered at Monica's apartment for the party. Monica was in a full-blown panic. "Where are they?! I had them all laid out! The tinsel, the ornaments, the… the little plastic reindeer! Where are they?!"
Adam, who was in a conversation with Chandler, just shrugged. "I don't know what you're talking about, Monica. Maybe the Christmas spirit just… stole them."
Chandler, meanwhile, was in a full-blown panic of his own. He was holding up a bag of gifts. "I got everyone gifts. I got Joey a new wallet. I got Phoebe a… a rock. I got Ross… a book about rocks. I got Monica… a new label maker. I'm a terrible gift giver! I'm a terrible friend!"
Joey, meanwhile, was dressed as Santa, but a very, very cheap Santa. "Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas, everyone! What do you want for Christmas? I want a sandwich!"
Rachel, meanwhile, was standing next to Ross, her hands trembling slightly. She was holding the tie. "Merry Christmas, Ross," she said, her voice a little shaky.
Ross, his eyes wide with hope, took the tie. He opened it, and a small, happy smile appeared on his face. "Thank you, Rachel. It's… it's a good tie. It's… a tie. I'll wear it every day. Even when I'm not wearing a tie."
Just then, a beautiful, elegant woman walked in. It was Monica Bellucci. Adam walked over to her and handed her the vintage scarf. "This scarf is as unique and timeless as your elegance," he said, a small, genuine smile on his face.
Bellucci smiled back. "Oh, Adam. Thank you. This is beautiful."
Monica, meanwhile, was fuming. She had just found her party decorations, all wrapped up in a box under the couch. She looked over at Adam, a look of pure rage on her face. She then grabbed a huge roll of tinsel and started to wrap it around his chair.
"Whoopsie-daisy, Adam," she said, her voice dripping with smug satisfaction. "Looks like someone got… wrapped up in the holiday spirit. You can hide my decorations, but you can't hide my vengeance!"
