Chapter 22 - Battle Test

Toge woke up to the buzzing sound of his phone alarm. The sun had begun to cast its first rays through the window, revealing his new surroundings. The bed was medium-sized and reasonably comfortable, and the room was old but clean and livable. The house itself was in average condition, but much better than that shack.

"Ahhh," Toge groaned before getting out of bed lazily.

Toge headed to the bathroom. Although the bathroom looked old, it was clean. He couldn't imagine that those trashy people actually cared about cleanliness. He brushed his teeth, then looked at his face in the mirror. His face was pale, and his eyes glowed with a faint purple hue. He remembered what had happened yesterday, and although there was still much to do before he could open his own domain, it wasn't impossible.

Toge let out a sarcastic laugh. "No problem... it'll open one day."

After finishing up, Toge got dressed and headed to the kitchen. He opened the fridge to find some light snacks, which he ate.

As soon as Touji got dressed and left the house, the sun had risen higher in the sky, its golden rays filling the streets. He looked around and saw the three men sleeping outside the shack.

"Looks like they couldn't sleep inside that shack," Touji joked.

Toge walked toward the academy, observing the road along the way

The road to the academy was crowded with people even though it was still early in the morning.

Children were running after each other on their way to school while the sounds of the markets filled the place in addition to the beautiful geometric road extending to the school

When he arrived at the massive building, he felt a sense of awe. The academy looked like a castle, its glass walls reflecting the sunlight, and its large doors towering above. Touji entered the building and found himself in a wide hall filled with students. Everyone was talking excitedly, and some were showing off their powers. Touji wasn't interested in talking to anyone.

He headed to class 1-A, entering quietly. The classroom was filled with students seated in their places, waiting for the lesson to begin. Touji noticed a messy-haired student sitting at his desk, appearing to be asleep. That was the teacher, Shota Aizawa.

Aizawa stood in front of the students, his expressionless face sparking their curiosity. "Good morning," he said in a low voice. "Well... today, we won't be having a regular class."

The students grew tense, but Touji knew what the teacher was about to say.

"Today, we'll be conducting a test to assess your abilities," Aizawa continued. "But this test won't be like any test you've taken before. It's a combat test."

The students were shocked by his words. Everyone started to wonder what he meant by that, and whether the test would be dangerous.

"The purpose of this test is to teach you how to use your abilities in a real combat scenario," Aizawa explained. "But it won't be individual this time. You'll be divided into teams."

As the students exchanged looks, Aizawa pulled out a small box. "Inside this box are balls with numbers on them. Each number represents a team. You'll work together as one team and face off against another team."

The students stepped forward one by one and drew their balls. Touji pulled a ball marked with the number 3.

Then he looked at the ball Mineta had drawn, but unlike his, it wasn't numbered. It was entirely green.

"Now, here are the details of the test," said Aizawa. "A team of heroes will face a team of villains. The heroes' objective is to stop the villains or touch a fake bomb placed in a specific location. The villains' objective is to protect the bomb or capture the heroes."

"As for the green ball, since the number of students is fewer than the number of teams, there will be one exception."

"And what is that exception?" asked Touji in surprise.

"Simply, a team of two will face three students. Of course, if you're going to complain about fairness, I don't care," Aizawa said with a smile.

"Are you ready?" Aizawa asked, his eyes glowing with seriousness.

"Yes!" the students answered in unison, their hearts filled with excitement.

"Yeah..." Touji said in a lazy tone.

After Aizawa announced the details of the combat test, the students exchanged glances, wondering who their opponents would be. Suddenly, the giant classroom doors shook, and a loud, deep voice filled the room.

"Fear not... for I am here!"

A massive and impressive figure appeared behind the door, his wide smile lighting up the place, and his blond hair styled in a strange upward fashion. This was the number one hero, All Might. His blue eyes sparkled with intensity, and his mere presence inspired hope.

The students were stunned at the sight of him. No one expected All Might to be the one overseeing their first test. Everyone exchanged glances, whispers filling the room. "It's All Might!" "Are we going to fight him?" "This is insane!"

Touji quietly observed the scene, a faint smile on his face. "Oh... All Might has appeared," Toge thought. "He looks really strong."

"I'm here to teach you how to become true heroes!" All Might said in a powerful voice. "Today, I'll be your judge, and I'll be watching your every move. Remember, a hero never gives up!"

His words filled the students with courage and excitement. Everyone was ready now.

After the teams were formed, they were as follows:

Hero Team A: Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka

Vs

Villain Team D: Katsuki Bakugo and Tenya Iida

---

Hero Team B: Shoto Todoroki and Shoji Mezo

Vs

Villain Team I: Mashirao Ojiro and Toru Hagakure

Hero Team C: Momo Yaoyorozu and Mina Ashido

"As for Touji, his team consisted of:

Minoru Mineta, who was part of Team C

They faced Team K, which consisted of Mezo Shoji with Hanta Sero

and Koji Koda."

"Alright, let's see who will start the test," said Aizawa before clapping his hands.
