Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 – One Punch Sends Akainu Flying!?

This was the result of Good's careful thinking.

In many well-known anime, the protagonists actually aren't that smart. Just look at Luffy from the One Piece world, or Gokū from Dragon Ball, or Saitama from One Punch Man — none of them are exactly geniuses.

So Good decided to sacrifice his intelligence.

Now that he thought about it, when Saitama still had hair, he actually looked pretty smart. But after he became strong, not only did he go bald, he also got a lot dumber. Could it be… he also sacrificed his intelligence?

After sacrificing his IQ, Good quickly received a newbie gift pack and obtained: Super Physique, Kokyu Busoshoku Haki (Advanced Armament Haki), Fusion, and God-Level Combat Awareness.

After that, Good began training under Saitama's golden motto:

100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10-kilometer run every single day.

It was all to build up his stamina, so that he could recover more in battle.

It wasn't until three months later that Good happened to encounter Sengoku. At that point, he was in peak condition and could already recover from ten lethal injuries.

Sengoku, seeing this potential, brought him back to Marine Headquarters and recommended him for the position of Fourth Admiral.

Inside the conference room, everyone was speechless at Good's words.

On the upper left side of the room, Akainu — who had asked the question — was so furious he actually laughed after hearing Good's answer.

This guy really had no idea how high the sky was or how deep the sea went...

Even someone like Akainu wouldn't dare to speak so arrogantly about dealing with the Four Emperors. Just how conceited did this brat have to be to spout something that outrageous?

Did he think the title of "Yonko"(Four Emperors) was just for show?

Did he think they were made of clay?

Akainu gave Good a long, hard look — defiant, cold, and full of disdain.

With a flash of his eyes and a slight smirk, he said to Good,

"Come on! Try hitting me right now, Good!"

"I want to see if you have the right to talk like that!"

Everyone around silently turned their attention to Good.

They all understood — Akainu wanted to crush the arrogance of this newly appointed Admiral.

At the head of the table, Good raised a hand and gave a goofy grin.

"I'm an Admiral now, and so are you. We're on the same side."

"I, Good, don't hit my own comrades. Hehe!"

Honestly, it might've been better if he hadn't said anything — the way he looked while speaking annoyed Akainu to no end.

Without another word, Akainu clenched his fist and lashed out with lightning speed.

His punch whistled through the air. Even though Akainu's main strength was his Devil Fruit, his taijutsu was still top-tier for an Admiral.

His fist, covered in Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki), shot toward Good's abdomen.

Sengoku, sitting beside them, immediately shouted:

"Akainu, this is a meeting! What are you doing—!"

Before he could finish, Good — who had just looked like a fool — suddenly moved faster.

God-Level Combat Awareness kicked in with incredible force. As Akainu's punch came in, Good calmly turned his hand into a palm, covered it in Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki), and blocked it.

At the same time he defended, his other fist — also coated in Busoshoku Haki — smashed into Akainu's chest.

Akainu's pupils shrank. He tried to put up a defense, but it was too late — he hadn't even retracted his punch.

Good's punch landed squarely on his chest.

BOOM!!

A heavy sound echoed. Akainu was sent flying back with a grunt, crashing straight into his seat and shattering it to pieces, then slammed into the wall of the meeting room.

Everything happened in a flash. Akainu was sent flying before anyone could even react. Everyone in the room stared in disbelief.

Sure, Akainu hadn't gone all out — he didn't use his full strength or his Devil Fruit. But the fact that Good could send him flying with one punch was proof of his power.

Koby and Helmeppo, watching this unfold, trembled with fear.

"Wh-what did I just witness!?" Helmeppo's voice shook.

"Akainu got sent flying by Admiral Good with one punch!?" Koby couldn't believe his eyes.

And it wasn't just the two of them — everyone at the table was shocked.

Vice Admiral Onigumo looked utterly stunned.

Beside him, Vice Admiral Mole nodded solemnly in agreement.

The whole thing had happened so fast that the weaker Vice Admirals hadn't even seen what went down. All they knew was that Akainu flew across the room.

On the other side, Tsuru turned to look at Garp.

Garp looked back at her, his eyes shining. "Good's Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki) isn't bad at all."

As the top taijutsu user in the Navy, even though the exchange between Akainu and Good lasted only an instant, Garp still sensed something — Good's Busoshoku Haki was strong.

Not quite at Garp's level, but strong enough to rival the veteran Vice Admirals.

At the head of the table, Good — who had just punched Akainu away — suddenly heard the system in his head:

"Host has gained: Strength +9, Speed +9, Armament Haki +13... Magma Fruit Replication Progress: 5%."

That one punch had boosted his stats again. But having sacrificed his intelligence, Good showed no visible emotion.

He just raised an eyebrow and said, "Yo! Not bad!"

Akainu, getting up from the ground, heard that and thought Good was mocking him.

He'd been punched across the room, and now this guy said "not bad"? What was that, if not a provocation?

Without a word, Akainu stood up and took off his Justice coat. At the same time, magma began to pour from his body.

In an instant, the entire conference room was filled with heat. The magma dripped to the floor, which hissed and sizzled under the intense temperature.

From beneath the shadow of his cap, no one could clearly see Akainu's expression. But his voice was low and cold:

"I didn't use my powers just now… Good, this time will be your real test!!!"
