Captain Buggy, the red-nosed clown pirate, angrily floated as he ranted about killing everyone who dares oppose him.
Zoro's patience snapped. "You're too noisy," he growled, slashing his swords down.
Buggy's hand and leg detached with a clean cut, flying off his body.
Kon's eyes widened. 'What the—?' he thought, expecting blood or panic. Instead, the Buggy Pirates burst out laughing, clutching their sides.
'Why're they laughing?' Kon thought, confused.
Before Zoro could react, Buggy's detached hand, still gripping a dagger, floated up and lunged at him from behind.
Kon's instincts kicked in, and he grabbed the hand mid-air, holding it like a curious toy. "Woah, how'd you do this?" he said, turning it over.
'It's moving on its own!' he thought, fascinated. He looked at Buggy, grinning. "Never mind… Clown guy, you should definitely join our crew. A clown who can make his hands and legs fly separately? That's so cool. Don't worry, with me as vice-captain, no one'll bully you."
Kon was already imagining Buggy juggling his own limbs and entertaining the crew. He and Goku would make perfect juggling partners. They would have a circus on their pirate ship!
Buggy's face turned purple, his nose twitching. "I said NEVER! And bully me? Who'll save you from me, brat?"
'This kid's mocking me!' he thought, his detached leg flying back and reattached itaelf.
One of Buggy's pirates, a scrawny man with a bandana, piped up proudly.
"Captain Buggy ate the Bara Bara no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that lets him split his body into pieces and reassemble them at will. It makes him immune to slashing attacks!"
"Our captain's practically unbeatable by swordsman like you Roronoa Zoro." the pirate said
Buggy grinned, striking a pose. 'That's right, fear my power!' he thought, his ego swelling.
Nami, watching from the side, raised an eyebrow at the pirate's loose lips. 'Idiot just spilled his boss's secret,' she thought, then glanced at Buggy, who was oblivious, basking in the praise. 'This guy's too full of himself.'
Kon tilted his head, gripping his staff. "So only slashes don't work on you? What about my staff…" He paused, his curiosity sparking.
"Let's test it!" With an innocent grin, he swung his iron staff, smashing it right onto Buggy's head. A loud crack echoed, and blood spurted from Buggy's mouth as his head detached, rocketing into the sky like a cannonball. His body crumpled backward, hitting the ground with a thud.
Kon's eyes widened, and he scratched his head. "Oopsie, I hit him too hard. Hope he's not dead. I still want him to join our crew."
'That was an accident,' he thought, wincing. 'He's gotta be okay, right?' Goku chattered, mimicking a head flying, making Kon laugh nervously. 'Goku's not worried, so maybe it's fine.'
Zoro turned to the remaining Buggy Pirates, raising his swords, his eyes cold. 'Time to clean up,' he thought, stepping forward.
The pirates exchanged panicked glances, their laughter gone. They turned and ran, scrambling over each other to escape the plaza. Zoro cut a few who were in the back.
Nami got the keys to Luffy prison from Buggy's headless body and unlocked the cage.
The townspeople, who'd been cowering under Buggy's rule, saw their chance. They grabbed brooms, shovels, and anything else, chasing the pirates out of town with shouts and swings.
Nami slipped away during the chaos, heading for Buggy's hideout and ship.
'Its a good opportunity to take their treasure and the map of the grand line,' she thought, smirking.
'Buggy's out, and his crew is running. It's the perfect time to grab the loot." She glanced back at Luffy, Zoro, and Kon, who were chasing the pirates. Even the four armed monkey was aiming his guns at the pirates and shooting with pin point accuracy. She saw the monkey take two more guns from the fallen pirates, now weilding a gun in each of his four hands.
'These guys are strong but very dumb,' she thought. 'I'll stick with them, earn some bellies, and when the time comes, take their money too. They don't call me Nami, the Cat Burglar, for nothing.'
Kon nudged Luffy, pointing at the sky where Buggy's head had flown. "Think he'll come back?"
'I really want him on the crew,' he thought, imagining Buggy's flying limbs at parties.
Luffy laughed, adjusting his hat. "If he does, we'll just hit him again! We will ask if he wants to join our crew but I don't think that he is interested."
Luffy asked Nami if she wants to join the crew since she mentioned that she knows how to navigate the season and study the map.
"Welcome to the crew, Nami!" Luffy said
"I am the crew's Vice captain, Kon. And this is the sniper of the crew, Goku." Kon introduced himself and Goku who sky said hi to nami.
Zoro introduced himself and looked suspisiously at her.
'He is the only one that I need to be careful off.' Nami thought
The group left the plaza, following Luffy, who'd returned with two treasure chests. Kon carried one and Nami carried the other one.
'Hope there's sweets in here. They are very light though,' Kon thought, his mouth watering. They reached the dock, where their tiny rowboat waited.
Nami set her chest down, frowning as she lifted the lid. It was empty. She opened the other—also empty. "What?!" she shouted, glaring at Luffy.
'Where's the gold?' she thought, her plan crumbling.
Luffy scratched his head, grinning sheepishly. "Oh, I might've given the treasure to the townspeople to help 'em out."
'They looked like they needed it,' he thought, unbothered by Nami's glare.
