Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 : Sniper Located??

Ren's new villa had a full laboratory setup, with no shortage of equipment.

From now on, he could live a shut-in life without leaving the house.

Ren took out his phone and checked another feed—remote monitoring.

This thing worked like real-time anime watching.

Miyano Shiho and Miyano Akemi watched from left and right respectively.

"Tsk, tsk, so far only the small fries are dead."

"Small fries?" Akemi showed a puzzled expression.

"Can you adjust the screen?" Shiho pointed at the screen.

"Sure, here you go." Ren handed the phone to Shiho.

The group watched the battle between the red and black sides with great interest.

Watching from this spot was exciting but without any danger to life.

...

"Oh yeah, another hit." Chianti clenched her fist.

Korn just stared at the data in front of him—wind speed, actual distance, heat imaging—and then fired.

His shot was just as precise, taking out another agent's life.

Their position was in a nearby building, aiming at where Ren used to live.

It was basically a hunting competition.

"The drone's functions are impressive." Korn was very satisfied.

The other side had packed so many features inside.

"Hennessy is a top researcher in the organization. So, have you found Akai Shuichi yet?" Gin's voice came through the phone.

"Not yet. They actually sent some trash? Do they underestimate us?" Chianti sounded a bit annoyed.

The enemy hadn't shown themselves, so she couldn't snipe.

"Bourbon, that traitor, hasn't appeared either." Calvados spoke calmly while firing a shot.

"Damn it, their target is Hennessy." Gin's tone was cold, showing his anger.

"Haha, probably because of his mixed blood, too obvious, got exposed." Chianti didn't get the serious mood.

"Chianti." Korn was sparing words—angering Gin now would be a bad idea.

Gin hung up the call on their side and directly called Ren.

The call connected quickly.

"Hennessy, is Akai Shuichi with you?"

"No longer there, should have gone to your side."

Listening to the voice on the phone, Gin's tone softened, "What's going on?"

"There are some smart people on the opposing side who found out the lab's address and came to assassinate. Luckily, my tech tracked their movements, giving us ten minutes to escape. Unfortunately, all the computer equipment is gone." Renl naturally felt regretful about this.

"Heh, they came here?"

"Yeah."

"Good." Gin hung up the phone immediately and aimed his sniper at the villa nearby.

"The enemy was definitely prepared. What should we do, Shūichi?" Jodie and the others hid behind a building, not daring to show themselves.

At that moment, the phone rang, and Jodie quickly answered.

"Shūichi, how is it? Did you succeed?"

"Failed. How's the situation on your side?"

Jodie only showed her head, and the nearby wall was shot at: "Things aren't good here either. The enemy somehow knows our location. You should be careful coming over. Four police officers and agents are already dead, but we haven't even seen any of the enemy."

"Hmm, you all focus on defense. I'll come over."

"Shūichi, be careful. If you come here, they might discover your position." Jodie was worried.

Akai Shūichi didn't hang up. He also prepared his sniper and aimed at the drone in his scope at the edge of his shooting range.

"Hennessy." Shūichi whispered. The enemy's scientific ability is too strong. Because of them, too many agents have died, and there's been no real progress tracking the organization.

"Target spotted, distance one thousand yards." Chianti looked at a red dot on the screen.

"Out of range." Korn fired a test shot, which went wide.

Sure! Here's the cleaned-up, simple English translation of your chapter, formatted like a novel with spaces between sentences and preserving the original essence, characters, and cultural details:

Gin also aimed at Shuichi Akai.

Tonight, he wanted to finish off this Silver Bullet, but with a sniper shooting from such a distance, it was almost impossible to hit the target.

"Finding a target this far away is really impressive," Shuichi Akai said as he aimed at a drone flying in the air and fired.

The drone detected a sudden rise in temperature and immediately changed its position, narrowly avoiding the shot.

"Amazing. That guy Hennessy's invention is incredible," even Chianti couldn't help but admire Ror's creation at this moment.

"Infrared, sound wave detection, thermal imaging technology, and an automatic evasion system — it's truly an amazing invention," Gin sneered, keeping his sights locked on Shuichi Akai.

"Phew." Shuichi Akai exhaled deeply. The enemy could easily locate their position, but so far, they could only confirm the drone's location, not the sniper's position.

He then moved again to change his location. Since the drone could be controlled remotely, they still had some distance before entering the enemy's shooting range.

Bang.

Chianti fired another shot. This time, Shuichi Akai confirmed the position of one sniper and set up his scope. The target was approaching his effective shooting range.

"Chianti, move quickly!" Korn rarely spoke but ordered her to retreat before hiding himself.

"What?" Chianti turned around just as a bullet shattered her sniper scope.

The bullet barely grazed her face, burning her skin. Her gun was destroyed, and she nearly died. Now, she lay on the ground, unable to move.

The wound on her face didn't matter anymore in such a dangerous moment — at worst, she'd be disfigured.

"Change your sniper positions and aim at the villa. Stay out of the enemy's shooting range," Gin ordered the three snipers.

"But…" Chianti was furious. Death didn't scare her, but being so outmatched by the enemy was something she couldn't accept.

"That's an order," Gin said coldly.

Korn silently pulled Chianti away. Calvados also quickly retreated. Facing the super sniper Shuichi Akai, death was the only possible outcome they could imagine.

"Silver Bullet." Gin's expression darkened. With drones scouting, they could quickly locate the enemy's position, but Shuichi Akai didn't get close to attack.

Their shooting range wasn't as far as his. If they fired a few shots, they would immediately reveal their sniper spots.

Relying on the drones, Gin knew the enemy sniper's position was about eight hundred yards from his own.

Shuichi Akai did not reveal himself easily.

The enemy only exposed two sniper positions, but in fact, the organization had more snipers in Japan, and Gin had not yet made a move.

"Is that drone tracking your location?" Conan asked, following Shuichi Akai.

He couldn't go to the front lines and expose himself to the organization's sight.

"Judging by previous results, yes. I don't know what method they're using," Shuichi Akai said with a serious expression.

The trouble that Ren was causing them was far from over.

"Call the agents," Conan said.

Right now, there was too little information.

He didn't understand the drone's tracking function, but if it had a similar tracking feature like the glasses the professor invented, they could use it to confirm the enemy's location through the drone.

But they needed to verify it first.

At the same time, Conan planned to move away from Shuichi Akai.

Soon, the call connected, and Jodie's voice came through.

"Shuichi, how's it going?"

"Big sis, when you were under sniper fire, did the drone's position change?" Conan asked directly.

"Yes, it moved, but it was just flying around randomly," Jodie replied after thinking for a moment.

"Did it fly lower at some point?" Conan hurried to ask.

"I think so," Jodie answered, not entirely sure.

After hanging up, Conan pushed up his glasses.

"If I'm right, the enemy's sniper positions are already clear."

"Oh?" Shuichi Akai waited for Conan's answer.
