I should summon a second person.
Leon thought while staring at the patient boy before him, he didn't even know the guys name!
Taking a deep breath Leon slowly approached the boy and sat down next to him. Morris felt a gentle warmth blanket him, his pupils trembled as he looked at the figure next to him. Leon summoned a cup in his hands, his fingers moving along the edge.
He gazed into the sea inside which encompasses all colors and possibilities. Last time he tried the same thing and was able to gain the sequence 9 potion formula from the corpse Collector pathway, now he tried using the same tactic to get the boys name.
In his eyes Leon saw a woman hold a baby in her arms, a child she named Morris, Morris Byrne.
East Balam.
Tros island.
Brook Village.
17 years old.
Information flowed into Leon's brain... Information that was too much to handle. His eyes began blurring and his vision worsened, at one point he almost went blind. Leon finally relaxed and looked at Morris who sat next to him.
"Child, tell me what has happened since last time we met."
Morris looked around the place for a bit, he was ashamed really, because in reality he hasn't done much.
"I'm sorry, I was too cowardly. The church definitely has these ingredients but i got too scared when I approached the- everyone just turned into a monster! I even saw the real body of the silent one! All the villagers just circled around it and prayed to it."
Leon listened to the ravings of his follower closely. He was going to play the role of a kind, warm, welcoming god.
Finally he decided to speak in a firm tone.
"Courage is the complement of fear. A man who is fearless cannot be courageous. He is also a fool."
If Roselle can steal quotes, then so can I!
Morris's eyes widened in awe when he listened to the Primordial Light's words. The quote didn't suddenly fix everything but it did give him some confidence in himself.
The church went silent for a while, Morris simply sat there basking in the safety he felt when close to god, a safety he hasn't felt in a long time.
...
At this point 2 minutes went by without anyone speaking, but for entirely different reasons.
I don't know what to tell him... I'm not good with human emotions, just like in my previous life. I didn't feel much, now im pretending to be a all loving god.
"My lord, I am afraid of death." Morris's lips bobbed up and down, his arms wrapped around himself.
...
The Primordial Light reached out with a gloved hand and grabbed Morris's hand, pulling him out and dragging him along. The double doors of the church slowly opened, a blue bright light filled the church.
Before Morris was a long bride, a blue bridge made from diamonds, a bridge floating high above the clouds, beneath was a bright blue ocean. There were countless other bridges supported by bridge arches. Some were higher and others lower, but there were seemingly infinite bridges all leading to different doors of light.
"Possibilities, all these roads lead to different timelines."
The primordial light was confident with "His" words.
"I will make sure, you don't die in this timeline."
...
Once the meeting was over Leon decided to explore the outside, he stepped out of the church and began walking towards the giant door of light at the end of the bridge. The closer the more uncomfortable he became. The door was about a kilometer away from the church. The moment Leon entered the 100 meter range he was knocked unconscious.
"Eh?"
Leon found himself lying on a pew back inside the church. He was filled with disappointment.
Maybe in the future.
He got back up and walked towards the sanctuary with careful steps, the moment he got there he closed his eyes and decided to attempt summoning another person.
A sea of colors entered his vision, a sea of prayers in different languages. Green, blue, red and many other colors. They all converged together before blowing up in a brilliant flashy way. These colors transformed into orbs that slowly floated towards Leon slowly.
Ping!
Leon poked one of them and saw a woman sitting before an altar praying in ancient hermes. Long brown hair and bright green eyes. She was wearing brown gloves that fit her peanut colored dress.
...
Nancy sat before the altar and prayed after what she witnessed, her entire squad turned pregnant and gave birth to monsters! Luckily she managed to escape, she prayed to the Earth Mother only to be ignored. She decided to finally pray to a different existence.
In an instant she was floating through the cosmos- no this wasn't it. Light was concentrated in a few different places, creating spots. All authorities and symbolisms were inside this abstract world.
This... the Astral World?
Nancy was very confused by what she saw, her body kept floating upwards to an unbelievable height until she passed through some sort of mist. Slowly she descended and landed onto a pew, she was inside a church.
On the sanctuary was a man, or god. This person stared back at Nancy with warmth in "His" eyes. Each step echoed as "He" approached her. His long blonde messy hair swayed in the wind, his two hands in white gloves were behind his back.
A joyous smile graced "His" face.
