Back at home, Ren immediately activated the villa's security system.
If a single living person approached near the villa, the alarm would be triggered.
After getting everything ready, the three of them began preparing dinner.
They didn't dwell on what had just happened.
After all, the FBI and Japanese police both knew what Gin looked like, and there hadn't been any danger so far.
Meanwhile...
"Did we lose them in this mall? Does this mall even have surveillance cameras?" Akai Shuichi's face looked grim.
Rei Furuya looked equally unhappy.
His team couldn't even follow the target properly.
"There's no surveillance. Today is the weekend and the mall is crowded. They blended in and disappeared."
The Japanese police officer from Neon Prefecture looked embarrassed.
He was a police officer, yet he failed to follow the target.
"How many entrances does the mall have?" Akai Shuichi asked.
"There are three entrances to the mall."
"Did they come by car?"
"No. The man carried all the things they bought while shopping. I asked the nearby parking lot security, and no vehicles came in or out during that time."
The man shook his head.
"They probably took a taxi back," Akai Shuichi said.
The two men didn't say anything and waited for Akai Shuichi to continue.
"From what you described earlier, they were using their phones before entering the mall. At that moment, they likely noticed you and started guessing who you were. They probably guessed you were police or something like that."
"How is that possible? Are detectives that useless?"
"You didn't explain your following tactics, but I guess you acted very normally, right?" Akai Shuichi asked.
"Isn't it a bit rash to guess I'm police just based on that?" The man was confused.
"The other side is the main developer of the organization's lie detector. They weeded out many moles inside the organization — FBI, CIA, Japanese police, and spies from other countries.
Do you think the FBI, CIA, or Japanese police would follow rules? Or that detectives would?
The only ones who follow rules are you guys.
It's not surprising they guessed you." Akai Shuichi patiently explained.
Now, the man understood why he had been exposed, and he gained a deeper understanding of the organization.
Why did Rei Furuya stop going undercover yet still choose to investigate the organization?
Because this organization was too dangerous.
Rei Furuya's eyes turned dangerous.
What did the FBI and CIA think of Japan?
"There should be cameras on the traffic lights," Shuichi Akai asked.
With too few surveillance cameras, it would be hard to track.
"There are some."
"Please check the traffic light cameras nearby. Look at the footage from ten minutes after you entered this mall, for about half an hour. Confirm if the same taxi passes through several unrelated intersections."
Rei Furuya immediately assigned the task.
"Okay, this will take some time."
"Mm."
Rei Furuya and Shuichi Akai found a place to sit down.
This kind of screening wouldn't take too long, mainly because taxi fares in Japan were extremely expensive.
With the help of the traffic police, less than an hour later, they identified twenty cars with similar routes.
They called each taxi one by one and confirmed a total of fifteen locations.
"How can you be so sure about this result?" the public security man looked at Shuichi Akai.
"The enemy would conduct counter-surveillance. If that's the case, I judge from the mindset of someone trying to avoid detection. If I'm right, the enemy might have just brushed past you."
Shuichi Akai analyzed.
"That's impossible," the man couldn't believe it.
"Fifteen residences. Focus on high-end communities and villas. Which one will your public security choose?"
Shuichi Akai asked the man—no, he was actually asking Rei Furuya.
"We'll choose a high-end residential area, and share any intel immediately," said Rei Furuya.
"I'll head over to the villa district then," said Shuichi Akai, speeding off in his car.
Seeing the FBI's moves, the public security officers finally understood why they were suspected.

[This drone is pretty good, it meets your requirements within policy.]
Looking at the email, only BOSS's name appeared without any suffix. After thinking for a moment, he replied.
[BOSS, I need all the information on Sindora Corporation, and on Hiroki Sawada. If necessary, I'll have to make a trip.—Hennessy]
The reply came quickly after sending the email.
[5 minutes]
At that moment, the security system alerted. Ren glanced at his phone screen—four people stood outside his door.
The first two were familiar: Gin and Vodka. The other two seemed to be the organization's snipers.
Ren used his phone to open the door.
"Amazing! There was no one here, how did it open?" The woman in black was very surprised.
"Sherry, where's Hennessy?"
"He's on the second floor." Sherry was a bit wary of Gin.
"The technology here is so advanced." The woman in black looked around, touching left and right.
"Chianti, let's go." Gin led the way upstairs.
The four met Ren sitting on the sofa in the second-floor living room.
"Hey, so you're Hennessy? You look ordinary." Chianti shouted.
"Gin, who's this idiot?"
"Who are you calling idiot?" Chianti tried to rush forward to hit Ren.
"Chianti." Gin's eyes turned cold.
Kohn gave Chianti a slight tug, finally calming him down.
"Today, I went to the lab to check when the drones would be ready for deployment," Gin said directly.
"They can assist with sniping," Kohn replied briefly.
"The drones can sense wind direction, wind speed, and use infrared and thermal imaging to confirm target distance. Plus, they have ultra-long-distance control and self-destruction capabilities. How about that? Pretty strong, right?" Ren said proudly.
Knowing Ren's personality well, Gin didn't interrupt and let him finish.
"Awesome! Hennessy, how did you get such a brain?" Vodka immediately said.
"So, what's my answer?"
"After testing, a batch of products will come out. It will take two months. Want a test model?" Ren smiled.
"Send me the test program after it's done. I can't wait that long," Gin said.
"Alright." Ren tapped his phone and said, "You can pick it up later."
"Here is the info you need on Sindora Corporation and Hiroki Sawada," Gin left a file and prepared to leave.
"So fast! Boss's execution is really powerful," Ren thought to himself.
Just as Gin was about to leave, the alarm went off.
"What's going on?" Gin turned to Ren.
"Someone from public security followed me when I went out today. Although I lost them, I'm a bit worried, so I activated the security system," Ren said helplessly.
"Public security? Why are they after you? Have you been exposed?" Gin's tone turned cold.
"Not sure. Maybe they saw me checking emails while walking earlier. So annoying. Since you're here, help me handle it," Ren sighed.
"Hmph, who's coming?" Gin didn't waste time.
Ren immediately pulled up the footage. Though only three seconds, it was clear enough.
"Shuichi Akai," Gin's expression turned dangerous.
"Why is he targeting me? Doesn't make sense." Ren was confused. He never contacted that person; the intel was uneven.
"Next, you, Sherry, and that useless one relocate. Leave this place to me." Gin tossed a key.
"Got it." Ren took the lab's top-floor key but wasn't interested in the fight between Gin and Shuichi Akai.
"Finally, time to take down that traitor," Chianti also showed a dangerous look.
Kohn said nothing, but his hand on the sniper rifle revealed his thoughts.
"Silver bullet, this time, let's see who's the real prey." Gin took a drag from his cigarette and made a call.
