Chapter 9 - Punishment or reward?

They locked me up for a week. Then at the end of the week they came in and asked if I give in.

I didn't. So they locked me up for two weeks. Same check up and same reply. They've been the only ones allowed near the room I'm trapped in.

I don't know where it is. I just know that after Rava said that threat I was knocked out. And I woke up in a room with no windows.

There's a bathroom and a closet. Then the little bed against the wall.

But besides those things there wasn't really anything in this room. There was a slot that I would get a tray of food on.

I'm guessing they're the ones who deliver it to make sure I eat. Because whenever I tried to ignore the meal I felt the pain of trying to defy an alpha's order.

But I'm currently a month and a half into this 2 months isolation. Yeah last month they thought I finally broke so they went to touch me and I bit them.

But this isolation has been great for me. I've been doing some training. I have to keep my strength up.

And then I also been taking apart the wooden frame for the bed to keep up my woodworking skills and stuff.

I didn't want to forget my pack members so I made little wooden figures of them in both wolf and human form.

Which actually gave me some peace of mind. I also made a lot of them. Some focused on specific moments.

Others focused on specific traits. I also made one of us in a sleep pile. Both human and wolf forms of course. Except they're in one.

So our wolf forms are around our human forms in a two separate sleep piles. I'm actually really proud of it.

I started sleeping with it close and taking it with me when I used the bathroom. It was the thing that seemed to bring me the most comfort.

Which also made the remaining days go by in a flash. Before I knew it the door was opening and the triplets walked in.

However this time they weren't alone. They had the king and Queen and the elder wolf with them.

"Are you finally done with this tantrum?" Heather asks.

"Wait what's with all the little wood statues?" Alexis asks.

She went to grab one and I growled. I was in front of her in a flash shoving her away and grabbing any statues that were too close to them.

"Hey you ok kid?" The elder wolf asks.

"Yeah."

*Coughs, coughs.*

"I'm fine. Why do you ask?" I answer.

My voice was rough from lack of use.

"Can I see those statues?" He asks.

I tensed up a bit but nodded reluctantly.

"You need to come to me and you can't touch any of them." I relent.

"Ok." He says and comes over to me.

I showed him the carvings. Except for the one of the sleep pile that I've been carrying around with me.

"These are amazing. But it the same few people. Who are they?" He asks.

"My pack.. my family." I answered.

"Oh wow.. your pack really was a small one." He says.

"What gives?! You make carvings of those mutts who are long dead and maggot food but you refuse to just accept us?!" Alexis complains.

"This was supposed to be a punishment to show you that you'll be alone without us. Not some arts and crafts time!" Heather adds.

"Did you really destroy that bed frame just to make statues of some mutts that were put down?" The king asks.

"Isn't it funny how you have to force the one you want to stay with you and to stay alive? But my pack stayed by my side the whole time and thought of me even when they died. Too bad you won't ever have that." I state.

"You damn mutt!" He roars.

"Fine if this isolation isn't a punishment for you then how about we force you to stay with us?" Alexis suggests.

"Damn kid. You're going to get all of us on a shorter leash." The elder wolf sighs.

"I'll be dead before I ever consider those monsters as anything else besides scum that I can't wait to see die." I say calmly.

"Haha! That's quite the way to speak in front of them no less!" The elder wolf laughs.

"This isn't a laughing matter! Your step granddaughters were basically cursed to death and you're laughing about it?!" The queen yells.

"Oh for the goddess's sake! When will you get it! Wolves may have pack bonds but there's no way in hell any of us would accept you miserable mosquitoes as our family! Our pack!" I say simply.

"How the hell are we supposed to believe you speak on behalf of all of those wolves!?" The king asks.

"Because we're all wolves! You honestly think that any wolf in their right mind would allow themselves to be succumb to this suffering!? Even rogues have it better!" I yelled.

"You bastard. I'm going to end you!" The king says.

Almost immediately the triplets slapped him.

"Don't touch her!" They yelled.

"She's ours to punish." Rava says.

"And punish her we will." Heather says coming over to me.
