Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Proposal.

My Past Life – Part 14

 The Principal's Warning

The principal's voice was firm, his eyes locked onto mine. "Peter, this is your last warning. Apologize to Joe, his friends, and the entire school for your behavior. I won't say it again."

 But I wasn't listening.

My mind was somewhere else—somewhere dark. All I could think about was revenge. The anger inside me was boiling, and the only thing I wanted at that moment was to make Joe pay. To hurt him the way he had hurt me.

I turned slowly, my eyes finding Joe standing on the school podium. He was smirking at me, that same arrogant smile that made my blood burn. He thought he had won. He thought I was still under his control.

I walked toward him, my steps quick and heavy. My fists clenched so tight that my nails dug into my palms. The pain didn't matter. Nothing mattered except shutting that smile off his face.

I got closer. Face to face. My arm tensed, ready to swing—

 Then, I saw her.

The girl who had kissed me and disappeared without a word. She was standing at the edge of the crowd, watching me. Her lips moved, whispering something I couldn't hear—but somehow, I understood.

A strange calm washed over me. The anger faded, just a little.

 I took a deep breath.

And then, to everyone's shock—including my own—I apologized.

 "I'm sorry."

Joe's smile vanished. His eyes widened in disbelief. He hadn't expected this. He thought I would lose control, that I would give him another reason to make my life worse.

 But he was wrong.

And he had no idea what was coming next.

The school devotion ended, and students scattered to their classes. But I wasn't going to class.

 I needed answers.

The mysterious girl had told me to meet her in an empty classroom—one that looked like it hadn't been used in years. Dust covered the desks, and the air smelled stale. The silence was heavy, almost eerie.

I stepped inside, my heart pounding.

 Then—

 "Hi, Peter."

I jumped. She had appeared out of nowhere, standing right behind me.

"Jesus! Where did you come from? Don't scare me like that!" I snapped, pressing a hand to my chest.

She smiled. "My name is Joy… but you can call me Jolie."

 She didn't waste time.

"Listen, Peter. I'll keep this short. Sleep with me. Let me be your second girlfriend. Do that, and I'll tell you everything—about Joe, his friends, Sarah… and her."

I frowned. "What do you mean? I know Sarah. She's my girlfriend."

Jolie's smile turned knowing. "That's what you think. But what if I told you she's part of everything happening right now?"

My stomach twisted. "I don't understand. What are you trying to say?"

She sighed, shaking her head. "You talk too much now. You used to be different—quieter, sharper. But love has made you foolish. Weak."

 Her words cut deep.

Because deep down… I knew she was right.

Just tell me what you know, Jolie," I begged, my voice barely above a whisper. "Help me… and I promise I'll do whatever you want. Please. I swear—anything. Anything."

My words hung in the air between us, desperate and raw. I didn't break eye contact, hoping she could see the sincerity in my gaze.

Jolie didn't respond. Instead, she turned and closed the classroom door with a soft click. The sound echoed in the empty room, sealing us inside. Then, slowly, she walked toward me, her steps deliberate, her expression unreadable.

Before I could react, she took my hands and placed them around her waist. My breath hitched.

I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly dry. A part of me—a part I thought I had buried long ago—stirred inside my chest. It was like a beast waking from slumber, stretching its limbs after months of silence.

 I shouldn't be doing this…

Sarah's face flashed in my mind, but the thought vanished as Jolie's fingers traced my arms, my shoulders, my chest. Every touch sent a jolt through me, awakening something dark and hungry. The more she touched me, the stronger it grew—an unstoppable force I could no longer control.

"You have a lot of scars, Peter," Jolie murmured, her voice soft but firm. "A lot of pain… anger… regret… hatred. It's all buried deep inside you, eating you alive. If you want it to stop… you need to find peace."

Her words struck a nerve. My grip on her tightened, my fingers digging into her waist.

"Those emotions are me, Jolie," I growled. "They're what keep me strong. What keep me normal. There's no peace for someone like me… only trouble."

And just like that, the last thread of restraint snapped.

My hands slid down, gripping her ass firmly, pulling her against me. The lust I had suppressed for so long exploded inside me, a wildfire with no mercy. Our lips crashed together in a fierce, desperate kiss. The world around us blurred—time, reason, everything melted away.

 But then… something was wrong.

My vision swam. My legs wobbled. I staggered back, my balance failing me.

"Wha—what… what's happening?" I slurred, my tongue heavy in my mouth. My knees buckled, and I collapsed onto the floor, my body refusing to obey me.

Jolie stood over me, her lips curled into a small, knowing smile.

"What… did you do?" I gasped, my muscles locking up.

She laughed—a soft, chilling sound. "I injected you with a strong paralyzing drug the moment you kissed me. Now… it's time for you to sleep. When you wake up… you'll understand everything."

Panic surged through me, but my body was already shutting down.

 "Wait… hold on… WAIT—"

 Darkness swallowed me whole.

 Besh.

 To be continued…
