Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 : Setting Trap!!

The organization had no intention of tracking down Shinichi Kudo.

This was mainly because Shiho Miyano had previously concluded he was dead, and the organization had no energy to spend on someone already confirmed dead.

Moreover, after cleaning up the spy incident, Gin had become even busier.

Conan's worries were clearly unnecessary.

As long as Conan didn't investigate recklessly, or was careful while doing so, it would be very difficult for the organization to find him.

One day after the battle between Black and Red ended.

"Finally done."

Ren looked at the cocoon in front of him with excitement.

The reason it wasn't a helmet was because the current technology couldn't scan the whole body like a helmet could.

Inside were two games: one, a pirate game; the other, a ninja game.

The inspiration came from his experiences with his other selves, making the games more complete.

However, due to the short development time, there were no NPCs inside.

The pirate game only had a vast ocean, and the ninja game had no ninjas.

To fully develop these games would take much more time.

Meanwhile, Gin, who had obtained three positions, began preparing to rescue Chianti.

Naturally, Ren still didn't participate.

As a research unit, there was no need to interfere with the operations team, and he couldn't collect two salaries.

"I heard you have so much black tech, yet you haven't used it on that man? You even had me fly all the way to Japan to help you," a woman mocked.

Gin smoked calmly, not replying to Vermouth.

"At present, Chianti has three positions for tracking within the Public Security. I need you to verify the accuracy of the information about these positions," he said.

Korn cleaned his sniper rifle nearby.

Though silent, he had put a lot of effort into this rescue mission.

"These three positions inside Public Security are dangerous," Vermouth said seriously after seeing the three relatively close points.

"Vermouth, the organization sent you here for this mission," Gin said.

"I know. I'll confirm it," Vermouth replied and quickly left.

Korn looked at Gin, seemingly questioning him.

"In the organization, I'm not impressed with her, but her abilities are undeniable," Gin replied slowly.

"How long?" Korn asked.

"Less than a day," Gin took a drag from his cigarette.

Korn said nothing further, and Calvados stayed silent as well. He admired Vermouth and naturally wouldn't speak ill of her.

Neon Police.

"This time, this woman will serve as bait to lure them out and as an opportunity to completely detain her. Of course, if there's a chance she could be rescued, we eliminate her directly. The sniper must not be taken back by the organization," Rei Furuya arranged the mission.

The others nodded in agreement. They had lost so many comrades and were already filled with vengeance, just waiting for a trigger.

"This time, I'm joining," Shuichi Akai spoke.

Conan was also here. Last time, he had proven his skills and earned recognition from Akai and Rei Furuya, so Rei invited him.

Conan, unwilling to let the organization go, naturally agreed.

"I don't remember inviting you. This is Neon, and can the current FBI really help?" Rei Furuya mocked.

The FBI had suffered heavy losses last time. Jodie had been bedridden in the hospital ever since, and everyone else present had been killed.

"This time it's not in the FBI's name, but my own," Shuichi Akai said resolutely. He had an unshakable responsibility as a decision-maker after the FBI's last heavy sacrifice.

"Is that so? On our side, we've confirmed that her phone, drone remote, and herself all have tracking devices. We plan to use these trackers to distract the organization's members while we focus on breaking through," Rei Furuya roughly explained the plan.

"What's the plan for the three trackers?" Shuichi Akai asked.

"Change the prison and transport them along three different routes."

"Can the tracker on the woman be removed?"

"Not in the short term. After she realized she would be arrested, she swallowed it immediately." Rei Furuya shook his head. He had tried laxatives and stomach pumping, but this woman's method of self-harm was horrifying.

At that moment, Conan suggested, "Mr. Furuya can focus on escorting the phone, and Mr. Akai can personally escort the sniper alone."

Rei Furuya frowned. By focusing on one tracker, they could make a breakthrough.

Even if the other side found Chianti's location, with Shuichi Akai there, failure wouldn't allow the decoy to return to the organization.

Although he disliked them, he knew this wasn't the time for arguments. For the sake of the fallen officer, he had to put aside personal feelings.

"This time, the routes are mostly under surveillance. The traffic team will also check for suspicious vehicles nearby, and the escort vehicles are equal in number," Rei Furuya explained. He had invested a lot of manpower into this operation.

They made it seem like any of the three cars could be targeted, preventing the organization from sending only minor members to check the other two locations.

Of course, if the enemy aimed at the drones, they could arrest active organization members with no chance of rescue.

At the other two locations, the enemy's forces were concentrated. Shuichi Akai's strength was more than enough.

Even if he couldn't defeat the organization members, they wouldn't succeed in a rescue.

"But there's one problem with this plan: the enemy drones' sensing function. I don't know exactly how it works, so it's hard to counter." Rei Furuya frowned. He couldn't think of a solution for this.

"This is a signal jammer I asked the professor to invent. It can disrupt most communication devices and signal-emitting products," Conan said, taking out a small device.

"Can it interfere with the enemy's drones?"

"I haven't tried it before, but we can place a woman in each car and install these signal jammers." Conan thought for a moment and suggested a more reasonable approach.

"A woman?"

"When we're uncertain, it's best to use someone in similar conditions," Conan explained.

"Alright, let's do it that way." Rei Furuya made the decision immediately.

"However, there's one problem. Would the organization use a bomb to blow things up directly?" This was Conan's biggest concern, especially after the villa fire and the company explosion.

"Not this time. The location we chose is crowded, and the organization isn't reckless enough to provoke public outrage. They have a purpose," Rei said.

His reasoning made sense. The villa was in a remote area, and the pharmaceutical company had been forced into action.

"When do we act?" Shuichi Akai cared most about the timing.

"The sooner, the better. We'll act tomorrow." Rei had wanted today, but preparations weren't enough, and the organization's deranged woman who had self-harmed was still under treatment.

The conversation ended quickly. Last time, because Ren had exposed himself and Akai had been discovered, they had been on the defensive.

Now they had the initiative. Their snipers would be stationed along every route, ensuring the operation's completion.

"As long as we escort the organization members to Neon Prison, it counts as a complete success. If we kill Chianti, it's still not a failure," Rei said.

For them, failure wasn't an option. Success was the only acceptable outcome; if they failed, they'd have no one to blame but themselves.
