Chapter 15 - A special case.

"No!" The triplets cried and rushed over to me.

"Damn kid..." The elder wolf says shocked.

I handed him the wooden statues I made only trusting him to keep them safe. He nodded. Proving he understood what I wanted without us needing to use words.

"Call the medics!" The king demands.

"I can't believe she did that!" The queen exclaims.

That was the last thing I heard before I blacked out. I don't know how long I was out for but I woke up in a medical bed.

"You're awake!" The triplets yelled.

I groaned and covered my head.

"No! You don't get to do that!" Alexis says yanking the blankets from me.

"Please don't treat the patient roughly. I know you're upset but like I said her body is refusing medical assistance. Anything could cause internal bleeding right now." A doctor says walking into the room.

"How do we get her to heal herself properly?!" Heather asks.

"This has to do with her wolf not the human. After all her wolf had to allow her to use its claws to do this." The doctor states.

"That doesn't answer how we get her to heal!" Rava says.

"It's likely she won't just up and heal herself." The doctor sighs.

"That's not an answer!" Alexis cries.

"Listen I'm a vampire doctor. You'll need a wolven doctor to best treat her. Wolves have stopped sharing their anatomy with other species since wolves have started going missing and turning up dead." The doctor explains.

"There has to be something you can do!" Heather exclaims.

"The most I could do would be for her human. But like I said this is a matter of her wolf too not just the human." He states.

"Why did they even withhold that information? If anything you would think they would spread it more to make sure the wolves can get medical treatment at least." Rava asks.

"Simple. We thought that you were using that to find wolves blessed by the goddess or very strong wolves. So we hid what made us similar as well as traits that could be from a special wolf hoping that it would allow the wolves a longer chance of survival and escape." The elder wolf explains walking in.

I perked up and held my arms out to him.

"Well isn't that something. She didn't even give me a second glance even though I'm her acting doctor but she immediately reached out for the wolf." The doctor mumbled.

"Hey kid. Here's your statues." He says about to hand the statues to me.

"No!" Heather says and Alexis slaps the elder wolf's hands away.

We both growled at their actions.

"She doesn't get those statues. In fact you shouldn't be here! Get out now!" Alexis says.

"Why the hell not?" He asks.

"Because she thought she could just hurt herself in front of us and not get punished?! As if. She's not allowed any wolven contact! And she's also not allowed those statues!" Heather explains.

"You can't be serious." He sighs.

"We are." Alexis doubles down.

"Who the hell is going to get her fucking medical information? She could be allergic to a drug, or she could have a rare blood type and might bleed out before a test can be done." He argues.

"She would tell us that herself wouldn't she?" The doctor asks confused.

"No. She hasn't spoken in days and I had just gotten her to speak to me before she hospitalized herself. These three don't even know her name let alone anything medical." The elder wolf explains.

"They.. don't even know her name?" The doctor repeats stunned.

"Nope." He confirms.

"I have to agree with this wolf his presence is essential for us to get this female to recover." The doctor says.

"She may not talk to us but she can write it down." Heather says.

"What makes you think she would do that?" The elder wolf asks.

"Does she not know how to write?" The doctor asks.

"I'm sure she does.. maybe. But they had to alpha order her to eat before even bringing her into vampire territory because she rather die than be near them." He explains

"So basically we're dealing with a wolf with no sense of self preservation or will to live?" The doctor asks looking for clarification.

"More or less." The elder wolf confirms.

"What did you do to this poor girl princesses?" The doctor asks.

"You don't have the authority to ask that." Alexis says.

"But I need to know for medical and possibly mental treatment." The doctor argues.

"You shouldn't have said so much." Heather scolds.

"I'm not going to lie about the situation when her life is on the line." The elder wolf says.

"Enough." Rava says.

Her sisters, the elder wolf and the doctor all went quiet.

"We'll force her to cooperate if we need to. And you two stay in your place. You'll monitor and treat her the best that you can. Understood doctor?" Rava says.

"U-understood princess." The doctor stuttered.

"And you, you have no right to try and say you know the best way to treat her. You should have spoken up sooner if that was the case and you have no medical practice under your belt so unless asked you'll keep your opinions to yourself. Got it?" She continues.

"Fine." The elder wolf relents.

"Now you can either start cooperating or we'll figure something else out." She says looking at me.

I just turned away from her not even bothering to pretend to listen.

Which then started my weeks of hospital stay. The triplets visited me three times a day. Each time to make sure I ate.

The doctor would try convincing me and my wolf to heal ourselves. Which failed each time.

The elder wolf couldn't come back and so I didn't even have my statues either. They had a TV in my room but it was nothing but romcoms.

So I just turned it off. Alexis asked one day how come the TV is never on. A nurse happened to be walking by when she asked that.

The nurse then informed her that I kept turning it off no matter how many times something tried to turn it on for me.

Heather asked what normally aired on the TV. And the nurse said that they only have the romance channels available on this TV.

