Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Rage And Pain.

My Past Life – Part 13

It hadn't even been six months since my father enrolled me in that school, and now he was getting a call saying I had been suspended. The worst part? The reason.

"Fun part—my own son almost killed his fellow student! If not for the principal stepping in, you would have murdered someone's child!" my dad shouted, his voice shaking with fury.

"I wouldn't have!" I snapped back, my own anger boiling inside me.

"Dad, don't talk when I'm talking!" he roared, cutting me off. "Peter, are you stupid? This is what I always say—you carry your mom's blood in you! This is how her family behaves! They fight, they don't listen, they let anger control their minds! Am I even sure I'm your father? Because you don't have my blood in you!"

His words cut deep, but I refused to show it. "I don't know that, Dad," I muttered, standing up from the couch and walking toward my room.

"I told you—when I'm talking and you walk away, I will beat you up badly!" he yelled. Before I could react, he pulled out his belt and started whipping me. The lashes came down hard, one after another, for what felt like forever—fifteen minutes of pure pain.

I didn't cry. Not a single tear. Instead, the more he hit me, the angrier I became. But I couldn't do anything. No matter how much I wanted to fight back, I couldn't. That was my dad. And no matter what, you don't fight your parents. That's what I believed in.

When he finally stopped, breathing heavily, he looked at me with disgust. "This blood running through your veins may as well be what kills you one day," he spat.

I didn't respond. I just stood there, waiting until he finished speaking and left. Then, with my body aching, I dragged myself to the bathroom, washed off the pain as best as I could, and collapsed into bed, my mind racing with anger and confusion.

 Back In School..

Finally, after a whole week, my suspension was over. Those seven days felt like years. My parents didn't just punish me—they made me suffer. They slapped me, shouted at me, and even refused to give me food most of the time. But now, I was back in school, and Caleb, my classmate, was the first to welcome me.

As I sat down in the classroom, I turned around to look for Sarah, my girl. But she wasn't there. My heart started beating faster. Where was she?

 I quickly tapped Caleb's shoulder. "Hey, Caleb… where's Sarah? Where's my girl?"

Caleb sighed deeply, his face full of sadness. "Peter… what I'm about to tell you is really painful. But promise me you won't overreact."

Inside, my blood was already boiling. My hands clenched into fists, but I forced myself to stay calm. I nodded. "Just tell me."

Caleb took a shaky breath. "We tried calling you so many times, but your phone wasn't going through."

"Yeah," I said bitterly. "My dad took it."

Caleb's voice dropped to a whisper. "While you were suspended… Joe and his gang kept targeting Sarah. Every day, they did something worse to her. Sometimes, they kissed her by force. Other times, they touched her however they wanted. They even stole her food most days. But then… last Friday…" He stopped, struggling to say the words.

My whole body tensed. "What happened, Caleb?!"

"Joe… he forced her. He… he raped her, Peter. He hurt her so badly that she had to be taken to the hospital across the road. When the teachers and principal asked what happened, everyone acted like they didn't know."

The world around me turned red. My vision blurred with rage. My teeth ground together so hard I thought they would break. "And what did you guys do while this was happening?!" My voice was low, but it shook with fury.

Caleb flinched. "W-we fought them, Peter! We tried our best, but there were too many of them! I'm… I'm sorry…"

"Your best wasn't enough!" I exploded. "When they kissed her by force, you should have destroyed their mouths so they could never do it again! When they touched her, you should have broken their hands! When they took her food, you should have crushed their throats! And when they raped her—" My voice cracked. "You should have ripped their balls off so they could never hurt anyone again!"

Caleb's face turned pale. "Peter… you promised not to overreact."

But how could I not? Sarah was everything to me. And now, she was broken because no one had protected her.

Peter stared at Caleb with bloodshot eyes, filled with tears that threatened to spill over. His voice trembled with a mix of pain and fury as he spoke.

"They destroyed my only love… and you expect me to stay quiet, Caleb? No… I won't. I'll make them pay—every single one of them. Joe will suffer a hundred times worse than what he did to me."

Caleb could see the storm raging inside Peter—the kind of anger that twists a person's soul. But before Caleb could say anything to calm him down, Peter turned and stormed out of the classroom.

Peter moved quickly through the hallway, his mind racing. He didn't care about the rules anymore. He didn't care about the teachers watching him. All he could think about was revenge.

He joined the school devotion late, slipping into the crowd of students just as the prayers were ending. The principal's voice boomed over the microphone as hymns were sung, followed by the school anthem. The whole time, Peter's hands clenched into fists, his nails digging into his palms.

Then, the principal called out two names:

"Joe, come up to the podium."

A smug grin spread across Joe's face as he walked forward, enjoying the attention.

"And Peter… come up here as well."

The principal's voice was stern.

"Peter, I want you to apologize to Joe right now—in front of the whole school. What you did was unacceptable. You almost killed him, and you put everyone in danger."

The students whispered among themselves. Some looked at Peter with pity, others with fear.

But Peter didn't hear them. His vision blurred with rage. The principal's words sounded distant, like echoes in a nightmare.

Apologize? After what Joe did? He whispered to himself.

His body shook. His thoughts were dark, violent.

Death… that's all I can think of right now. Death for Joe. Death for everyone who made Sarah feel pain.

The principal waited, but I stayed silent, my jaw clenched so tight it hurt.

The crowd grew uneasy.

The principal sighed.

"Peter, I won't ask again. Apologize. Now."

But i wasn't listening anymore.
