"It cannot be done, not yet. We need the girl to unbind the chains. Her blood is the only key."
"Excuses."
"No, my Lord. A warning," the sorcerer hissed. "Without her, the gate will shatter. And from its cracks will spill other things that do not bow to masters, not even you."
The shadow withdrew, fading into the dark.
Finally the cave fell silent ince more.
The sorcerer remained where he was, staring at the swirling fire.
He tightened his grip on his staff.
"It won't be long now, Moonguard. When the next full moon rises... I will find you."
