"There is a test today."
The moment those words left Aizawa's mouth, the atmosphere in Class A-1 changed completely.
All the students fell silent, not a single one could speak — how could they, when the teacher had just told them there was a test on the very first day?
But there was one person smiling.
There was a very wide smile on Toge's face...
The only reason he hadn't spoken the entire day was to gather cursed energy, and now the time had come to use it.
Aizawa began to speak in a serious and direct tone. He told them they would undergo an immediate physical ability test, and that they should quickly change their clothes and head to the training field.
Before speaking further, Aizawa mentioned that the academy doesn't care about traditional celebrations or normal activities — instead, it focuses on developing their abilities as heroes.
The students quickly headed off to change clothes, and among them was Toge, who headed to a corner of the room before taking off the uniform he was wearing.
Toge removed his clothes and looked at the body reflected in the mirror.
It was a young man with a slim and athletic build, not overly muscular. His appearance suggested agility and speed more than brute strength.
But the most prominent feature was the cursed marks on his cheeks, in addition to his tongue: "Snake Eye and Fang" on his cheeks.
As soon as Toge finished changing, he walked out of the locker room and looked at the students who were already present.
The students were wearing the academy's sports uniform, while Aizawa held a device to measure speed, distance, and strength.
Then he told them they would perform some usual tests like running, jumping, and throwing a ball — but the difference was that they could use their quirks freely to achieve the best results.
Toge didn't listen to the teacher's explanation because he already knew all the rules from the anime, so he just looked around the field.
And even though Toge wasn't paying attention to the rules, Aizawa didn't bother to warn him.
"Alright, let's start the test," said Aizawa before announcing the start of the test.
The first test was the ball throw. Aizawa called Bakugou Katsuki to throw the ball first.
As soon as Bakugou held the ball, he used his explosive quirk to throw it with tremendous force.
The ball launched at maximum speed.
After a few seconds, a number appeared on the screen: 705.2 meters.
This result shocked the students.
"I'll get a much higher score."
"No, I'll get the highest score."
Toge looked at the students arguing, then looked at Aizawa's annoyed face.
"The student with the lowest score will be expelled from the academy," Aizawa said firmly.
As soon as those words left Aizawa's mouth, everyone was shocked — especially Midoriya Izuku (Deku).
Toge felt a little pity toward Deku before the teacher called his name:
"Midoriya... please come here," said Aizawa, pointing at Deku.
As soon as Deku held the ball, he took a few seconds before throwing it with all his strength.
Even the students were surprised — the ball wasn't even thrown; it just fell to the ground naturally.
And amidst everyone's surprise, there was one person who knew what happened.
As soon as Deku tried to put his power into his fingers to use One For All, Aizawa activated his quirk, which erased Deku's ability — but this would only happen once.
"Sorry, I'll try again."
Deku grabbed the ball before throwing it with all his might, but this time, he used the One For All skill, which caused a sound like a gunshot from Deku's hand.
The result appeared on the meter screen, and everyone was shocked: 904.2 meters.
As soon as Deku finished throwing, it was Ochaco Uraraka's turn.
Uraraka took the ball in her hands, then lifted it high. Before throwing it, she used her special ability Zero Gravity.
Uraraka didn't throw the ball with her muscles' strength — she made the ball weightless. And as soon as it became light as a feather, she threw it with all her strength toward the sky.
The ball flew very high and kept going upward, as if it had completely escaped Earth's gravity.
Everyone looked in astonishment at the ball disappearing into the horizon.
The device kept measuring the distance, and the number kept increasing non-stop.
Uraraka continued watching the meter with a calm smile.
No final number appeared because the ball kept rising and disappearing into the sky.
Aizawa announced that Uraraka's result was "Infinity."
And so, the students continued taking the throw test one by one, until Aizawa called Toge's name:
"Inumaki Toge... it's your turn," said Aizawa, before Toge picked up the ball and headed to the center of the field.
"It's finally time," said Inumaki Toge, a smile on his lips.
"Blood pressure will rise in my right hand," Toge muttered as he activated his skill — and even though he could wish for the ball to become weightless, that would consume a huge amount of cursed energy.
Toge held the ball while stepping back like a professional baseball pitcher.
But while Toge was preparing to throw, Aizawa had already activated his quirk.
He wanted to find out the nature of Toge's skill.
But as soon as Toge threw the ball — everything changed.
