Chapter 11 - Wolf or Zombie?

The triplets turned off the video call and tried snapping my out of my stupor? Daze? Whatever this is.

I saw their actions but it was like watching a TV someone put on mute without the captions on.

They even got elder wolf in to try and snap me out of it. But it didn't work. Only time I seem to fully register something is when someone got too close to my pack statue I carved.

The triplets untied me to see if I would move or even lash out at them but I didn't. I only moved from that chair when the elder wolf pulled me out of it.

He pulled me into a different room. It was clearly a guest room. I didn't smell anyone's scent.

So they probably aired it out after it got cleaned. But still I just stood in the center of the room without moving.

At least I did for three days. After that the elder wolf came in and sat me on the bed. He put a whittling knife in my hand and held up a wooden block.

"Carve the pup like you carved your pack. Honor him the same way." The elder wolf said gently.

I actually moved on my own accord after that. I took the wooden block and started whittling. I didn't have many memories of the pup being happy given the circumstances.

But I did know what he looked like when sleeping. So I did a carving of just his wolf and of him curled up in my lap.

*Gasps!?*

"He got her to move!" Alexis cheers.

"What!?" A chorus of voices called out.

I couldn't make out all of the voices but I didn't care nor did I want to. I just kept working.

"Hey kid, how come you don't have a human carving of the pup?" The elder wolf asks.

I froze. My grip on the knife tightening.

"Why is she mad?!" Heather exclaims as she rushes in.

"I only asked her why she hasn't done a human carving of that pup." The elder wolf informed.

"Because she never saw his human side. We used a black market drug to make the boy shift and kept him collared so he never really had the chance to shift into his human form." Rava says as if what she just said was normal.

"You what?!" The elder wolf exclaimed.

"What?" Alexis asks.

"No wonder she's so broken! You kill her pack in front of her then force a poor pup to shift and stay in wolf form to threaten her then kill him in front of her! She's right about you being monsters!" The elder wolf yells.

"Oh please it's not that bad!" The king huffs.

"For the pass five months she's been like a zombie! She didn't even blink without help! I surprised she was able to breath without a machine!" The elder wolf yells again.

Five months? I hadn't even realized a day had passed before three days ago. How strange.

"She could have been blowing things out of proportions!" The king argues.

"I had to blend her food up into a smoothie or some type of liquid and force it down her throat! I almost drowned her at least twice because of this! I don't even think she registered me feeding her! That should have been more than enough to tell you something was wrong!" The elder wolf explains.

"Well.. I suppose that is bad..." The king admits.

"You suppose?!" The elder wolf says exasperated.

"Enough. What's important now is trying to get her to talk again." Rava says.

"I think I can get that done easily enough." The king states.

"How?" Heather asks.

"Hey mutt! Speak up and you might be able to see the rotting remains of that mini mutt!" The king yells at me.

My eyes snap up.

"Why are her eyes red? They weren't red a second ago." Alexis points out.

"Oh no..." The elder wolf says.
