"Jolie, you need to hurry up now!" I said, my voice filled with urgency. Every second counted. If we didn't act fast, things would take a turn for the worse.
Jolie, still working on freeing me, replied calmly, "Jolie, I know, I know. Just relax first, okay?" Her voice was steady, but I could tell she was just as nervous as I was.
The leader of the thugs stepped forward, his tall, muscular frame towering over the others. He had dark skin, long black hair, and a deep scar running down his face, making him look even more intimidating. He smirked as he spoke.
"Before we kill you and have our way with her," he said, pointing at Jolie, "tell me—why are you both here when you're supposed to be in school?"
I wasn't about to let him intimidate me. "We got lost," I replied with a mocking tone. "Would you mind letting us go?"
The room was filled with seven armed men, each one built like a fighter. They held sharp cutlasses, ready to strike at any moment. Their leader, however, stood out the most—taller, stronger, and with a presence that made it clear he was in charge.
The thug leader's smirk turned into a cold glare. "I see you have a sharp tongue, boy," he said. "But don't worry—you'll be begging for your life soon enough."
Just then, Jolie finally freed me. "Alright, Peter, I'm done loosening the chains. What now?" she asked, her eyes scanning the room for an escape.
The moment I was free, I leaped up from the chair and jumped backward, putting some distance between us and the thugs. But as I looked around, I realized we were completely surrounded. There was no easy way out.
"There's nowhere to run, Jolie," I said, my voice low and serious. "We're trapped from all sides." My fists clenched as anger surged through me. "And to be honest, I'm very, very angry right now. So how about we break every last one of them, Jolie?" I was ready to fight—no hesitation.
But Jolie had other plans.
I suddenly heard her voice from above. "Hey, Peter!" she called out loudly. I looked up and saw her standing on the windowsill, high above the ground. "I was told to keep my eyes on you and not get into any fights with thugs. Let's go—jump up! I'll catch you!"
I was stunned. "You know how to surprise someone, Jolie," I said, staring up at her. "How did you even get up there?"
I hesitated for a second. "Well, I suggest you leave me behind," I said. "I'll deal with these guys and meet up with you later."
But the thug leader wasn't about to let that happen. "Don't let her escape, men!" he barked. "And someone kill that boy—immediately!"
"Yes, boss!" the thugs shouted in unison.
One of them lunged at me, swinging a long, sharp cutlass. Before he could reach me, I spun around and sprinted toward the window where Jolie was waiting. With all my strength, I leaped upward—but I didn't make it. My fingers barely brushed the edge before I started falling back down.
Just as I thought I was done for, Jolie's hand shot out and grabbed my wrist. "Got you!" she said, pulling me up with surprising strength. The next thing I knew, we were both jumping out of the window and landing hard in the back of a garbage truck. The truck rumbled away, leaving the thugs behind.
Back inside the building, the thugs stood in stunned silence.
"Sorry, boss… they got away," one of them muttered.
The leader's face twisted in rage. "Yeah, sorry for yourselves, you incompetent fools!" he snarled.
Back In school.
The Abandoned classroom.
Jolie and i ran so fast we reached an old, forgotten part of the school a place I never knew existed. The door to the abandoned classroom creaked loudly as I pushed it open, and we stumbled inside. My hands trembled as I quickly shut the door behind us, then dragged a dusty chair to block it. I collapsed onto the chair, trying to catch my breath.
Jolie leaned against the wall, her chest rising and falling rapidly. She wiped sweat from her forehead and looked at me with wide eyes.
Jolie: "Peter… tell me the truth. Were you really going to fight them back there? Or were you just bluffing?"
I let out a shaky laugh, running a hand through my messy hair.
Peter: "Not in this lifetime, Jolie. Did you see those guys? Each one was ten times my size! If you hadn't found us a way out, I would've… well, I would've found another way. Running was the smart move."
Jolie smirked, shaking her head.
Jolie: "So you talked big like a man, then turned and ran like a scared little mouse."
I rolled my eyes.
Peter: "Well, I'm not exactly a man yet, am I? And besides, you're the one who got us into this mess in the first place. Don't blame me for not wanting to get beaten to a pulp. My life is more important than trying to prove something stupid."
Jolie laughed, hopping onto one of the old, broken desks. The wood groaned under her weight, but it held.
I looked around the classroom. Even though the sun was still shining outside, the room was strangely dark. The windows were covered in layers of grime, and cobwebs hung from the ceiling like ghostly curtains. A cold shiver ran down my spine.
(I thought to myself: This place gives me goosebumps. How did I never know the school had a spot like this? It feels… like death.)
Jolie swung her legs playfully, watching me. Then, out of nowhere, she said something that made my stomach flip.
Jolie: "Peter… I want sex right now. And I know you want it too."
My mouth fell open.
Peter: "Jolie—what?! You can't be serious! After everything that just happened, you're… horny?!"
But Jolie wasn't joking. She slid off the desk and walked toward me slowly, her eyes locked onto mine. Her fingers brushed against my lips, soft and teasing.
Jolie: "Yes, Peter. I'm serious."
I swallowed hard, my face burning.
Peter: "I—I'm not in the mood. I need to go see Sarah at the hospital."
Jolie laughed and stepped back, crossing her arms.
Jolie: "Don't even think about it. Her parents are there, along with her bodyguards. If they find out you're her boyfriend, they'll drag you away—and knowing you, you'd probably admit it right away because you're an idiot."
I sighed, rubbing my temples.
Peter: "I've had enough of being kidnapped for one day."
But before I could say anything else, Jolie did something I never expected.
In one smooth motion, she pulled off her shirt, then her skirt, letting them drop to the floor. My breath caught in my throat.
Peter: "Jolie… you can't be serious. How am I supposed to say no to this?"
My body moved before my brain could stop me. I stood up, pulling off my own clothes in a rush. The air between us was electric. I grabbed Jolie, pulling her close, and our lips crashed together. The kiss was hungry, desperate.
Our hands explored each other's bodies, our breaths hot and heavy. The world outside didn't matter anymore—just this moment, just us.
I lifted Jolie onto the desk, spreading her legs as I positioned myself between them. My heart raced, my body trembling with need.
But just as I was about to—
BANG!
The door flew open.
