In the middle of the night, I went in search of her. Pacing in my room only made me run mad. There was absolute pain knowing that everything was not going to be fine. If I was willing to throw her into the dungeons, I could only imagine what someone else would do to her. I let her slip, I had placed her in a place that wasn't good for her. I knew I still couldn't trust her identity and how well I was willing to trust that she was actually Daphne. I didn't know how else to approach the situation. Now she was in the wind with her clothes as the only thing that remained of her.
I had told the guards to search for her a d it was after midnight a d none of them seemed to have returned. Frank had made sure to send his warnings do I do not leave the room or the mansion. He was the only person I could trust with finding her and yet it felt like everything was a stand still..I didn't know just how much I could take after being thrown off guard like this.