Rava asked if the same shows repeated often and the nurse told her they didn't. In fact the likelihood of a show repeating would only happen if it was requested to play again.

Alexis then suggested that I might not like romance shows. So the triplets turned on the TV and get the nurse to unlock the other channels.

I don't know what they used but it was basically like some sort of parental control.

But the triplets immediately started surfing the channels trying to find something that would peek my interest.

I did see some stuff that interested me. But I only watched it when the triplets weren't here.

But that was blown when they asked for some movies to try with me and a nurse said that I tend to watch a lot of TV now. And a variety.

They were right outside the door so I heard that nurse completely expose me. But the triplets got upset when the nurse told them that I tend to turn off the TV before they come to visit.

But that was really the most eventful thing about this stay. Until they came back with the elder wolf and.. a new wolf who looked terrified.

"Hey kid. They kidnapped a doctor. She's wolven as you can smell and very tense." The elder wolf says.

"Listen carefully you'll examine her only. No unnecessary or extra touches if you wanna keep your hands." Heather threatens the wolf.

For some reason that didn't sit right with me and I growled.

"You feeling better or something? You haven't growled in a while kid!" The elder wolf teases.

The doctor wolf who turns out to be a female comes over to me. She grabs my wrist to feel my pales and we both tense.

The sparks of a mate bond is there... Shit.

"What just happened?!" Alexis exclaims.

I quickly pull my arm back and rub it a bit.

"Looks like they both shocked themselves with some static electricity is all. Calm down." The elder wolf says.

"H-how come she isn't talking?" The doctor wolf asks.

He voice is so smooth and soft! I could literally listen to it forever.

"What does that matter?" Rava asks.

Her voice was threatening. I bristled slightly.

"Because I need to know if she'll be able to respond to my questions as I examine her." She says.

"We should be able to answer some of the questions ourselves." Heather states.

"No you won't." She argues.

"And why do you say that Mutt?!" Alexis asks.

"Because I'm going to be pressing down in certain areas to see how much pain is caused and it's better if she can give me a number from 1-10." She explains.

"Well I guess we won't be able to answer that then.. She doesn't talk to anyone but this old man here. But she only talks to them when they're alone." Rava explains.

"Then can you all leave the room?" She requests.

"No." The triplets say immediately.

"You brought me here to examine her. Give us some privacy to do so." She says.

"And leave you alone to do who knows what with her?" Heather says.

"He can stay in here with us." She says pointing at the elder wolf.

"No!" Alexis says.

"Are they always this difficult?" She asks.

I nod.

"Yes they are." The elder wolf says.

The vampire doctor comes in and stands next to the female doctor.

"You should really just conduct the examination now instead of arguing. I'm sure you can get her to hold up her fingers to rate the pain." The vampire doctor says.

"It's more effective orally." She argues.

The vampire doctor grabbed her shoulder and made her look at him.

"Do you think you're mouthing off to mutt!" He snaps.

I immediately clawed at him and growled.

"Gah!?" He exclaims fumbling back.

The elder wolf rushed over to us.

"Are you two ok?" The elder wolf asked.

I saw the female doctor nod and I calmed down a bit.

"What the hell was that about?!" Heather exclaims.

"If.. I had to guess her wolf responded to the aggressiveness around her. Like a survival instinct. But I would need to a thorough examination to deduce it." The female doctor says.

"But she has no self preservation and no will to live! She would have already been dead if not for an alpha order on her!" The vampire doctor exclaims.

"What?!" The female doctor says shocked.

"Why the extreme reaction?" Rava asks.

"Because wolves who were placed under an alpha order by force or by an alpha they technically aren't aligned to tend to find other ways around those orders often causing an internal destruction of types!" She says.

"What?!" The triplets exclaim.

"All of you out! I need to prep for a more comprehensive examination and I need her as calm as possible to avoid any injuries to us and her!" She orders.

"What about him?" Alexis asks pointing at the elder wolf.

"Has she ever made her agitated? Or aggressive?" She asks putting on gloves.

"No." Heather answers.

"Then he can stay. He may help keep her calm." She says.

"Fine.. we'll have some nurses come in and help you." Rava says.

"No. The less people the better. The room isn't very big and too many people may make her feel cornered." She says.

"Ok..." Rava acknowledges before she, her sisters and the vampire doctor leave.

The female doctor blocked the glass on the door with some paper then came over to me.

"What's your name?" She asks.

"Ren." I answered.

"You talked?!" The elder wolf exclaimed silently remembering what happened last time.

"She's my mate." The doctor says.

"What?!" The elder wolf exclaimed again.

"What's your name?" I asked the doctor.

"Rei." She says.

"You know those triplets are going to kill her if they find out." The elder wolf warns.

"I won't let them!" I growled.

"So how come you haven't healed yourself yet?" Rei asks.

"Because.. I'll still be fertile and I'm not letting them breed me." I answered.

"What?! You'll still be able to have kids after this?!" The elder wolf says shocked.

"You must be blessed by the goddess or a special wolf.." Rei says staring at me shocked as well.
