For there to be a time loop, there had to be a cause.
The time loop definitely started at 2AM. Eli left about thirty minutes before 2... it took me about 8 minutes to sneak in and out of Warren Lee's mansion, heh. And then I came back as fast as possible, a little longer and I would have turned into a woman. Hmm. Leaving the hotel after 2AM caused the loop to restart. I'll assume that there are limited loops and I can't just keep retrying. Eli seems to have realized the same thing.
Eli wanted to use divination, but he was too scared. He didn't want to see something he shouldn't, creating a time loop was without a doubt something only high sequence beyonders could do.
Leon decided to step out into the hallway instead of staying in his room, he looked around and saw a older gentleman with white sideburns and a tailcoat come out of his room. The man came out of the room next to Leon's, they were staying at room 513 while the man next to them was in room 515.
Leon looked at the man before asking a question out of nowhere.
"Has anything strange happened to you lately sir?"
The man next to him chuckled.
"Just call me Mr. Amos. Anything strange hmm? I guess the clock in my room has being acting up."
What?
Mr. Amos and Leon exchanged a look. The atmosphere was... strange.
"Acting up? What do you mean?"
Suddenly a man appeared at the end of the hallway, a pale man with high cheekbones and slicked back black hair. He was wearing a very expensive suit and carried a dark brown cane.
"Have you two... gentlemen witnessed anything strange?"
...
Morris was kneeling on the floor praying to death piously, he was begging to be saved from his current situation.
The skies above were constantly gray, and the temperature was constantly at 10 degrees Celsius.
Images of the Silent One would constantly flash across his face at every moment. Tears flowed freely down his cheeks as he grabbed the rifle and pointed it at his head, but he never pulled the trigger. He was too much of a coward to do it. The gun fell from his hands and cluttered on the floor.
"I can't do it..."
The windows and doors of the home were all boarded up. Except for one window on the second floor which he used to get in and out the house.
...
Leon wasn't dressed particularly fancy so he stood out from the two gentlemen. Leon was wearing a brown waistcoat he got for 7 Soli and some high waist work trousers he got for 6 Soli. It wasn't of the highest quality but it did the work.
Leon looked at the gentleman with a cane who was talking to Mr. Amos.
Does he know of the loop?
Why else would he ask such a question right now?
"That's interesting, this man right here asked the exact same thing" Mr Amos reached into his breast pocket and pulled out a round object, at first Leon thought it was a monocle but it was just a silver pocket watch. The pocket watch snapped open and Mr Amos nodded.
"I have indeed noticed something weird, but shouldn't we also ask the others here?"
The man with the cane nodded and began knocking on some doors. It was pretty late at night but this was a important matter.
Room's 507 door opened revealing a slightly chubby man with disheveled blonde hair stand there.
"The hell are you knocking on doors for at this-"
When the blonde man focused his gaze on the man with the cane he suddenly went quiet.
"What seems to be the problem?"
A woman walked up from behind with the same blond hair, Leon's intuition went off as he looked at her hand and found a Golden ring on the ring finger.
Must be his wife.
"I just wanted to ask if you have witnessed anything weird... or if anything weird has happened to you."
The blonde man scratched his chin and shook his head.
"N-no, nothing of the sort. Why?"
Mr, Amos and Leon were standing side by side and watched the man with the cane walk around knocking on doors, strangely enough almost no one on the fourth floor knew about the strange thing that was happening. When he was done with the floor he glared at Amos and Leon.
"Oh dear, did we do something wrong?"
Mr. Amos chuckled and groomed his white beard. The man with a cane walked past without much of a goodbye.
And I thought he was a gentleman. He's probably gonna ask the others. Wait... right now me, Eli, Mr. Amos and that cane dude know about the loop. There are 7 others on this floor who don't seem to know anything. Could it be only beyonders know about the loop? This is kind of a crazy theory but it's definitely possible! Maybe that guy with a cane was a official beyonder, and he realized the same thing as me so he ignored me and Mr. Amos... yes, that's very possible. But I can't be sure. I can't just straight up ask them. What if that man is indeed a official beyonder and arrests me?!
Eli Cooper walked out of the room in a black windbreaker while holding a hat in his left hand. When he noticed Mr. Amos, Eli gave a polite bow.
"Eli Cooper."
"Amos Evans."
The two quickly exchanged names.
"Eli Cooper eh? I actually know your father, Matthew Cooper. the two of us have done business before, I actually introduced him to the Quelaag Club."
Eli Cooper smiled and sighed
"Ah, the social club? So that's where my father has been meeting all those women."
...
Leon stood awkwardly while the two men laughed.
Is that supposed to be funny? Is Eli's father Intisian?
Leon know Intisian's as the ones who cheat on their partners, since it was a popular thing there.
Leon, Mr. Amos and Eli walked together to the first and sat around in the lobby.
"So, Mr. Amos, let's get back to the important thing. The strange happenings. You said something was up with your clock?"
Leon attempt to probe information from the man sitting infront of him.
"Yes, I went to sleep at about 1 AM which is pretty late for a man like me. When I woke up it only 2! I tried going to sleep again and when I woke up it was still only 2AM."
He woke up precisely when the loop started?
Bang!
A gunshot rang from the floor above.
